We used to love the store, but there is a lot of expired food and the cashier Susan nonstop talking bashing about the store and employees. It's like good God can she go any slower because all she does is talk talk talk talk. This location was super far from me but they actually had more of a selection than other Smart and Finals, and have items in stock like the paddle skewers which other locations where clearly out of for months. I also noticed a few items where placed in wrong places as the prices and descriptions underneath didn't match the item. read more

One of the managers named JD I believe James helped us find everything and store looks great, well stocked, clean, fresh vegetables and fruits. Update 11/22/17- Surprisingly, I came here with no shopping plan. Just a jotted list of another entree I wanted to make for Thanksgiving, basic necessities and of course, some wine hehe. I had a budget and spent almost exactly that. Got 2 cents back! I'm getting really good at this budgeting, no I'm not. Cashiers were busy, they still haven't hired additional help, wait was not that long though. They were happily conversing with customers which was nice to see. Keep that up! Smart and Final is my store when I get the chance to prepare my menu for 1 or 2 weeks. I can buy small quantities or in bulk like Costco. I like that. This place used to be Food For Less before it became Smart and Final. I like this store better because I can buy in bulk and it's cleaner, more organized and employees are friendlier. Not as friendly as Smith's but it will do. When I first started shopping here (right when they opened), they lacked cashiers. It has somewhat improved but it could be better. They need more employees. It's not like Smith's where if they see you waiting in line, they rush to open another register. Still, I come here due to sale prices. When I compare advertisements between here and Smith's, Smart and Final is always cheaper. Now, they started a delivery this week. My delivery is processing as I type this review. Here are the details: 1. First delivery is free plus $20 off on your next order if you buy $35 or more. Promo code is SHOPSMARTANDFINAL. 2. I got charged $11.89 service charge. Their delivery service is through Instacart. Membership is $149 per year or $14.99 monthly. Now, I shop considerably, I have 4 boys (you guys know that already). My cart is always overflowing. I discussed the pricing with my husband and I think this will be beneficial for us. In terms of convenience and gas, since I have a small window of time. I'm a working mom and my husband works 80hrs a week. We are actually considering this. I can pick up my boys and just wait for my delivery to arrive while I'm cleaning. Then cook! 3. The prices they have on their advertisement is available online for delivery. Unlike Vons (which I've used several times), prices for delivery is higher. THIS is very important to me. I'm on a budget and if I can get it cheaper by going to the store myself, I'll do it. Although, I'm shopping on the last day of their advertised sale prices, so the items I wanted were mostly all gone. Tip: shop as soon as you are able when the circular arrives to get the best deals. 4. They have items when you buy 2 eligible items, you get $5 off. I'm not brand conscious, so I got to take advantage of this deal. Cha-Ching! 5. They charge your card more than what your total is, so there's room for adjustments. In my case, they charged me $20 more than my total. I'll update here once my card has been processed. So that you know how long it takes. 6. I put my order in at 3:55pm. I got a text from my shopper 5mins later that he is working on my order. Unlike Vons, this is FAST! With Vons, you're lucky to get a deliver time for the next day. And, no text messages to communicate. You just select if you allow replacements for items that are not available. With Smart and Final, you are updated in realtime. You approve replacements as they shop. I even called my shopper. His name is Philip. Thank you Philip! 7. My delivery window time was 5-6pm, I was notified when they were on their way (picture attached). They arrived on the dot and within the time I had picked. Philip was friendly and professional. My groceries were placed on my kitchen counter and no items were missing or broken. With Vons, my eggs were smooshed or shampoo leaking. I was told to call customer service to get refunded which I did. Too much trouble, I'm too busy. 8. Lastly, I was told by Philip that the beginning of the month is very busy for the store due to EBT being distributed. As to why most of my sale items were already out of stock. So there's a tip for you. I'm not sure how EBT works but I guess they are distributed the first of the month. Tip your shopper! Overall: I'm liking this, for busy families, this is the way to go. I've picked up my kids, hubby is at an open house for one the boys and I'm able to do other things while I wait for my groceries. Ordered on the same day! One problem: I called Instacart regarding a coupon for hamburger buns that I could've gotten for $0.99 instead of $2.49. I got disconnected on the first call. I tried calling back and I got a busy signal. Fix this! I will forgo the savings this one time since this is a new service. Kinks and all but you need to be available when customers call. Especially when your site says open 24/7. read more

