The van and bus drivers don't know routes and often arrived at the jobs late, which we were socked. On the way home, the drivers had no control over the people on the bus.

A small boutique agency that really toes the extra mile. Sue was so nice to work with, she really kept me in the loop every step of the way. I met her in person at the office. The process was easy. I love that they use ADP and I can electronically put in my hours from home or at work. I'm not sure of the prior experience of a prior disgruntled employeewith her issues with pay but my experience is you get your hours in by the deadline, you get paid on time. If you don't, you have to wait until the next pay period. I've never had any issues with my pay from them but I always report on time and they send a nice reminder out to you as well! The only negative is that they don't offer benefits for a temp assignment but I was converted quickly to a perm employee so I have benefits via the company.

Nothing but dead air lately from The Smart Dept. I worked a job for them a while back and they did NOT have my back when the situation fell apart. They privately told me they were on my side and understood what my issues were with the client, but they did nothing to earn the money they robbed from me. This is a garbage company. Even something as basic as the lack of a search option on their website that would allow an applicant to search for local jobs, jobs in their field, or remote work has not been made available to applicants, which shows how out of touch and dumb this "smart" department really is. EDIT: Weeks have gone by without so much as an email telling me they've received any of my applications. They're on my block list now. I suspect the positive reviews here have come from employees of Smart Dept itself, or other plants and familiars.
