Smart & Final Extra! is seriously one of my favorite one stop shops. They have a great selection of items, from everyday groceries to bulk options, party supplies, cleaning products, and even fresh produce and meats. Whether I'm shopping for my family or grabbing items for meal prep and catering, I can usually get everything I need in one trip. The sales are always worth checking out. I love walking in and seeing end caps stocked with real deals, not just "sale" signs with barely any difference. If you pay attention to their weekly specials, you can save a good amount. This location was clean, fully stocked, and organized. The aisles weren't cluttered, shelves were faced nicely, and I didn't have to hunt down items. It makes a difference when a store feels maintained and managed well. The checkout process was smooth and efficient too. I get 25$ off 75$ spent, but this weekend I was in vegas. I cant waste such a great deal so I found this smart and final extra! Its not too big, but its easy to find things. The workers here are nice and helpful. The cashiers seem to know what they're doing. The bacon was on sale. And the aisles were organized. Its not very busy at smart and final so it doesn't feel hectic and stressful. Its easy and a chill atmosphere and not annoying at all bc there's never a line. read more

I come here every week. The prices here are often better then Costco and it's much more friendly feeling then Walmart. I'm always looking for the half off dealers and when you get the app they offer something "free" every week, though often when I go on the last day they have run out. Smart & Final is underrated. I used it when I was a restaurateur in a pinch. In need lids for 2 oz. cups - something random and restaurant-y in a rush. After that, I'd go only for garbage bags. So, once a year? The large blue First St. bags are the best garbage bags ever. Only available at S&F. For my sweetheart, Smart & Final is a go-to and I am finally getting hip to it. I needed bleach. Walmart would have been a whole thing. S&F, in/out/done. No parking drama. No going a mile to find my item. Yesterday, we were gathering ingredients to make sauce for 10 people. Onions were mega cheap. Half gallon of cream, yes. Right down the list, check, check, check. We only gad to make one substitution. Link sausage instead of bulk. Softdrinks: good sale and fully stored. The prices are a few pennies higher on some things, but the convenience is worth it. Also, it feels less grubby than a Smith's. read more

I feel I was robbed, I was purchasing 3 packs of the part double pack tortilla chips. I noticed that there was 2 different price tags for the same item, I asked an attendant what was the difference, she pulled one of the tags off and there was a third tag with a different price, she proceeded to find out which one was the correct price. Comes back and of course it's the highest price. She told me I was going to get the lesser price, I told the girl at the register and she said ok, well I got charged the higher price. When I got to my car and put the items in the trunk I checked the receipt and noticed I got over charged, I went back and told the girl at the register and she said well that's what came up on the register, I asked her did I not tell you what I was told was the price and you said ok. It might sound petty, but that's how you get robbed, we don't check the receipt and once you leave it's too late. People please check your items and receipt before you leave the store, after it's hard to get your money back. read more

Ambience This location is Smart & Final Extra which is larger with more products than regular S&F. It is as big as Smith's with high ceiling. Well lit, airconditioned, and organized. Easy to get in and out, a pleasant shopping environment. Great selection of oversized items for businesses (restaurants, parties, events, etc). Just the alcohol section was a bit small. 2. Service The staff were friendly and efficient. Costco offers additional services such as a pharmacy, photo center, and gas station, while Smart & Final primarily focuses on retail sales. 3. Hygiene Products were not dusty and the floor was clean. 4. Price I used to go to Mexican groceries for vegetables and fruits since they are cheaper than Asian markets, but Smart & Final has better prices than Mexican's for some items. 5. Location It is next to Walmart in Chinatown. 6. Parking There is a plenty of parking. 7. The negative: Their overall service seems great but unfortunately towards the end of my trip I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a really grumpy and dismissive employee. Jazmin, the service manager, rang us up and was a total..."rude lady" for lack of a better term. So that alone prevents me from leaving a 5 star review. She was dismissive, rude and unprofessional. A little warmth and maybe a greeting next time. Maybe I caught her on a bad day. Who knows? The positive: Great store with fresh produce and meats. Prices are competitive and the aisles are well stocked making finding what you need very easy. You would expect a very cheap grocery store but in reality, being located next to Walmart and to compete with that, that expectations is unrealistic. They are more like a smiths knock off. I got some items that aren't at Walmart at very good price so it was worth a visit. read more

