You can take BLS for healthcare providers, ACLS, PALS first aid, and cpr classes at this place…read more The instructor was really nice and educated. The classrooms are very small can hold up to six students. The BLS classes only cost $45, and the book cost $12. You need the book, but we didn't really use it that much. We mainly focused on the video, practiced on mannequins, and hands-on learning. Sabo one place center also has: *Primerica *RCCG Dayspring Chapel *Texas Healthcare Training Center *Houston Electrolysis *Diamond Graphics & Printing *Walker Law Offices *Baseball Best Tournament *The Red Experience Invitations & Floral *Icon Home Health You must pay for your CPR class online.

I write this review not only as an experienced nurse who has taken multiple American Heart…read moreAssociation BLS, PALS, and ACLS courses over the past 6+ years, but who also worked for 5 years as a certified AHA BLS instructor. I can easily say that this was the most ineffective, unprofessional course I have ever taken. The company lures students in with low prices and daily course offerings, but I would not recommend them to anyone. Upon arrival, a woman at the front desk placed me in a room, turned the 2ish hour PALS AHA video on, and walked away. She did not engage, practice, or discuss case studies with me whatsoever. Halfway through, she handed me the written test to be filled out while the video was still running. At the end, another employee conducted a short skills session with me. While she was kind and eager, as a non-medical professional she had very limited knowledge of the material beyond what she had memorized. The most disappointing and frustrating part of the day was the fact that despite a sign on the door (and a Texas State mandate) that masks are required in shared spaces indoors, neither employee was wearing a mask, and did not enforce the policy to a group of students in the lobby. When I requested that the employees wear a mask while conducting my practical exam, I was met with attitude and resistance. It was incredibly unprofessional, especially in an office/classroom dedicated evidence-based medical education.

My coworkers and I took the CPR and AED class instructed by Heather Smart…read more Heather is very knowledgeable. She prefers to do hands on instruction verses reading booklets and watching videos. The hands on approach is more realistic and gives a better idea of what may happen when CPR and AED skills are needed in an emergency situation. Heather is very passionate about her class and training. After the verbal lesson, we were put into groups of 4 with a dummy to have the hands on experience. The "smart" dummies are equipped with lights to let you know if the compression strength you are using is strong enough. A green light indicates you are doing it correctly. A red or yellow light means you need to use more force. We also used an infant dummy to see the difference between adults and children as the compression strength needed is a lot less and with fingers instead of 2 full hands. It was a little embarrassing to act out a real life situation at first. Not everyone is comfortable acting out a scenario in front of others. As a good instructor should do, Heather was addiment we would not be given a passing grade until she saw each of us perform the series of steps necessary to complete CPA and AED properly. We each took turns and she watched to make sure we did it correctly. After one round, the embarrassment went away and we all started getting into it. I appreciate Heather's approach and dedication to the class. She even got on the floor (see picture) with us to demonstrate the steps herself before turning it over to us. At the end of our 3 hour class, we were given a survey. I gave Heather a 10 (extremely satisfied) on all questions asked. We all left feeling confident and well educated. Hopefully our assistance won't be needed, but should and emergency arise in the future, I am happy we have our certification to help save lives. Our group plans to have Heather back in a few months to take a first aid course.

I wish I can rate this company with a zero star. The lady canceled my course at the last minute…read morebecause I was the only student enrolled that day. When I said " I cannot wait because my BLS card is expired" . She said that the "system doesn't work, I will let you know if I can fix it" which was her excuse for being UNPROFESSIONAL . Of course, I immediately looked for another option since I didn't have another day to wait to have this done. I found a really great company around the kingwood-humble area. I requested my money back from Heather and she totally refused to do so. So I ended up paying double for my BLS course. The other company I found was a professional company and I actually enjoyed the training. In fact, I was the only student and they didn't mind teaching me. After taking the BLS course with another company I realized that Smart Safe Development Solutions are no good for learning. btw the place where they hold the training is awful and uncomfortable. ( this was the only place I knew) but in fact there are great places out there for the same money! Look for other options!
