Horrible non existent communication, so many cars stacked up around bldg you cannot even get into the lot. So much Junk Kevin literally cannot even get a car in the shop! Seven weeks ago I shipped my car to Higgins Automotive from Holden Beach, NC at a cost of $350, after talking to Kevin about a Bad oil leak on my 2008 Outback 3.0, Kevin was going to pull engine and reseal. After three Weeks waiting with no communication from Kevin, and Several phone calls later I finally got him on the phone. He was rude, but said he could only replace my engine with a JDM engine for around $3,000. I agreed, I NEEDED my car back. Waited two more weeks with no communication. Could not get Kevin on the phone. I drove Four hours to his shop. 10:30 am, shop was locked up. Cars and parts everywhere. I found my Outback on the very Outside edge of his parking lot, windshield covered in leaves and dust, not locked up, with my Only set of keys and key fob sitting on the drivers seat in plain view!!!! Anyone could have stolen my car. After about 25 minutes Kevin came walking up, acting strange. Told me I could just take my car and leave!!! I asked what was wrong was he Mad at me or something?? He turned back toward me and said " did I say I was mad at you??? And walked away! He refused to talk. Acting Really Strange!!! I have known Kevin for Many Years. He has Never acted like this!!! Good News thou! I took my Outback to Duckworth Automotive in Charlotte, a few miles away. I found people who knew and Loved Jimmy Higgins, former mechanics, and even Jimmy's own Son working tat Duckworth Automotive now!!!! It was Incredible, Very Professional! And one week later my Outback was repaired!!! Incredibly Awesome Experience!!!!! As Awesome as Higgins Automotive was when Jimmy was alive it is ten times more Horrible now!

I told Scott it shouldn't take long to fix it and I'll stay until its fixed. Scott gets on the phone with the owner and in a smart*** tone says yeah this girl here says she put a cardboard box under her car and there's some fluid under it and she thinks it can be fixed in a few minutes. He tells the owner I'm staying with my car. The owner said he was on the way. Wolfe got it on the lift and was like yeah you leaking oil. The owner gets there and calls in a pvc washer and hose after looking at the leak. He replaces that no charge and says bring it back in when you got 100-150 miles on it so we can see if it's still leaking oil. I bring it back a few days later with 99 miles extra on it. I bring the UV dye and UV flashlight to pinpoint the exact leaking spot. Got it from Advance. They run it through and the owner Micheal Blackmon says its leaking from the timing wall and its a 4hr job. I've had nothing but great experiences with these men. They're the absolute best and I trust them 100%. They're always super busy, but take the time out of their day to give a helping hand or explain things to you. I was stuck on the side of the road and needed a new tire one night. Every place was closing and wouldn't answer their phones. Except these guys! They were more than willing to help. They stayed after hours and flagged me down when I was driving up to their shop with a smile on their face. Instead of being rude or upset, they were the opposite. They were so caring and considerate. The guy was telling me he'd want someone to do the same for his daughter who's around my age and help her out in a stressful situation. This last time I had an appointment with them. I needed an oil change and my transmission fluid changed out. They were super fast! They always answer when you need them. They're just a short phone call away. They don't make you feel stupid and are more than willing to help you out and explain things to you. I like them the most because they genuinely want you to be safe in a car that runs well. They don't BS with you and are upfront with information without overcharging you for anything. They're extremely intelligent and do the BEST work. I'm so glad we were referred to them. 100% recommend

If it's not something he does he'll tell you and usually knows someone to refer you to. Many City Cops and Firemen come here as their go-to shop. I dont know if this guy was having a bad day or what…read more I called Robert via reccommendation on Thursday or Friday to see if he could change the oil on my 1974 F-100. I was hopeful but would have understood if he had said no. He laughed when I told him what I had, saying that not many of those came around to his shop, but said that he would definitely have me come in. Scheduled an appointment and everything, 8am the following Wednesday. My normal mechanic for this truck is in Raleigh, so I was happy to be able to get the oil changed in Greensboro. Showed up this morning at 8am (the time of my appointment) with my truck, and Robert comes out looking at me as if he has no idea what anyone is doing there. I explain to him that I had an appointment, and he says "I dont care if you had an appointment or not. I dont work on anything older than a '97 (if I remember correctly) and I'm definitely not going to stop what I'm doing to work on THAT." I tried to tell him again: "but over the phone you told me tht you could change the oil, all you need is a little time and grease gun, you scheduled me an appointment, I took time out of my day for this." to which he said: "Well, I lied to you." You may have more luck with this guy with a newer car. But dont ever expect him to hold his appointments or tell the truth about what he can and can't do.