Havent been to Smart & Final in a few years. I love seeing this place was really neat and organized, I was simply amazed. The people who also worked here were courteous and friendly. The prices were reasonable too. Definitely coming back here to buy in bulk. Overall, nice environment and nice workers too. They really show how much they care for their store and their customers. The only thing i would like to see them improve on would be, as busy as the store was there wasnt enough people working the registers. read more

Impressed!!!! Have been in Herbally Grounded three times the past few days...and decided to run into here based off the cutie succulents outside. Game changer! As I walked in there is a whole (Smiths size) organic section!!!!!! Heaven! Yes this place carries a hot mess of dairy, meat, and GMO boxed food but since I eat fruits, vegetables and whole starches only...This place is a winner on prices for the stuff I buy!!!!!!! Wowza! Heirloom organics (can hardly get those at WF's), navel oranges organics, organic peaches, organic potatoes, organic roma, organic strawberries, organic blueberries....WOW! They even carry the organic baby rainbow carrots for snacks! A pound bag of large organic carrots is 69 cents?!?! I see carrot dogs in our future! I also took some photos of some vegan junk food to help others. This being soooo close to home and the cashier was ecstatic to tell me that if I juice they have a bulk bin of discount fruit and veggies that are a juicers dream!!! Note taken! I shall be back. From 2/10/15 Came here out of curiosity since I pass it each time when I am in the Charleston Plaza. This place has a good selection of food and wines, which look like they are of good quality. The prices in this store were decent; nothing was expensive in my opinion. I noticed this is a bulk items store as well, which is pretty convenient if you need a metric-ton of energy drinks or salt. This is actually for 4.5 stars. Stopped in last week to get some produce on sale, like strawberries for $1.99 for a pound, and a bag of cuties for $3.49. This one, located in the Wal-Mart shopping center, is much nicer than the Tropicana store; like a brighter, cleaner, shinier version- hence the edge in stars for my review. I came here for specific items (sale items) plus we had just shopped at Wal-Mart too. But not as much as the Tropicana location (convenient to my workplace and on the way home). The frozen selections (low fat meals) were slightly higher than Smith's pricing. Nice setup, clean store, few shoppers, and speedy checkout. read more

Beware at this store location!!! A few days before Christmas a card skimmer was used at this location at the checkout counter. All of our money was then depleted at other smart and finals in another state. A police report was made and we were told to advise the store and stay clear of this location. Thanks smart and final. First time I experienced I got yelled for not wearing mask. It was fine with me but please you dont have to yell or loud and ask me where is my mask and I need one. Its embarassing and I even heard someone says uhoh.... Its an honest mistakes I was rushing and I have something else in my mind. Maybe you can tell your employees to handle that situation nicely. I always forget how much I like this place! Lots of items that are bigger than the average store, but not so insane you can't fit them in your car like SAMs Club! This place has alcohol behind a locked display case. Not tons of choices, oddly most of personal favorites, though. The other day I found Ben and Jerry's New York Superfudge Chunk! My all time favorite flavor, it's been missing in action for a couple of years. I don't know if this is because they found a really old stash, or if they are on the cutting edge of new releases. I don't care. It's yummy, delicious, and no one else in my house eats chocolate, so slap my ass and call me Chunky Monkey, I'm thrilled! They have freezers with convenience foods, and paper products for parties or small businesses. They have a medicine section, no diet pills. (See previous paragraph) coffee and syrup and creamer. I am giving this review 1 star only because I was shocked and absolutely APPALLED when I went there yesterday. I had 3 items and didn't realize the line stretched to the back of the store! Everyone not even an arms length apart waiting with carts full and 2 cashiers! I left! This store was originally allowing only so many in at a time. Looks like the staff has been cut and that's not happening anymore. Why not an express lane for 10 items or less or the number of check outs to meet the needs of the crowds? That was verrrrry scary. I usually only come here for office/cleaning supplies. Today I wanted to check out the eggs since my boyfriend and I are doing keto we go through a lot of eggs. Found an excellent price for 105 eggs. Went to check out and I wasn't too pleased with Angie's customer service. I'm ok with having conversations with the employees but don't judge be for buying 105 eggs. Regardless of her comments I'll still continue to shop here and found a new place to buy eggs for a good price. I always thought this was a smaller version of Sam's Club or Costco, intended for vendors to buy wholesale. This is located in the WalMart shopping center and on the 2 occassions I went there nothing was cheap. The stuff I was looking for cost more than going across the parking lot to Walmart and buying the same stuff in smaller quantities. Its a very small store which looks alot like Sams Club inside without having to be a member or whatever. They have wide aisles and cart at the ready but they just dont have much for less. read more

