1‑Star Review: Firestone Lexington, NC -- Rude, Unprofessional, and the Worst Experience I've Ever…read moreHad with Firestone I took my truck to Firestone Lexington, NC on September 16 for an alignment after switching from aftermarket 24‑inch rims back to brand‑new factory 22‑inch rims and brand‑new tires. The shop I purchased them from does not do alignments, but the installation was correct and the truck drove perfectly for several days -- Saturday through Tuesday -- with NO warning lights and NO issues. When I dropped the truck off on Wednesday, there were absolutely no lights on, and the staff even acknowledged that everything was normal at intake. When I picked it up later, suddenly my tire pressure lights were on. I returned today as instructed, expecting professionalism and a willingness to help resolve the issue. Instead, I was met with a service representative who was rude, dismissive, and confrontational from the moment I arrived. I was originally speaking with another employee about the issue, and the customer service lady I ended up dealing with actually stopped what she was doing just to insert herself into the situation and confront me. She made it a point to get involved, and from that moment forward her attitude was hostile and unprofessional. She repeatedly insisted it wasn't their responsibility and that "nothing they did" could have caused the problem -- despite the fact that the truck was functioning perfectly before being in their possession. She blamed the shop that installed the brand‑new tires and rims, blamed the age of the truck, and blamed everything except the possibility that something occurred while the vehicle was under their care. When I asked about replacement sensor costs, I was told $120 each plus tax. When I asked what Firestone would contribute, I was offered a pathetic $20 per sensor -- a total of $40 -- and absolutely nothing toward labor. When I questioned the fairness of that, she became even more hostile and stated she was "not going to argue" with me. What makes this even worse is that I have used Firestone many times over the years. I even have an account with Firestone. I normally go to the Salisbury or Concord locations because I've always had good experiences with them. In fact, I had heard negative things about the Lexington store and avoided it for that very reason. But since I now live in Lexington, I figured I'd give them a chance -- after all, how could you mess up an alignment? Well, I got that answer real quick. This is the first time I've ever experienced this level of unprofessionalism and disrespect at any Firestone location. And after today, I have nothing positive to say about the Lexington store. Bottom line: Firestone Lexington shows zero accountability, zero professionalism, and zero respect for customers. They acknowledged the lights were off when I dropped the truck off, yet still refused to take any responsibility when the issue appeared under their care. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others avoid this location.

No expectations I drove from Charlotte to Lexington to be utterly amazed at the professionalism of the employees of TK auto. I was greeted when I first drove up. The staff was super friendly. First glance at the garage bays looked very nice and well kept. I meet Johnny, Robert, Piseth & Brandon and felt confident watching these mechanics work on the cars currently in the shop. Johnny the owner asked me what my symptoms were. A few seconds later after doing a inspection, he came wt a game plan and prognoses. He gave me a computer diagnostic and read the error msgs. Having a German car and knowing how touchy it can be - I was weary at first. He explained what the issue could be, and added they there might be other alternatives that would fix the issue. I agreed the the alternative work repair versus going the other route having to replace sensors and dismantling parts. After Johnnys quick fix, he asked that I drive the car over the weekend and if the check light comes back on the part required has already been ordered and ready to replace on Monday. I am now home and was so pleased that my Check Engine light is gone ! Will continue to follow his instructions and drive the car to cycle the codes and hope that the check engine light is gone to do my inspection on Monday. Very happy to made the decision to solicit TK Auto Repair. Very satisfied with the owner, mechanics and employees. The service and knowledge was very refreshing for once. Did not feel like I was in a corporate chain auto shop that wanted to gauge you. Will repost Monday to give full details on the check engine light and if I passed. Definitely worth the drive !!
