This morning I experienced Smart and Finals "senior" morning shopping. This was my first time to shop in three weeks and I was shocked at how they handled the shoppers. First, they had no hand sanitizer wipes for the carts, they let the senior population go in and then they open the doors for everyone else at the same time, numerous shelves were empty and there were no paper products, and then they have one line for everyone to get to the registers and people are all in the same line less than 3 feet apart. If stores are going to have "senior" hours it should be only for those persons before allowing the general public to enter or only allow X amount of people in at a time, when someone exits them another person is allowed in. That would prevent crowding on the isles and lines. Just a thought. read more

I love the prices and selection, but sizes can be a bit large driving cost up. For the most part it is an easy costco competitor and they are easy enough to get into and out of. I love the selection and they make partiers easier on the budget. I admit the produce is limited and the booze as well, but if you want great prices defiantly give them a shot. The meat prices also are unbeatable. I always want to come here more but then I remember it is an additional stop cause they don't have everything I need. Its sort of a great once a month spot for sure. I like this particular one cause they are in a small off the freeway location that seems to be a secret to most folks. Plus the dollar tree next door is always great for a few odds and ends at unbeatable prices. read more

Me and my friends were stoping by this smart and final to pick up our booze for our weekend trip to San Diego. Once we got all our stuff to the cashier, they wouldn't allow us to buy to alcohol because our ID's were out of state. HOW RIDICULOUS. Never have come across this shit. Like alright bullshit. I discovered this store location when the Costco next door suggested I try here for an item they didn't carry. It's a typical Smart and Final. They don't carry organic foods but it's good for other items that you can't find at Costco. The cashier and bagger were friendly. The only downside is they had only one checkout counter open. read more

This store is ok I guess. I usually only go to it if I need something last minute or just 1or 2 things. They never have enough checkers to ring people out, therefore there are always long lines, and starting April 1st they charge 10 cents a bag for your groceries. (Which I know they aren't the only ones starting this) very basic store, no meat department, no bakery. The people are friendly though, so that's a plus. read more

One start because you have to rate it something. Worst customer service ever! If you would like to feel discriminated for being a Hispanic millennial go to Claire's lane at the express check out. I came in at 8:00 pm Friday, September 6th to buy beer with my sister. My sister and I paid separately. We both had our IDs out ready before Claire asked us for them. Claire rang out my sister first, when my sister gave her her ID Claire looked at it and at my sister for a really long time then asked "Are you sure this is you?" My sister said "Yes" then she finished checking her out. When I gave her my ID she did the same thing, look at me and the ID for a really long time then said "Are you sure this is you" I looked at her and said "Yes" confused as to why she's questioning me as well. Not even Boarder Patrol questions my identity when I cross the US board as much as Claire did that night. She said no I don't think so, I showed her my health insurance card, debit cards, credit cards, all with the same information on them and she said no I have to call my manager. He walked over, looked at it and asked me what my address was, I instantly responded "115 Ave" and he said okay it's her. Claire is an older Caucasian woman and her manager is a middle aged Hispanic man. If Claire would of actually looked at my ID she would of noticed the girl who paid before was my sister, we had the same last name and address not to mention we look a lot a like, I'm 23 and my sister is 25. I also mentioned this to my friend who swears by shopping at Smart and Final said Claire always gives her a hard time when she's buying alcohol and she already spoke to a manager there about her but it's still an on going issue so she avoids her at all cost. I always shop for my groceries there. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I don't have to wait in long lines to checkout because everyone is fast & efficient! On my most recent trip an associate named Rachel was very helpful in helping you find ingredients for a special dinner I was making. Love this place! read more

I came here to buy some snacks for the house, i spent about $75 and it was a good amount of groceries, after i paid the cashier asked where my reuseable bags were, and i told her i didn't have any with me.... and she said "we no longer provide plastic bags to customers as a way for the company to save money" I was pisses, i had to put everything back into my cart and take it all to the car, then when i got home had to go get some bags and then bring them in..... the good prices this store has dont make up for the lack of basic needs. read more

I was just in the store and the manager Michael was very disrespectful to some customers and not just them but to some of his employees, very sad to see that this great store is turning out bad management, I remember when a manager Glen was at this store it ran great and NO yelling at customers, he was always saying hello and have a nice day when you walk in the door and when you leave the store,know no one says it anymore ex spit the cashiers, and some people in the Isles. but what I saw from this place ,and the manager Michael,it's a dam shame it's turned up like this.and I spend on food here every week 4 to 5 ,iam not coming back here again and my friends and family read more
