I was very surprised by the selection and quality of the cupcakes smallcakes had to offer!! I've heard of the place before but don't ever recall coming here. Moving forward, I will definitely visit when I'm in need of a sweet treat. I had to wait just a few minutes to get assisted as there was only one worker who was on the phone taking an order. I checked into Yelp and received an offer for a free cupcake, but when I showed it to the cashier, he couldn't honor it because it "wasn't in the system." It was fine though! They seem to have the buy 5 get 1 free promo everyday. I thought the cupcakes would be on the pricier end, but they were just $3.95 each! I came a little past 7pm on a weekday, and I was worried they wouldn't have the flavors I was looking for, but they had it all! I tried the strawberry one and was amazed by how moist it was for being out in the open like that. So good! Also, I brought the rest of the cupcakes to school the following afternoon for a group of friends, and they were still in pristine condition. Everyone enjoyed the cupcakes woohoo!!! They serve ice cream as well but I didn't try it out. Plenty of indoor seating and parking. read more

So I needed to buy some cupcakes in a flash for a office and did a quick Google proximity search and this was the top result. And easy to see why. Walked in, greeted immediately, went over the specials (was around valentine's day) and asked howany I wanted. They were running a 12 for the price of 10 so that's exactly what I got. I only eat sweets once a month but the office I left them at texted me how delicious they were and asked which location I went to. The rating is based off the customer service. The young lady working around 2:45pm on September 21st had the least desirable customer service. She did not greet us upon entering nor thanked us for our purchase. I wanted my friend to just leave but he came here just for the red velvet ice cream. It will not happen again. read more

So disappointed. I love the smallcakes franchise. All locations I've been to have been great! However today I visited the katy location and was very confused/upset. I got the lemon drop and wedding cake flavors, my top two favs. When I opened the box I noticed that they looked a little smaller than usual. I haven't been in a while so I was t sure if they had decreased the size of their cupcakes. They were the size of a regular cupcake maybe even smaller! Cupcake liner wasn't filled! Went I to the store last night around 6:45pm and was going to order 6 cupcakes and then decided to up it to 12. the girl behind the counter turned around to get the box, came back over and then disappeared into the back room. My daughter and I waited and we could see her going back and forth like she was on the phone. We didn't hear the store phone ring and figured it was a personal call. anyways she never came back and we left after about 5 minutes. This is not the first time we have issues with this store. My godson is graduating from Texas A&M and I ordered form this store cupcakes with the icing in maroon, the color of said University, we'll I got them in brown. I am SO disappointed. Happy we gave this place another chance! We went once and the cupcake was somewhat dry. I ordered a birthday cake from here and it was delicious. My only negative thing would be is that the cake decorations were not stuck on securely, they were sort of placed on and the cake moved from the circular board. We only drove 3 miles after picking it up. However, I was able to make it work. Cake was moist and frosting was good! I will be back. read more

Sweet service and sweet treats! We stopped by after dinner to grab a celebratory cupcake for me 13 year old's birthday, but they only had three cupcakes left from the day. Kelsey offered us a voucher if we wanted to come by the next day. Totally took her up on the offer and had some yummy ice cream in the interim. We strongly recommend the salted caramel ice cream! We got three flavors to try out between us as a sampler lol. Lemon drop, sprinkles and carrot cake. The carrot cake wasn't very tasty in our opinion, kind of terrible tasting. Sadly we trashed it. $3.75 in the trash. The lemon drop was a bit too over the top sweet. Could've used a bit more depth of flavor. The sprinkles one was the best one in flavors and balance of taste. This one cast its spell on me before I even read the reviews for the coffee. It went into the GBS expeditiously. Every inch of this place looks carefully curated all the way to the bathroom. I got an iced caramel late and it was amazing! I also grabbed a little bag of the brown butter rice crispy treats. They were very tasty too. While waiting on my coffee a couple walked in and told me all about how the place was their favorite. I asked if they lived nearby and they don't. They live a city over and make the drive. They raved about the little bag of Bits or something saying it was delicious. I'll be trying that next time. This spot is beautiful and definitely worth conjuring up another visit!

It was my daughter's first birthday so we wanted to make it extra special. She went above and beyond. The cake tasted delicious and was well balanced with fresh fruit and a bit of sweetness. Although she said she will only consider my suggestions to leave room for her creativity and interpretation, it turned out exactly how I hoped, if not better then I imagined. She did such a good job creating a custom cake and customizing the figurines to be identical to my daughter's favorite stuffed animals. Our friends and family were impressed at the quality of the ingredients as well as attention to detail. I also have to mention the level of service. A hurricane passed through. She was out of power so we assumed the order was cancelled but she was still responsive and luckily she got power back in time and created the cake for us. We really appreciate the care and effort with her customers and cannot recommend her enough.
