I trust this school 100%, and every parent should be able to feel that way when they leave their child to go to work. My kids learn literacy, social skills, problem-solving skills, and even cookin, and Spanish in their enrichment program. During Summer, they have summer camp for the students, bring a petting zoo, and have water days. My kids love this place. The teachers are very caring. My kids are growing with their friends in this center. They are building the best memories. I can not appreciate enough. My kids come home happy to talk about their day at school and all the things they learned and discovered! The most important thing ever is that this place is safe and clean for my kids, especially with my daughter, who has severe allergies. I highly recommend this place. Liz.

My Heartfelt Review for Notre Dame Academy Our family is…read morebeyond grateful for Notre Dame Academy. This school has truly been a blessing in our lives, and the impact it has had on our children is something we will always appreciate. My children have been part of this program from infancy, through toddler years, and now into school age, and we have watched them grow, learn, and thrive every step of the way. They didn't just attend this school -- they grew up here. They love being at Notre Dame Academy, and as a parent, I trust this school 100%. That level of trust is priceless, and every parent deserves to feel that peace when leaving their child in someone else's care so they can go to work with confidence. At Notre Dame Academy, my children are learning so much more than academics. They are developing literacy skills, social skills, problem-solving abilities, and even learning cooking and Spanish through enrichment programs. The learning is hands-on, intentional, and meaningful. During the summer, the school offers an amazing summer camp experience with water days, special activities, and even a petting zoo, creating memories my kids talk about long after the day is over. What truly sets this school apart is the care and heart of the teachers and staff. They are patient, loving, and genuinely invested in each child's growth. My children are growing alongside their friends, building strong relationships, confidence, and life skills. Every day they come home happy, excited, and eager to share what they learned and discovered at school -- and that says everything. Safety and cleanliness are extremely important to our family, especially because my daughter has severe allergies. Knowing that my children are in a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment gives me complete peace of mind. I feel confident that my children are protected, respected, and truly cared for here. Notre Dame Academy does an incredible job of nurturing children while preparing them for what's next. Because of this foundation, my kids transition into new schools feeling confident, capable, and ready -- often even ahead of where they need to be. We are so thankful for Notre Dame Academy and the role it plays in helping raise our children with care, structure, and love. This is more than a school -- it's a community that supports families and helps children grow into their best selves. Sincerely, Louis Jones

It's his birthday and when we showed up, his classroom had personalized decorations up by the teachers in his room. Most days he asked for us to leave him there during pickup because he enjoys his environment. This isn't just with hai current teachers and classroom, but all previous ones in the past from newborn through current. He has grown and is so smart specifically because of the exposure and experiences that he gets with Tutor Time. I can't express how the family feel here is outstanding. Each teacher throughout the whole facility knows our son and his name and was excited to now expect our newest addition to our family, our baby daughter. Just like anything, the more time you invest the better any situation outcome becomes. This is where you want to send your kid! My 6 month old baby has been going there since it was possible for him to start attending and I could not be happier. Obviously, in the beginning I was a bit apprehensive about letting, not just them, but ANYBODY care for my baby, but over time, they have proven that they are more than capable AND they genuinely care for my baby. I can't help but feel a little jealous when I bring my baby to them and his face just lights up with happiness when he sees the teachers. If it was possible, I would keep my baby with me at all times, but since it is not, there's no other group of people I would rather trust with my baby with.

