I thought, ok no big deal but when I opened the practice test, it was math that I haven't used since highschool 15 years ago. Keep in mind, I am an accountant of 5 years and just wanted a career change, so understanding math is not an issue. Sure, I tried to study and refresh my memory on what was to be on this test but with 2 weeks until the first day of this course, currently going through clinicals for my CNA certification, working full time and being a single mother, there is no way. I called Cal regionals office to see what would happen if I did not do well on this test and was informed that I would not be able to continue with the course. I will definitely be letting my 19 other classmates in my CNA class know to stay away from this place. Additionally, there is a $300 non-refundable deposit which in the beginning was not a problem but it definitely burns knowing I am not getting that back due to some false advertisement. The CPR class was fun and interesting. Kim has a lot of knowledge seeing she's been a nurse for over fifteen years. She embeds her experience with common knowledge that others overlook when conducting CPR and AED. We also received ample amount of time practicing on dummies. She is organized, clean, and funny. I highly recommend taking her classes. My advice would be to study and know your rhythms, meds, and scenarios. She helps when needed but expects you to know and be able to assess your own things. She takes her time to make sure you understand everything and will pass.
