So we were lucky enough to have Michelle as our mortgage consultant and I'll tell you right now that we could not have been more satisfied. My wife and I are older now and really dont know anything about this stuff, so we had to take a shot and put our trust in someone. After talking to several companies I decided that Michelle sounded the most trustworthy and thank god I was right. Was something about the way she carried herself over the phone. Too keep this short. I'll say she held our hands throughout the entire process and made sure we would understand everything. She got us exactly the rate we were hoping for which saved us almost $200.00a month. On what was a $750.00 a month mortgage I'd say that's pretty amazing. So, In closing , all I can say is that you will absolutely not find a better and more honest person to go through. Smart Mortgage should damn well be proud to have an agent like her working for them. And to us , that makes Smart Mortgage the only way to go , especially if your older like us and need someone you can trust. Thank You Michelle, Your the Best Bruce and Barb Baxter read more

My wife and I have worked with Brian N. at Smart Mortgage Centers on several purchases as well as refinances over the past few years. Brian once again made the process of our recent refi effortless. He got us locked in at a lower rate on a shorter term and we couldn't be happier. We will continue to recommend Brian N. and SMC to family, friends, and colleagues. read more

called for rates and they told me they would need all my personal information and to run a hard credit check (damaging to credit) before they can tell me any details on current general interest rates. I have purchased, refinanced in multiple states. I have dealt with DOZENS of mortgage lenders/brokers and this is the FIRST TIME someone has bold faced lied to me out of sheer laziness in order to provide me any assistance or information. GO elsewhere to find a mortgage lender. This initial conversation is indicative of their lack of customer service and trust for a major financial and business decision. read more

We highly recommend Ryan Klaic from Smart Mortgage Centers. He put together an attractive mortgage package for our $1.4M home purchase in Hinsdale, IL, while also helping us to navigate a process that was particularly challenging because I was relocating my family across the country and switching jobs (which lenders categorically hate). Ryan is deeply knowledgeable about lenders' underwriting standards and the mortgage process, through having done this work for 13+ years. He guided us adeptly through a complex roster of actions and considerations that needed to be taken in order to achieve a successful mortgage outcome. In addition to being highly competent, Ryan is responsive, hard-working, and well-connected in the lending industry. We also felt that he put our interests first throughout the process. Above all, Ryan is a true professional. read more

This was my first home purchase, and working with Ryan at SmartMortgage made the process very straightforward and painless. He was very knowledgeable on interest rates and was able to negotiate our PMI down and get us a good deal. He was always responsive to my emails and phone calls, and we didn't have any problems with delays or financing thanks to his expertise. He definitely presented a lot more options than the bank did, I'm really glad I went with a great broker rather than the traditional bank route. I would definitely work with Ryan again! read more

Tony McDougall is great...from the beginning he knew that I had bad credit and that I had already been promised false hopes with other companies. I advised him that I wanted the truth and did not want to waste his time or mine. He gave me exactly that, he reviewed my situation advised me of the type of loan I would qualify for and the terms/expectations based of my credit score and there were no surprises through out the entire process. I will be reaching out to him in the next few months for my next steps. Thank you Tony and Smart Mortgage. read more

"I've got a guy!" I can say this for mechanics, painters, plumbers and all sorts of things. Now I can add a mortgage broker to that list! Ryan Klaic was phenomenal! Not only was he responsive, he made sure you fully understood every step of the way. He made me feel comfortable being that this was my first time refinancing. He truly works for the client and helps you through the process. He made the process stress and worry free. I highly recommend Ryan with Smart Mortgage. You will not be disappointed. read more

Ryan from Smart Mortgage Centers went ABOVE and BEYOND for my husband and I!! It was our first time buying a home and with the support of someone as diligent as Ryan, it felt easy. He's still friendly and nice. I knew nothing about this process and he never made me feel bad about it. Instead he taught me everything and gave me confidence. I was approved within 20 min and in a new home within 45 days!!! My husband and I are ecstatic. Ryan thank you for making this process so less stressful and being so patient with us. We absolutely love our new home. read more

Smart Mortgage was a LIFESAVER for me! I went from loan company to loan company in search of a refinance home (today's rates are much lower than they were when I purchased my condo of course!) and I was linked with this company. From the jump, Sr. Mortgage Consultant, Anthony "Tony" McDougall was readily available whenever I needed him, for questions, concerns, etc. Tony went above and beyond to make sure that my refinance headed to closing as smoothly and quickly as possible. In my case, I am in Los Angeles and despite the time difference, Tony was always there. I would highly recommend this company for your loan/financing needs! :) read more

