So we were lucky enough to have Michelle as our mortgage consultant and I'll tell you right now that we could not have been more satisfied. My wife and I are older now and really dont know anything about this stuff, so we had to take a shot and put our trust in someone. After talking to several companies I decided that Michelle sounded the most trustworthy and thank god I was right. Was something about the way she carried herself over the phone. Too keep this short. I received a text message at 8pm on a Sunday evening from a Smart Mortgage Loan Consultant. She said that the loan officer I've worked with for several years asked her to reach out to me and asked if I had time to talk or text about trying to lower my rate. I was very skeptical receiving this text for a few reasons. First, I think it's against the "Do Not Call" rules to contact me on a Sunday and second, I had just talked with my loan officer to inquire about my loan and found out he was no longer with Smart Mortgage. I then learned that the person that contacted me "conventiently" omitted the last name of the loan officer in a sneaky attempt to get me to call. This type of deceit, game playing and underhanded way of doing business is not for me. When I wrote a review on google, I got a reply from Smart Mortgage that only said it would be turned over to legal and made assumptions that were not true. Smart Mortgage is not to be trusted as they are not what I consider to be an honest or ethical company. Feel free to search google reviews for additional details.
