I dropped by this SmartCenter in Etobicoke a few months ago. I was here to check out Nando's…read more The Index part of the name refers to Index Road, which runs parallel to highway 427. This road forms a border for this SmartCenter. This road is in front of Best Buy, Winners, Walmart, Mark's, and Home Depot. North Queen Street runs parallel to The Queensway to the north. It's an interesting street in that it starts east-west and then curves to run north-south. It's west of Index Road. Nando's is in the far corner where the 427 and North Queen Street meet. There are a number of eateries around Nando's, such as Freshii, Tim Hortons, Sunset Grill, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Five Guys, and more. I like the selection of businesses in this plaza. It's a great mix for those who don't want to visit Sherway Gardens across the street, and would sooner hit a few stores without being a mall rat. The downside is the design of this plaza. If you are visiting businesses in this 427-North Queen Street corner, driving in is easy. Exiting is a nightmare. You basically have one lane to exit, where you are converging with another lane with customers who have shopped at larger box stores, such as Marshalls and PetSmart. I was trying to leave this plaza on a Saturday afternoon. It took me twenty minutes to finally drive away and get on with my day. To the designers: You missed the mark with your parking lot design. Horrible. Pack your patience coming here if you are driving. There are lots of parking spots, but it'll take a while for you to exit due to poor planning and design of this plaza. (12)

I had a disappointing experience with the pharmacy services at Shopper's Drug Mart in Six Points…read morePlaza, and I feel compelled to caution potential customers. On January 24th, I called the pharmacy and requested a delivery. I was informed it would arrive the following day on the 25th. There was no mention whatsoever of a delivery fee. Given that my medication is covered by my employer, the assumption of no payment required seemed reasonable to me, especially when it was not discussed during the initial call. I usually pick up my medication and pay for it in person actually, so I genuinely didn't know. Fast forward to January 29th, five days later, the delivery guy called in advance and asked for $2 upon arrival, which was the first time I had heard about this. I attempted to pay with a $20 bill when he arrived - it was all I had in my purse - only to be refused. Then begins the saga of trying to settle this paltry sum with the pharmacy. Upon being contacted by the pharmacy an hour later, I am met with hostility and inflexibility by a woman - she sounded Asian but I'm not entirely sure. Despite offering various payment methods, including a TD Debit Visa, paying online via their website or making a bank transfer, all are summarily rejected. Instead, I am bluntly told that only a traditional credit card will suffice, which I do not possess. She was increasing agitated and hostile at my suggestions to pay her. The pinnacle of unprofessionalism is reached when I am threatened with a ban on future deliveries and subjected to accusatory remarks. The pharmacist was angry and insisted that I should have known about the delivery fee despite it never being mentioned during the initial conversation. I told her this, and she said that he did tell me over the phone on the 24th and accused me of lying. I don't know how she can know this when she wasn't present during the call. I asked her if I could pay the delivery the next time I pick up my medication, and she just says, "Fine, whatever." The entire exchange left me feeling demeaned, disrespected, and utterly disgusted with the level of customer service provided. To be treated like a criminal over a mere $2 charge is not only absurd but indicative of a pharmacy that prioritizes profit over patient care. In conclusion, if you value your time, money, and sanity, I don't recommend Shopper's Drug Mart pharmacy at Six Points Plaza if you have other options. The sheer incompetence and unprofessionalism on display was unparalleled.

If you've ever lived or ventured to this neck of the woods you'd know that this is the biggest cluster of convenient stores until you hit either Cloverdale Mall at the 427 or the Kingsway strip! - The store round up begins with the ever so convenient 24/7 Shoppers Drug Mart complete with a post office. - Next we have Starbucks and if you prefer a more Cannock roast Timmies is three doors down from the plaza. - A super friendly BMO is added to the mix. - Recently a Bulk Barn has come in to replace the now defunct Blockbuster. - A tasty hidden gem bakery - A superb fruit and veggie market - Hidden around the corner is both a pet store and a Dominos Pizza.