Terrible customer service. The cashiers are unfriendly and discriminatory towards female customers. They're extremely slow and take up a lot of time flirting with the male clientele while completely ignoring the female customers. They didn't even say hi when we walked in the store. The store had a lot of overpriced items. The flowers and plants were wilting and past their prime (probably because the store was so hot inside) Terrible attitude and scowl from the middle-aged white woman cashier. This was a different Smart&Final for me. I was expecting what I have seen in WA state. I was hoping for more large sections of meet for grilling so was a bit disappointed. Every now and then, I will stop by this Smart and Final Extra (a former Food4Less) location which happens to be the newest and largest such store in the Las Vegas area. The produce section is nice and colorful with a large variety of good quality fruits and vegetables at an attractive price. Baked goods in general are not a good item to purchase here. There are much better locations in the Las Vegas Valley for fresh baked breads and cakes such as most any Smith's supermarket. Frozen food items, especially in the larger sizes, are always a worthwhile purchase at Smart and Final. Beer and a smaller wine and liquor section are also available here. One item definitely worth purchasing is the absolutely humongous whole roasted chicken which is at least twice the size of what is usually offered at other supermarket delis for about the same price. read more

There were puddles of water on the checkout conveyor. I waited for the cashier to advance the belt so I could lay my groceries on a dry spot. "That's just water," she said, moving the belt. "I don't want to get my groceries wet." She shrugged and went about her business. The cashier probably doesn't understand that this location competes with a Walmart supercenter a short distance up Lake Mead Blvd. Sloppy service like this is gonna drive customers away. They'll be happy to go up the street and pay less. A customer-minded employee would have wiped up the mess without me calling attention to it. I would have done it myself but there weren't any paper towels handy. Believe it or not, thoughtfulness and attention to detail are important to some people. I wanted to give this store one star, but let's hope this employee is the exception not the rule. She's probably a former Food4Less employee and needs to be schooled how to work for a real business. This store occupies a former filthy rundown Food4Less. Smart & Final did a good job cleaning it up. The shopping carts are new. Produce and merchandise are attractively displayed. It's a bit chilly but that's way better than having the heat cranked up like most stores. Smart & Final has 10 oz. bags of Dole baby spinach (nonorganic) for $3.49. I like Trader Joe's organic baby spinach at $1.99 for a 6 oz.bag. I'm a fan of Campbell's Chunky soup. It was on sale for $2 a can, still more than Walmart and Walmart has a bigger selection. Smart & Final has Bragg organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. They have Olive Garden low cal Italian dressing. Only 30 calories for 2 Tbs for those on the "fast" diet. read more

It seems like random acts of kindness have become few and far between but today I was overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of one of the employees named Leo. Thanks to him I was able to get back my cell phone that I left in one of the aisles. I was convinced that it was long gone but Leo's honesty was the exception to the rule. This location is in an older shopping center but the interior of the store is clean and well kept. The customer service is consistently pleasant and they usually open at least one more register if a line starts to form. They offer quite a bit of brand names that I like and then there is the "store brand" items which are just as good in my opinion. Paper and plastic products are a great value; especially plates, bowls, cups, plasticware and similar items. They offer pretty much most of what I'm looking for and sometimes in bulk. A couple of items that I have a difficult time finding at chain grocery stores that I find here are: Rice milk (in the refrigerated section) and San Pellegrino in about three different flavors that I actually want. There are occasional clearance items by the register, as well as clearance after holidays/seasons. I wish there was a location farther West, near Summerlin. I like the fact that I don't have to pay for a membership, but I do have access to items that are offered in bulk like the 'warehouse' stores. When asked at the register if I found everything I was looking for, I told the lady I could not find Rice Milk in the refrigerated section. She was closing her register after me as it was the end of her shift. She could have just told me they were probably out of stock and left it at that. But, once she was done checking out my order, she went all the way to the back of the store then walked back to the check stand to inform me that they were in fact out of stock. She then gave me a raincheck; as it was on sale at that time. I appreciated that and I did return in a couple of days to get the rice milk. That's really good customer service! read more

But Desiree an employee there was rude and just complaining about how she's been working all day and that it was BS that she has to be there all day .
