    I opened my S4's midframe to replace the USB charging port he broke and this mystery part fell out of my phone. Nice.

    UPDATE: yupp, it's confirmed. he broke my USB charging port. I just fixed the issue myself. it was fun opening up my phone and seeing a random black part just fall out of my phone. A+ fixing. I'm just gonna summarize my mediocre (turned frustrating) experience Samsung S4: broken LCD, glass, and digitizer - 200 for an replacement from Samsung +1 year warranty. - picked the phone up - noticed apps are missing... okay? that's... odd. - went to school, glued myself to my computer to write a thesis due in two days. (seriously speaking, my phone has spent more time in my bed than i have this week.) - phone runs out of battery, plugged it in - ERROR MESSAGE: "charging paused. battery temperature too low" - my phone thinks it's -25 degrees Celsius. (that's -13 degrees Fahrenheit and impossible in OC.) - replaced the battery, used different chargers, turned it off and on again, etc. nothing works. what the hell happened to my phone over there? - asked the previous owner if she had any temperature issues, she says no. - i also have not had any temperature issues (because if i did i would've gotten it fixed prior to this review, obviously) - i call and this guy is seriously interrupting me while i'm trying to clearly explain my situation - he's basically blaming it on me and implying that i MUST have done something. No. - i have had the phone for 12 hours - this literally happened at two in the morning today. - I even turned it in to this store at 90% battery earlier this week. Overall, could have bought another S4 with the money I paid for my LCD, only to get ADDITIONAL issues that I'll have to pay for in the future too?! Thanks Smartphone Repair! Now I have to constantly keep my phone connected to power, hooray for headaches!

    Originally, I took my shattered screen in for repair, and Shervin (owner) promised me he could fix it by the end of the day for $70. However, I didn't get my phone until 4 days later... All the while, he kept telling me "it's almost ready, you can pick it up really soon!" Every time I checked in or drove there, it would be "just about ready" but then turn out not to be. When I finally did get my phone back, I waited two hours in his shop as he "put the finishing touches on it". THEN, a week later, my phone screen cracked again. I thought it was kinda suspicious. I hadn't done anything to it. I decided to let it go and went back to Shervin again since the price was so good. He said he'd fix it for me in a day, but by this time I knew it would be much longer. A few days later, he called to say that my phone had cracked again when he put in the new screen. There was a problem with the frame that had been causing the screen to crack. I knew it! He tried to get me to pay more money for the repair, but after I argued with him (that it was his fault for not repairing it properly the first time), he agreed to give me the second fix for free. After pressuring Shervin a lot (because I had a big trip coming up), I got my phone a week later. Just one day after getting my phone back, I noticed these sort of ripples appearing in my screen. At this point they've spread all around the frame of my screen (see picture). Additionally, my phone cracked AGAIN in the same place it did before. I've called, emailed, and texted Shervin trying to ask him about this repair, but he won't respond to me. All along he had been pressuring me to leave a 5 star review here, but I thought I should wait to see how things went, and now that I'm $70 in with my phone in an even worse state than I started with, my only consolation is to leave this review here so that you won't get suckered in by this sleazy guy.

We highly recommend RX Tech Repair! Our laptop had been problematic for nearly a year. It was extremely slow and there were pop-ups interfering with a smooth log-in. We brought it to RX Tech Repair last November. Abdullah took a look at it and immediately diagnosed that the laptop was infested with malware. He also noticed immediately that the battery was bad. He has a keen eye. He pointed out to us a nearly imperceptible bulge in the area where the laptop battery is located. He opened the laptop and sure enough he was right! The battery was swollen and bulging. Abdullah quoted us a fair price to replace the battery. He offered to clean the malware off the laptop at no additional charge. He told us that it might be possible that our hard drive might also be faulty too, but he wouldn't know for sure until he performed the other work first. When we picked up our laptop it was working much better, but was still running slow. Abdullah told us that our hard drive was indeed faulty and might fail soon. He strongly recommended we replace the hard drive as soon as possible. We had some critical work to do using an obsolete program, so we took a risk and postponed our hard drive replacement. This March we brought our laptop back and Abdullah installed a new 1 Terabyte SSD. Again, his price was fair and very competitive. He also restored Windows 11 and MS360 along with some other software. Now the laptop runs great! It runs faster and better than when it was brand new! All during this laptop restoration process, we contacted Abdullah multiple times either by phone or text message asking him a myriad of questions on different technical matters. Abdullah always went above and beyond answering our questions and providing guidance and advice. He devoted so much of his valuable time and energy helping us without charging us. When we met with him in person he would also take the time to answer more questions and even demonstrate how to do things we were not familiar with. In the future, if we have issues with our computers, cell phones or other devices, we know where we will take them. Abdullah at RX Tech Repair is the best! Thank you Abdullah for great customer service.

I took my daughters phone in to get the back glass replaced. when we got the phone back and paid, my daughter noticed the screen on/off side button wasn't working anymore. we asked the tech about it, and he just bragged about what a good job he did and how pretty the phone was after repair. we pointed out again that it wasn't working appropriately. rather than try to help us figure out a solution, here are some of the things he told us "I have no proof that it was working before. you must be trying to get me to fix a problem you were already having for free" "if it's really a new problem you can just take it into Verizon and they'll give you a new phone for free because this one is so pretty now" "you are a joke if you think i broke your phone" no ownership or accountability. no willingness to provide any customer service. he got mad very quickly and started accusing me of all sorts of crazy stuff. all I wanted was to have a conversation as to how they might make this right. the next day I called the parent store in Huntington Beach. their recommendation: take it back in and have them take a look at it. they wouldn't give me a price estimate or any concessions that they might try to make it right, other than I would get charged full price for whatever new repairs the phone might need. I am not sinking any more money into this company. im guessing most people have positive results, but if anything at all goes wrong, don't expect any customer service of any sort.
