I didn't wait long before a staff member walked in and started on my hair right away and this was without an appointment on a Saturday morning, awesome! !! I must say before my hair was started there was a woman there cutting men's hair and she was super nice, had clients coming in back to back and was doing an awesome job. She did such a wonderful job that I must definitely tell my BF to schedule an appointment with her. Now back to my experience. So I did a wash which felt like my head was getting massaged (loved that) a deep conditioning treatment and then a blow dry. I was truly happy with the way my hair came out and would definitely come back. I did read some past reviews that weren't pleasing but I'm glad I gave this place a chance. I was very happy with the outcome and feel like I should now be in a hair commercial, yes that's how fabulous my hair looks(flips hair don't care)!

After living in the Miami area for 5 months, I decided to check out Steven Michael's because of the high ratings and close location to home. Their hours are also awesome as many salons in the area are closed on Sunday. I was able to make an appointment for a cut and balayage between Christmas and New Years without a problem (and I only called about a week in advance). When I called I was connected to Elizabeth, who is a balayage goddess. It was great for talk on the phone about what I was looking for since I was pretty much jumping into the deep end without an in person consultation prior to the cut and color. When I arrived to the salon for my appointment, I was seated right away and Elizabeth got to work. I showed her some pictures and it was clear she knew exactly what I was looking for. I was in and out in about 2 hours, which was awesome (I had previously gone to a salon where this process would take 3 hours even with my short, fine hair). I put my trust in Elizabeth, and I was not disappointed! I went from a dark brunette color to a honey/caramel color in no time. I'm so excited to return!
