I had been to my old dentist twice already because of pain on one side of my mouth. He took x-rays and examined me both times, but could never find anything. So I mentioned the pain to Dr. Wert. It took him five minutes to see what was wrong. He gently tapped on a couple of teeth--no pain--and then when he tapped on the third one it was clear he'd found the source of the pain. I had a crown on that tooth, and Dr. Wirt told me there was infection under the crown. He would have to remove it and clear out the infection. I was so relieved to know what was causing the pain, and that it could be fixed. I'm so glad he opened an office in Hellertown. Oh, and the office staff was very pleasant and helpful too.

This place was recommended to me by a family member who also said the front desk person was rude but everyone else was pleasant in the facility. Not a place that I want to spend my money AT ALL. Luckily my first shot a dentist was Doctor Chiusano. Not only was I impressed with the cleanliness and modern office, but I found a dentist who cares about his patients. Dr. C takes the time to explain everything he's doing and any concerns he has. His staff, from the front desk to the hygienist are very warm and friendly. Not only have I found the dentist I plan to use for the next 30 years, but I found an office that I do not dread visiting. I'm never kept waiting to see the doc, and when I sit in the chair people are attentive and on top of my comfort, questions, and most importantly, the health of my smile. I will also add, having televisions in the exam rooms makes going to the dentist a much more enjoyable experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. C to anybody in the Poconos. We are certainly lucky to have such a talented and caring dentist right here in our small corner of PA.

Moreover, I had joined the savings plan. However, when I was presented with the bill, and I said that I was under the impression that x-rays, etc., were free, I was told that they are 20% off. Online, the plan clearly states that the x-rays and exam are free. Of course, the bill was not itemized. There was also a charge on my bill for work that the doctor said might have to be done in the future!!! This brought the bill up to $4500.00. I quickly stated that I was not having that work done at present, so Natalie deducted it. However, my bill was still a whopping $1600.00 dollars. That was for the exam, x-rays. cleaning, and 2 fillings. As a retired widow on a fixed income, I must say that such a fee is difficult to manage, but I paid the entire balance, rather than have to pay interest over the course of the next few months. Frankly, I would have walked out if I had not lost a filling from a front tooth. There also seemed to be a great deal of confusion. There was only one dentist on my first visit, so I could not have my filling replaced. I was given two appointments for the following day: 9AM cleaning, and 10AM fillings. When the hygienist completed the cleaning, she said, "I see that your fillings will be done at 11. I quickly protested, and that problem was rectified. When I met with the dentist, who obviously had not even glanced at my health history, she asked the same questions I had been asked the day before. She asked if I had any allergies, and if I take any medication and have any health problems. When I answered "no" to the two latter questions, she just stared at me. I repeated my answer, and she continued to stare, and said "Not even blood pressure?" I told her that I am very healthy and take excellent care of myself. Finally, when she was about to start working on me, she stated that the tooth minus the filling wasn't even listed under the work she was supposed to do!!! I said that that tooth was the reason for my visit! It seems that the dental assistant had recorded the wrong tooth!!! When all was done, she just walked out, and rushed to the next patient. I could mention more, but I am sure you can see why I will not be recommending Aspen Dental to my friends -- maybe my enemies!

She went today for the first visit and apparently the dentist decided to just get them both taken care of at the same time. When his assistant brought my daughter out to the waiting room she said "just keep an eye on her if she eats because her face is still numb". No word about having both filled. My daughter told me she felt that they filled both sides. My daughter said the dentist mentioned she would need a root canal. No one mentioned any of this to me. I have been going to this practice for a few years and always felt comfortable and informed. Today was not handled appropriately and I will be looking for a new practice moving forward.

Due to recessed gums, I needed resin to be placed to fill in the space on two teeth. He filled them in and the color didn't even match my teeth. Thank God the teeth were on the side of my mouth so you really can't see them. Each tooth is now two different colors. With that, he didn't even smooth the resin. He just put the clumps of resin on the teeth and sent me on my way. I had to go to my new dentist and have them smooth it out for me. I heard that some dentists are cheap so they only buy a couple of shades of the resin and they use the one closest to your tooth color. I think all he cares about is making money. Definitely does not care about patients.

A Five-Star Oral Surgeon…read more Whoever heard of a person looking forward to a tooth extraction? I was referred to Dr. Chaudhry's practice by my regular dentist, Dr. Kenneth Chiusano, for the extraction of my #2 tooth (way in the back of my mouth.) Needless to say, being referred to an oral surgeon is nerve-racking enough but what I experienced at the initial consult and then finally the extraction, warrants a review of very high praise. Firstly, the entire staff is beyond professional and personable. They take the necessary time to explain everything to you in a professional and caring manner so there are no surprises, financially or otherwise. The day of the extraction arrived and I found myself feeling very comfortable and confident about the procedure. You could actually say I was looking forward to returning to Dr. Chaudhry's office to see him and his staff again. The staff and medical assistants were equally wonderful. The procedure was quick and over before I knew it and it turned out I had nothing to worry about at all. Dr. Chaudhry's experience, coupled with his gentleness and genuine care, are also equally noteworthy. My recovery was easier than I imagined and the doctor even called me personally that evening after I left a message for him after the practice had closed when I needed to ask a question. If you're looking for an oral surgeon and live in the Poconos, I suggest you look no further because you have found the right doctor for the job. You won't regret it. A huge shout out to these consummate professionals -- Dr. Chaudhry, and his office manager, Destiny, and colleagues Tiffany, Amanda, Christine, Tasha, Asha, Kristine and Ally.
