Had nothing but a good experience from the 1st time recently giving walmart salon a try the workers are outstanding. Gloria the manager has done my hair twice now and im am fully satisfied. She makes a great atmosphere. I will definitely send clientele there. read more

Hello! I went to this so called hair place at Walmart because I was in a rush to get my hair trimmed and thinned. Upon my arrival the lady at the front desk gave the lady doing my hair attitude saying she had a client and walked of. (I never saw her the rest of the time), So i was sat down and she began. For some background my hair is really thick and dries at some parts faster than others like patches : she used a comb and there was a small knot she tried getting out, the comb clearly wasn't working because she was pulling my head back and hurting me. I will say she was very talkative and nice. When it got to cutting my hair she made me stand the entire time and even put my hair right in my face which messed up my makeup a bit. She 100% forgot to thin my hair so I reminded her after putting my hair in a ponytail. It was a high ponytail and the top of my hair wasn't smooth and very frizzy! As being a professional she should know how to do hair... But she thinned my hair in a ponytail and further in the day my hair was falling out due to her not bothering to brush the hair after thinning. I never caught her name but I came on 7/6/24 around maybe like 3pm. I would also like to mention that the vibe of the hair salon was pretty just empty. Horrible staff and service. Took daughter there 3 months ago, paid 31.21 with 20 percent tip. Tried to get same stylist, received call she was not available and opted for Mindy was here name. Order same thing as last time, small trim, wash and blow dry. Daughter in chair for 20 minutes, went up to pay and bill was 56 dollars. Claims daughter hair is thick and added 20 dollars for that. My daughter is 16 and not a adult, I think you should make the parents aware of extra charges before cutting any hair. She shrugs and tells me that's reasonable and we got a deal. Then after a little heated exchange from my frustration of not being aware of the cost she decides to tell my daughter she feels sorry for her. I left a tip in which I shouldn't have but obviously she needs it more then me. Then she starting calling me Pathetic multiple times along with some other harsh words. I think my daughter told me she is the manager, what a place. I believe in karma and people will eventually get what they deserve. I will never go back to smart style again, obviously they hire people with no class at all. I'm a single parent and work hard for my money and save, not hurting at all. Obviously others are and think they can charge people whatever they feel like. She also mentioned she has 300 dollar scissors, that's actually a cheap set of scissors. Beware of people like this who feel they can upcharge anytime they want and make excuses as to why they're doing it. Walmart you can do a lot better. read more

This was the third time I came here to get my hair straightened and it certainly will be the last. The first time I went I was underwhelmed with the result, but for $14 I was happy to touch my hair up at home. The next time I went I had a really great experience, getting charged the same amount and my hair did not require any work at home. Yet when I came back this final time, I was told to wait 25 minutes and waited 45. Once i was finally in the chair my hair stylist left at least twice to help other customers for 10 minutes at a time, leaving me to wait again. When she was straightening my hair I had to ask her over and over again to please go over it again because it was very puffy and not straight at all. My hair was also slightly damp and she did not seem to know you couldn't straighten wet hair without blowing it dry first. After a total of 2 hours waiting there and getting my hair straightened (I had to go home and go over the entire thing because it was still curly) they charged me twice as much as last time. When I told them that I had never been charged this much and that I was told it was a different price, they shrugged and did not seem to do anything. This experience was a huge waste of my time and my stylist definitely needs more training because I could have done a better job myself at home and saved myself time and money. read more