We had nothing but a positive experience with Ryan Klaic and Smart Mortgage. Ryan went above and beyond to get our mortgage through in 4 weeks and to find us the best rate possible with the lowest fees. He really lived up to his favorite saying of "Under promise and over deliver". Ryan was always available for a question or advise and we were able to do all the paperwork in our home and on our schedule. read more

I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Brian Noe. He helped me lock in a rate on a refinance a few years ago. The rate he got for me was significantly less than what other lenders were quoting. Additionally, I asked for his help on another mortgage on my rental property. He was able to work quickly to lock in a great rate and get it to underwriting. I ended up not needing to move forward for personal reasons, but Brian was still a great help along the whole process. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great mortgage rate!!! read more

This place is top notch. Honestly. I was referred to Brian Noe from a friend from work and I can not explain how good he is. He's hard working, persistent and thorough. Talk about being an expert at your profession. I would recommend this place due to my experience with Brian. I've never experienced better customer service than this place. If and when you're buying a home, this is the place to go. I'd give more stars if I could. read more

The team at Smart Mortgage Centers did an excellent job on our loan and they were very responsive to all our concerns and questions. We had an unusual situation arise that added some complication to our refinance process and the Smart Mortgage team really went to bat for us in helping to get it resolved. They always very promptly responded to us either via email or phone and I always felt that they were more than willing to work with and help us any way they could. Our loan was successfully closed and I know they worked very hard to ensure that everything went smoothly. I received a text message at 8pm on a Sunday evening from a Smart Mortgage Loan Consultant. She said that the loan officer I've worked with for several years asked her to reach out to me and asked if I had time to talk or text about trying to lower my rate. I was very skeptical receiving this text for a few reasons. First, I think it's against the "Do Not Call" rules to contact me on a Sunday and second, I had just talked with my loan officer to inquire about my loan and found out he was no longer with Smart Mortgage. I then learned that the person that contacted me "conventiently" omitted the last name of the loan officer in a sneaky attempt to get me to call. This type of deceit, game playing and underhanded way of doing business is not for me. When I wrote a review on google, I got a reply from Smart Mortgage that only said it would be turned over to legal and made assumptions that were not true. Smart Mortgage is not to be trusted as they are not what I consider to be an honest or ethical company. Feel free to search google reviews for additional details. Stay clear of this place!!! read more

When shopping around for a mortgage I was not able to find a better rate with lower fees outside of Smart Mortgage. Thomas Salsman was very professional. He worked around my schedule to meet with me outside of normal business hours. He was able to secure a loan for my purchase and help me close in about 30 days. read more

Brian was so helpful in telling me exactly what I needed to get the ball rolling on getting a mortgage. I'm a first time home buyer and he was very honest in telling me what to expect and letting me know all of my options. Would definitely use again! read more

We refinanced through Smart Mortgage and were very pleased with Ryan's service. He worked hard to find the best options and explained all available loan types to ensure we picked one that was our best fit. Ryan was in touch regularly through the process, and his personal touch and great communication make Smart Mortgage a company I highly recommend for anyone in the market. read more

I can't say enough about Brian Noe at Smart Mortgage. He's the top producer in his office and it's easy to see why. I was highly impressed and would not hesitate to recommend him to my family, colleagues or friends. He is on the ball 24/7, work ethic second to none, extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, highly communicative, fast service, and I received excellent loan terms. My loan request was also extremely complex and involved a lot of knowhow, work and patience. He navigated unprecedented waters like a champ that even my attorney was impressed and wanted to use him on other complex loan transactions in different states throughout the country. Brian tackled everything in his path head on, stayed the course and made it happen. I'm very lucky to have worked with this individual. read more

Patty Harrison from Smart Mortgage Centers really turned our dream into a reality. Before Patty, we struggled with a different mortgage company who basically gave us the run around and dodged our calls. The person at the previous company told us we needed to wait months to get a pre-approval and until our credit was a little higher she couldn't help us. We lost all hope until we decided to post a question on Zillow and Patty replied almost immediately. The next day we were pre-approved and ready to start house hunting. We found the house of our dreams and the process was close to seamless. Patty was always responsive and we never felt judged, it was our first time buying so we had MANY questions. We couldn't have asked for a better home buying experience. When the time for closing came, we had heard a few horror stories but our experience was once again seamless and in 2 hours, we were out. We were lucky to have found Patty- we will for sure send all of our friends and family her way. For any veterans out there this is the person you want on your side! read more
