She was very personable and we saw so much during our time together. I did the tour on a Saturday at 10:00 am. Tour began outside Green Park Station. It was easy to find the tour guide. This tour is 6 hours and I saw sites in Westminster, City of London, and additional sights. There is a lunch break halfway through the tour. The tour ends outside the Tower of London. To name a few, we saw Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing St., Churchill War Rooms, Trafalgar Square. We didn't go inside the places, just the outside of it. Though there was no changing of the palace guards on Saturday due to preparations for the coronation and Easter, we were able to see changing of the horse guard. Sinead knew exactly where to stand to have the best view. Sinead also has YouTube videos so definitely check out her channel if you are traveling to London. Free tours by foot are pay what you like tours. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get an overview of London's history and see iconic sites.

Going in, I didn't have huge expectations, but the variety of food we sampled absolutely exceeded them. From Bangladeshi to Pakistani to Indian dishes (and beyond), the flavors really highlighted the diversity within the Indian subculture in East London. These were the kinds of hidden, off-the-beaten-path places that as a foreign traveler I'd never know to seek out on my own. In London, we did 2 separate tours, the free 2.5 hour walking tour (just FYI make sure to tip at the end) and the Old City Tour which lasted about 3-3.5 hours. The free walking tour was a great introduction to the city and meets in Covent Garden, which is centrally located on several underground lines. We went through Westminster, Trafalgar Square, and past the National Gallery. We also walked past St. Jame's Palace and Buckingham Palace and through St. James Park. We saw the Horse Guards Parade and witnessed the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. We saw Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the Churchill War Rooms. Our guide was originally from Portugal but really knew his London history and culture after living there for 12 years. He definitely made the tour entertaining and informative. The Old City Tour focused on the City of London (which is actually incredibly small) and its history. We began in Covent Garden and ended at the Tower of London. In between we saw the tower bridge, London Bridge (it's not impressive actually), Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Church of the Knights Templar, Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Royal Exchange, the WWII Blitz area, where the fire of London began, and the barristers courts. We also saw the old jail and the current courthouse. Our tour guide was actually originally from Canada and is a history teacher in London. He was very entertaining, perhaps less theatrical than our first guide, but more historically informed. I believe the tickets were 12 or 15 pounds each. Sandeman's is a great company and I highly recommend all of their tours in the cities they have them in!

We were taken to many photo spots and I love all the context we get. Dave the tour guide was so knowledgeable and super kind. On these tour he tells your tips on how to navigate around the city and etiquette. He was willing to give recommendations and directions when the tour ends too. Remember that these tours had a lot of research done and that you should tip as much you think it is worth. These tours are such worth it as they can build some structure on the trip. An "open secret", it's way more comfortable than the Tube and only slightly more expensive than a Zone 1 to Zone 2 ticket. Comfy seats with a great view, they also have an onboard coffee bar and wi-fi signal throughout. It's great on a decent day, even if it's cold. But I wouldn't want to do this in the rain. Still, it's got to be less sweaty than the Central line! This is not a guided tour boat - it's a commuter line. So don't expect announcements of the various sights. But they're still there - the Tate, London Bridge, Millennium Dome, all of it. The staff is very professional and very experienced. Expect to be prodded for your ticket a couple of times during the journey. You can not buy a ticket on board. I was very pleased with the journey and I would absolutely do it again. If you're hosting visitors to London, hitting the usual sights, you might want to show off the city and give this a try.

I watched the fireworks every year from different viewpoints along the Thames but obviously here is the best spot. The area is now controlled by ticketing, at £10 a ticket to avoid overcrowding. Okay, I'll stop right there because we're talking about gruesome murders that took place in 1888 by the clever and unknown "Jack". I booked this tour through Viator and our assigned guide was Ivan. We began the tour with a backstory of the neglected town of Whitechapel and continued the tour following in "Jack's" footsteps. Out of all of the tours we had in London, this was the most educational and compelling. Parts of the tour include photos of the women that were brutally murdered and Ivan would warn us to look away if we weren't interested in seeing them. I would highly recommend this tour, and I'm not a true crime podcast girlie.

We learned a lot of interesting facts about "The City" and all of the pubs selected for the tour were unique and had interesting histories. Overall it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Drinks are not included in the price of the tour, so guests are on their own. With 5 pub stops, you could potentially get pretty drunk (if you wanted to). My only suggestion is that I think this tour would run better with 4 stops and kept to 3 hours. By the end we were pretty hungry and the pubs were getting pretty crowded as the office crowd left work had headed out for a pint.
