The school's administrator, Mindy Thom, truly exemplifies Christlike care in everything she does. Her genuine love for children, passion for education, and dedication to nurturing each student's spiritual and emotional growth are evident every day. Our three children have been so blessed by their teachers--Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. A, and Mrs. Demata. These educators go above and beyond to create a loving, supportive, and enriching environment for their students. They prioritize our children's well-being and development with such grace and care, avoiding harsh discipline while fostering respect, responsibility, and compassion. We've attended other schools in the area, and while there are many wonderful Christian institutions, Summit Christian Academy feels like home. It's a place where we truly feel called to be--a community that partners with us in raising our children to know and love the Lord. If you're seeking a school that not only provides excellent academics but also nurtures children spiritually and emotionally with genuine care, Summit Christian Academy is the place to be.

She sustained a concussion and has since experienced trauma-related symptoms. While we hoped for concern and a collaborative path toward resolution, the school leadership instead chose to expel all three of our children after we asked for answers and safety improvements. This happened without warning, without a clear explanation, and without allowing our children to say goodbye to friends or participate in school events they had prepared for. We are heartbroken by how the situation was handled--not just the incident itself, but the school's response. We believe families deserve to know how serious matters are addressed when concerns are raised. Our experience may not reflect everyone's, but it was deeply impactful for our family. We share this review in the hope that it brings awareness and prompts reflection for others considering the school.

Cassie and her staff are incredible- not only do they keep you up to date on how your child is adjusting, they actually take the time to learn your child's personality and bond with them. They do art projects with the children and I can honestly say now that our son is with children his own age, he has learned so many new skills. I can't say enough positive things about Cassie and her team!

I have been nothing but impressed with CDA Learning center. My daughter has started to talk more, explore, and has displayed more confidence since starting here. The teachers and Cassie genuinely care about the children. They are actively engaged in their positive development- my daughter has had more arts and craft activities in a single week at CDA learning center- then in the total six months with TWO OTHER daycares! They get a lot of playtime outside as well! My daughter has been following direction more at home too! When I drop her off- the teachers are genuinely happy to see her- and she is so happy there as well!!

Dear Sarah, In response to your email correspondence of…read moreApril 29, 2021, I never received a copy of the enrollment agreement that you referenced. Again, my three year old son Aaron attended your school for 2 and 1/2 days. I picked him up at 12:00 pm on the third day because he was so distraught when I left him. However, I came back to the school the following day and spoke to you in person. During our conversation, I told you that the school was not going to work out for him. You said no problem, we will provide you a refund. I have three witnesses that I returned to the school the following day and spoke to you: LaDonna Douglass, Melissa Edgington and Michelle Bartz. At no time during our meeting did you say to me that I should provide written notice of his departure. Further, as a result of our meeting, you knew Aaron was not going to return. You therefore had notice and could fill the space. In fact, you had not adequately input his information into your computer system, so I couldn't follow everything I was told I could on my smart phone. We had constant communication through you or your staff from the first day to the last day Aaron attended your school. The first day Aaron attended your school, a wonderful woman named Chelsea helped Aaron adjust. The next day I brought Aaron and Chelsea was no longer available. The teacher named Mandy had returned (she had been sick for three weeks) and did not invite Aaron into the group or help him get acquainted. She simply ignored him while she did a group exercise with the other children. She could have welcomed him into the group. In fact, you admitted to me (evidencing our second in person meeting) that she left early that day, she was still sick. You further told me he had been transferred to an older class, with Ms. Jenna. In this older class, he was away from Abel (who was the child he knew and the reason we started your school), because you thought it would be a better fit. But by then he was completely soured on your school based on the way he was treated. You said your school was conducted like a preschool, all the teachers were experienced and accredited. From what I saw, most of the teachers were in the early twenties and basically babysitters, not preschool teachers. Aaron had a wonderful experience at the last school he attended in California, Westside Waldorf. Sadly, it was closed because of Covid. I paid you $200 as a registration fee, and $915.00 for a full months' tuition. It is undisputed that Aaron attended your school a total of two and a half days. To settle this matter, I am willing to forego the $200.00 registration fee, if you return the $915.00 tuition. This is an offer of settlement. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Sheri Handel Beck
