So, we were having a 90th birthday party for my mother on Saturday and I wanted to pick up some…read morebirthday balloons. I knew I would be crazy on Saturday morning so I stopped there Friday night to pick up the balloons. I paid $13.50 for five balloons. The man explained that the price of the gas tank had gone up. Within 2 to 3 hours of getting home the three latex balloons Were completely wilted and fell down. I thought maybe it was the balloons that were the problem, since the other two mylar balloons were perfectly fine. I brought four of my own balloons back to Sunny's Discount fully hoping that the owner would just fill them for me. When I got there he told me that those balloons only last 2 to 3 hours. I said to him: so you're not going to do anything for me? He said no why are you getting so mad? I told him it was bad business. So after spending $13.50 the night before on five balloons I had to spend another $6.50 to get my own balloons blown up. I said to him: so you're telling me that if somebody needs balloons they have to run in here get the balloons and use them within two hours or they're no good? He said yes. Outrageous! He was nasty and I know this is only a story about balloons but it's the principle. Obviously this business is not concerned about repeat customers.

They've got everything you need for things around the house, from toothpaste and other toiletries to kitchenware and even hardware. The manager here is quite helpful and will direct you to the proper isle. Parking in the lot is free (and usually quite available) and they're even open till 8pm on most nights. I usually end up buying gifts, seasonal decorations, or little treats for myself like tea, antique trinkets, and candles. I find it hard to describe how the place is organized, but essentially every little alcove in the store represents a particular local craftsperson or entrepreneur. Some of my favorites include... * "Ma belle maison," which is a collection of interesting, reasonably priced antiques and decorations (some sourced directly from southwest France). I found a really cool antique pen tray and some North American duck stamped cards that I have framed above my desk. * "Backstory home" has the best seasonal candles I've ever found! The pumpkin bread candle actually smells like the real thing, and isn't too sweet or overpowering. I also bought their Taylor swift inspired candles for my cousin and she loved them! * Not sure if it's "Harbor cheese and provisions" or "Tono's Tabletop," but there is a fridge stocked with charcuterie, cheese, and nonalcoholic drinks that I've bought for picnics in springtime! Nest also has craft workshops that you can sign up for, and pop up shops that rotate pretty frequently. The clipper ship tea company is currently there, with a unique selection of loose leaf tea blends to choose from- like pumpkin chai! All in all, I love coming to nest. There is something for everyone!