It is truly a family daycare and our son has become part of this special family. I can tell she knows and loves him on a deeper level and is familiar with all his likes, dislikes, and needs. Students and their families are treated with respect and kindness and, above all, with trust. Such a refreshing, reaffirming environment that allows young people to develop and thrive - not crush their natural curiosity and imagination with relentless messages on conformity. And, amazingly, this public charter school with an incredible curriculum is free! Transferring from a nightmare experience in 7th grade at Rio Norte - where everything is structured to the teacher's benefit, the volume of 'busy work' worksheets assigned daily is mind-numbing, and the default attitude is one of distrust - to the amazing project-based learning and integrated curriculum of SCVi was truly the answer to my prayers for my thoughtful, intelligent son. He had left elementary school as a confident, straight A student who benefited from the school's GATE program for 3 years, but after 1 year at Rio Norte Jr High, being brow-beaten and told by his teachers he was just lazy and not as smart as he thought, his spirit was crushed and he had become hopeless about school. SCVi turned all that around. The transition was a little rocky for him, as he was leaving his friends behind, but the staff and fellow students at SCVi worked hard at making him feel welcome and his contributions were once again valued. By the end of 8th grade, his confidence had returned, as well as his grades, and he'd even stepped into a leadership role in the epic Civil War Re-Enactment capstone project that is a tradition at SCVi. Without SCVi, the path for my gifted 13 year old son could have turned out very badly indeed. He's continued to develop and thrive there through high school, benefited from IB classes and theater, and will graduate next month as a poised, confident young man with broad knowledge and critical life skills. What parent could ask for more for their child? From the bottom of my heart, thank you SCVi!

Also, the school has a major bullying problem that they have covered up for a while now and only did the bare minimum if pushed to do. If you are not in the main popular friend group, you most likely cant talk to anyone. You'll also most likely be bullied if you don't like whatever the popular kids like, and people always beat each other up, and they do the most minimal punishments. I heard someone who caused a ton of people to bully someone else only got 1 day of ISS for doing that. So yea, i totally recommend not going here

Frankly, we wanted our child to be happy first, learn next. We got that and so much more. We saw our child grow on every front. Social skills, academics, arts, sports ... and most importantly building confidence, being happy, and healthy. There are a thousand things that have be done right, and the awesome staff at Northpark Montessori are always on the mark. The caring and hands on leadership of Ms.Rushani and Ms.Jay has created a place where both kids and staff are succeeding every day. What has really mattered is how they sensitively deal with challenging situations, which can be quite common with the little ones. As he grew older and able to communicate more with gestures, he would direct me away from the school when I was driving to drop him off. He would have severe meltdowns at drop off every morning. Initially, I thought it was separation anxiety and continued to encourage him to go to the school. After the director and teacher complained that he was too advanced for the two-year-old class at two years old they placed him in the three-year-old class. (I've since learned this is a common thing in this type of school) They then began to complain that he was not meeting the expectations developmentally. We were told he was choosing to go to the bathroom " outside of the scheduled bathroom time" which is insane considering he is two years old and potty trained. He should be able to go to the bathroom whenever he feels like he needs to. We were being told that we didn't " discipline" him enough at home, given there were two of us (which also wasn't true because my son's father was deployed at this time). We hired a behavioral therapist company to work with him in the program, which is when we discovered that the teachers and director at the school were treating my son horribly. Multiple staff members from our behavioral agency noted that they were making disrespectful and rude comments to the children. Asking the therapists if they can make my child "shut up" & Placing inappropriate expectations on them that were outside of their developmental appropriate age. The director herself lied directly to our face saying the teachers were using resources that we provided to support them, such as timers for transitions and token economies for following directions. We were told " we don't really do that here, but we will to see if it works" when we pulled our child out of the program due to our agency, calling us with severe concerns of maltreatment (the ABA company genuinely called and said if you can remove him from this school tomorrow you should), we requested our items back. Then we were told by the school they didn't even have these items anymore (which is crazy because 24 hours prior they lied directly to my face saying they were using them daily) If I could scream from the rooftops not to bring your child to this program, I would. If not only for the safety of your child's mental health. It took several years for my child to be able to trust schools and adults again. He would absolutely shake in terror around anyone with a British/Indian accent similar to Mrs Rushani. He's now in first grade at a public school in general education and thriving thankfully. He required a lot of love and understanding to trust school again. It was a long recovery from the treatment he received at this horrible school. 0 stars.