This store is a best kept secret in the shadow of WalMart. Shopping at WalMart was such a pain. Checkout lines were always long, and you had to park so far from the store. I discovered Smart and Final a few months ago and have not been back to WalMart. Plenty of fresh (and organic) produce. Easy store layout. Despite being a smaller store, I have no problem finding everything I need. (IE, I'm not running to another store for things they don't carry). Their First Street (generic) brand is of high quality and priced right. Overall, their prices are low. They have turned me into a fan. read more

If it wasn't for one VERY RUDE employee, this would have been a 5 star. I got in the regular line since I had more than 10 items. The cashier was away, but I started unloading items. She came and immediately took 2 people..... who were in line behind me.... ahead of me. When I looked at her questioningly since I was first in line, she told me, "Just keep unloading ma'am, they have less items." She didn't ask if I was okay with being cut in line, didn't ask if I had time.... which I didn't..... and I was in the regular line, not the express isle. I would have been okay with it if she had asked. I also already had half my items out on the register line. I told her my situation, I needed to get home to take care of a very ill family member, and I thought it was rude to just assume it was okay to ignore my time. In her defense, she did apologize, but only after checking the 2 men out ahead of me. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. I take care of patients and family all day. I don't like that my time was of no importance to Smart and Final even though it's my and other customer's money that pays their bills. All the other employees were top notch, 5 stars. read more

Omg bought yesterday some beef stew meat to make. Today Oct 28, 2018 I opened it up and it smelled so bad. 2 of the packages were bubbled when I opened it up it left out a nasty fart sound and I just wanted to die. My kitchen smells so nasty, the smell was on my clothes to edger I needed to shower again. The smell went to the bedrooms. It's just all bad and gross. Watch the meat you get here. They recently remodeled this store and somehow managed to add in more items! It's like a grocery store, bulk store, and mom & pop supply shop. The employees were all super friendly and the store was really organized and clean. Make sure to double check your receipt , I was over charge and when I told the cashier she was very rude and told me I needed to get and line if I wanted a refund , then I talk to the assistant manager Thomas and he was even more rude and told me he was busy that if I didn't hear tell cashier when she told me to get in line , I always go to his store because is close to me house they are never very friendly , but this was the worst experience ever read more

Sometimes Costco is just not convenient or don't need the bulk packaging. Smart & Final offers similar items at very competitive pricing; and sometimes when I just need one large can or box of something it's great to know I can get it without having to store additional. Produce and dairy items are always fresh and have never purchased a store branded item that was poor quality (actually, sometimes their store brand is better than name brand!). My only suggestion would be to make staff more accessible for checkout; sometimes the lines are way too long and only one checker. The flip side of that is - don't go shopping when you're in a hurry! ;-) read more

On 12-28-15 at 2:30 Reyna rang up my groceries. She was not friendly at all, and as soon as I paid for my groceries I noticed she was ringing up the lady behind me and shoving her bags into mine on the counter. I asked Reyna 'don't you load the cart?' and she replied 'no, we don't load carts'. I told her that was strange, as every S&F in California, as well as the other one that I had been at in Las Vegas did. She didn't have a reply. I think this is a poor showing of customer service at this store (#350)! I guess they think shoving the next customer's purchases on the counter and mixing them up with my purchases is what they think customer service is all about. A smaller Costco. Smart and Final has pretty much everything you need. From utensils to fruit to cereal, drinks, and cooking supplies. Not everything is in bulk, but its a lot cheaper then Costco. My favorite item they carry is the Ms. Mays nutty mix! So good and its gluten free! I love the Smart and Final on Charleston. The staff is so friendly and are always helping me out. I shop at Smart and Final for the work crafty and we are filling up two carts sometimes. They know who we are, what we do and they let us take over the store half the time. Always are willing to help us shop and load the cart! The store is extremely clean, always well stocked. I always sneak in buying a few of my own personal items, like celery, which is usually under a dollar for a stalk and the cucumbers which are usually under $.50 a piece.
