All I did was call to ask about availability of a certain item and whoever answered the phone was very short and rude with me. After looking at other reviews, it makes sense I guess but it's still shocking. The lady on the phone honestly made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about but in reality she should have had more knowledge about what they sold in their store. We went today at 2:30. The place was packed and there were three teenage girls at the sales counter. They looked us up and down when we walked in and never once stopped to address a single person. I felt like I was being punked. We were there for 30 minutes and when we left they were still talking about which friends got into which college. No acknowledgement of a single customer in the store. read more

My friends and I walked in 8 minutes before the store closed on a Saturday -- we were in town for a girls weekend and were trying our best to visit all of the cute stores in town before everything closed, and buy local. As we walked in, the shop owner/worker said, "we close in 8 minutes - I am leaving in 8 minutes so shop quickly". Immediately, we felt unwelcomed. This is not the vibe we received from any other boutique in town. Needless to say, we looked quickly & left without buying anything; if we had been more welcomed and had encountered a more friendly reception, I truly believe we would have left with bags of items in tow. I don't typically rate small and local businesses because I support and shop local as much as I can and I try to give people the benefit of a doubt but today's visit will be my last. I love all the clothes and have bough many items nearly every time I come in here even though I am typically met by some of the snootiest and rudest women working behind the desk. If you are the owner then you should probably have a chat with these ladies and teach them some common courtesy and southern charm. It may help keep customers coming in. It's a destination! Yes, it's a bit pricey, but they carry quality, pricey items. If you need jewelry, they have it. If you need shoes and clothing, they have it. Lots of their things are fun, but probably better for younger gals. They have a smattering of men's items, but a nice selection of children's clothing, toys, and books. There's always something on sale as well if you had to the back of the store. One day while shopping, a group of bridesmaids and the bride-to-be walked in all chattering excitedly about the store. A few girls made small purchases, but they loved the store. It's one of my go to places for gifts and baby items. I gave Smartie Pantz four stars just because of the pricing, but if you're looking for high-quality items, and are willing to pay the price, then they are five-star worthy. read more

High end clothing, brands, cute coffee table books, pillows, jewelry. Name brands: pura vida, havianna, jellycat, etc. some prices are a reflection of what these brands cost at any store. Summer staff was helpful in finding a particular size of shoe as well as some birthday gifts. read more
