History
Established in 2009.
Starting as a freelance DBA by Andrew Davis from out of his home town in Connecticut, SmallDot Design has been around for years, but under two names.
SmallDot, called Stray Design at that time in 2009, started as a basic graphic design boutique for flyers, logos, and other minor consulting. After a year, Stray Design grew to offer flash web design through Wix.com. In 2011, noting the confusing meaning of Stray Design, Andrew changed his DBA to SmallDot Design, with emphasis on small business owners and quality affordable services to make them not feel "so small" anymore.
In 2012, Andrew, founder and sole proprietor of SmallDot, saw a need to expand the services he could offer. He hired 3 staff to assist in design and development services and also made affiliation agreements with two marketing companies on both the west and east coast to expand SmallDot's marketing services.
In 2014, SmallDot moved its location to Provo, Utah's bustling student-startup community.
Meet the Business Owner: Andrew D.
Andrew Davis is the founder of SmallDot. In his early teens, Andrew started his design career in developing rich, animated signage and print graphics at his hometown library in Connecticut.
After moving to Logan, Utah in 2011 to study graphic design at Utah State University, Andrew entered an internship in User Experience design at New Dawn Technologies. He left the internship in summer 2012. In spring 2013, Andrew joined the Logan office of Advent Integrated, a global marketing communications solutions firm, as a graphic designer. Recognizing his skills, Andrews responsibilities at Advent extended beyond design to include social interaction strategy and user experience projects. After leaving Advent in spring 2014, Andrew continues his career, pursuit and study of design while growing his small agency, SmallDot. His company has become the melting pot of all of his passion for design, interactive media, people, and business development.
Andrew currently resides and works in Logan.
