Affordable, a great value. Low teacher-child ratio. My son was well prepared for Kindergarten.

Notre Dame has provided quality care for my children since day one. They truly treated my kiddos like their own. Any requests I had regarding their care was immediately addressed and implemented. The teachers are amazing, I would name them but honestly, I would have to name everyone who works there. From administrative staff, to the teachers, to the kitchen staff. Literally everyone genuinely cared about my kids. They even taught me a thing or two, like potty training tricks, and how to do my daughter's hair. Oh and if you just couldn't bring yourself to pack their lunches/snacks no worries, they can provide snacks and a home cooked lunch for an incredibly reasonable price! It saved our sanity on multiple occasions. My children learned so much and I truly believe Notre Dame shaped them into even better little humans. I am going to miss it here. (Also, they do parents night out. And I've never felt so comfortable going out with my spouse knowing my kiddos are well taken care of!)

We could not be HAPPIER with our choice of Northpark Montessori. We wanted a safe and caring environment that would help our child grow and learn. Frankly, we wanted our child to be happy first, learn next. We got that and so much more. We saw our child grow on every front. Social skills, academics, arts, sports ... and most importantly building confidence, being happy, and healthy. There are a thousand things that have be done right, and the awesome staff at Northpark Montessori are always on the mark. The caring and hands on leadership of Ms.Rushani and Ms.Jay has created a place where both kids and staff are succeeding every day. What has really mattered is how they sensitively deal with challenging situations, which can be quite common with the little ones. I recommend that you visit Northpark Montessori and judge for yourself. Special thanks to Ms.Rushani, Ms.Jay for being the perfect partners for our child's early schooling.

As he grew older and able to communicate more with gestures, he would direct me away from the school when I was driving to drop him off. He would have severe meltdowns at drop off every morning. Initially, I thought it was separation anxiety and continued to encourage him to go to the school. After the director and teacher complained that he was too advanced for the two-year-old class at two years old they placed him in the three-year-old class. (I've since learned this is a common thing in this type of school) They then began to complain that he was not meeting the expectations developmentally. We were told he was choosing to go to the bathroom " outside of the scheduled bathroom time" which is insane considering he is two years old and potty trained. He should be able to go to the bathroom whenever he feels like he needs to. We were being told that we didn't " discipline" him enough at home, given there were two of us (which also wasn't true because my son's father was deployed at this time). We hired a behavioral therapist company to work with him in the program, which is when we discovered that the teachers and director at the school were treating my son horribly. Multiple staff members from our behavioral agency noted that they were making disrespectful and rude comments to the children. Asking the therapists if they can make my child "shut up" & Placing inappropriate expectations on them that were outside of their developmental appropriate age. The director herself lied directly to our face saying the teachers were using resources that we provided to support them, such as timers for transitions and token economies for following directions. We were told " we don't really do that here, but we will to see if it works" when we pulled our child out of the program due to our agency, calling us with severe concerns of maltreatment (the ABA company genuinely called and said if you can remove him from this school tomorrow you should), we requested our items back. Then we were told by the school they didn't even have these items anymore (which is crazy because 24 hours prior they lied directly to my face saying they were using them daily) If I could scream from the rooftops not to bring your child to this program, I would. If not only for the safety of your child's mental health. It took several years for my child to be able to trust schools and adults again. He would absolutely shake in terror around anyone with a British/Indian accent similar to Mrs Rushani. He's now in first grade at a public school in general education and thriving thankfully. He required a lot of love and understanding to trust school again. It was a long recovery from the treatment he received at this horrible school. 0 stars.

My daughter is only 19 months old, and the growth we've seen in her since starting here has been incredible. She is already so advanced for her age, and I genuinely believe that's a direct reflection of the thoughtful curriculum and the intentional, nurturing environment the school provides. What really sets this school apart, though, is the staff. Every single teacher and team member we've encountered is warm, attentive, and deeply invested in the children. They don't just "watch" the kids, they engage with them, encourage them, and celebrate their milestones like they're their own. A special thank you to Ms. Sam and Ms. Maddy, who care for my daughter so thoughtfully each day. They have made such a meaningful impact on her growth and happiness. I also want to recognize Michelle ("Shells"), who helps run operations and has been an incredible asset to our family. Her support, communication, and presence do not go unnoticed. There's also such a strong sense of community here. From day one, we've felt welcomed and supported, and it truly feels like my daughter is being cared for by an extended family. Knowing she is safe, loved, and thriving every day gives me so much peace of mind. I'm beyond grateful we found this school and would recommend it wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a place where their child will be nurtured, challenged, and genuinely cared for.

On the second week of this program, during the last 10 mins where they separate the parents and let the kids play on the playground, one of the teacher's aide put her on the swing by herself, pulled her back, and pushed her forward. My daughter flipped backwards off the swing, spun in the air, and landed facedown on the ground. My wife ran out and quickly checked on my daughter and took her home. We called the pediatrician's office to see if we needed to bring her in to check for signs of concussion. After this happened, the school never once called to see how she was doing. The next day, we got a hold of the director and spoke to her about this incident. She tried to downplay it equating it to a minor fall/scrapes. No, this was not just a minor fall but a dangerous accident that happened in the hands of the teacher's aide. She then let us know that the way they work the swing is they first ask the child if they know how to go on and if the child say 'yes' and their hands are on the chains, they can go ahead and push the child. So they ignore what the parent told them during orientation, do not take any precautions when pushing a small child on the swing as long as the child said 'yes' to the swing? This is highly reckless and dangerous! We canceled our enrollment and never coming back here. Parents beware!

She is very hands on and is an amazing teacher. They are allowed to be children and explore the world around them. They do gardening, play in the mud, and many outdoor activities where they can learn through play. The children are taught values: how to be kind and respectful, how to be a good friend and of course academics. The smaller class size means that your child will get better quality of education versus a class of 29 in public school. After my 4th child graduated kindergarten, it was a no brainer for me to enroll my 5th child at Rise and Shine. My 5th child has learned and grown so much since starting kindergarten! He developed love for God and enjoys praying and reading his bible before going to bed. Don't be fooled though, the academic portion of the kindergarten class is really challenging and at the end of the day your child will surprise you with what he's learned in class. We really love Teacher Jeannie and Rise and Shine. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for them. Even if you have Teacher Jeannie as your teacher, you will feel that the school has a family atmosphere. Every one knows your child by name and truly cares. My only regret is not discovering them sooner with my 3 older children and I still pray that they open up elementary classes! That would be the dream!

We have been so happy with all our teachers and experiences! The infant teacher is especially amazing and my son will be starting this fall in the infant room just like my daughter did. If you're looking for a school for your kids to grow at, this is definitely the place. The class sizes are small, the teachers put so much effort into every child, and they bring home the sweetest projects for holidays as well. They even offer TK & K with after care which is a great option for working parents. I couldn't recommend Rise & Shine enough!
