They have had my Lawn mower since 09/12/2025. Four weeks it has been there and they haven't looked at it. I have not ever received a call to tell me what is happening. This is a warranty repair. I call weekly to the manufacturer and this business. No one ever knows anything, they have no updates. All their comercial customers are taken care of ahead of me. I spoke to Caleb today and he told me all warranty jobs take THREE MONTHS. I am 70 years old and cut my .27 acre property every week. It has now not been cut for 4 weeks and no one cares. NEVER, if you are an individual, go to this company for repairs of any small engine. Maybe if I were younger and and a man my equipment would have been repaired long ago. read more

My friend who is a single mother and not experienced in small engines took her Stihl leaf blower to MacAbee Tractor & Turf for a minor repair -- the old fuel merely needed to be cleaned out of the carb. MacAbee charged her $72. *Thankfully* they told her they couldn't (or wouldn't) do the same for another similar but non-Stihl leaf blower which also needed service. She found Small Engine Solutions who performed the exact same repair and only charged her $20. We will certainly recommend anyone we know who needs such service and doesn't want to get ripped off go to Small Engine Solutions. Note: this company is new and therefore didn't have their website up & running at the time of this review. They purchased the old business at their location for years known as Weed Whackers. read more

Have had several pieces of equipment serviced at 'Weedwackers' and feel that a review is finally order. I don't usually post any reviews but this small mom and pop stands out above the rest. Derrick has helped me via phone, fix the problem without me having to lug my heavy equipment to the shop. He's not all about squeezing every red cent he can out of you as are most businesses today. He's not afraid to say he doesn't have an answer to a question, but always finds the correct answer. His staff is noteworthy as well. Taylor is obviously passionate about his work, setting the stage for quality small engine repair. He takes time to educate and demonstrate that the equipment is working properly. The office staff should not go unnoticed either. They are fast, friendly and professional as well. I appreciate them taking a look at it but I didn't like the effort and the condition the lawn mower came back to me when they told me they couldn't fix it. It turns out that the starter rod was loose, the spark plug was bad, and the carburetor needed to be cleaned out. If someone gives you something to examine, make sure you put it back the way you received it before giving it back to the customer. read more

First; a little background information. Last fall our mower began running rough and cutting off after a few minutes running time. It had also developed an oil leak from the valve cover. I replaced the air filter and spark plug in an attempt to repair the problem of cutting off. When this didn't work to remedy the problem, we parked it and used a borrowed mower for the rest of the season. I took the mower to Weedwackers, described the problems, and paid their mandatory non-refundable $20 deposit. It was made very clear (oral and written) that I would be contacted with an estimate before any work was done. About a week later, I received a voicemail telling me that the leak had been fixed, they cleaned the carburetor, and it was ready to be picked up. When I went to pick the mower up I expressed my displeasure at them having done the repair without calling. His response was that they had to clean the carburetor to see if that was the problem. I responded that he should have called first to tell me that was what he needed to do, and how much it was going to cost. I got a "deer in the headlights" look in return. Looking at the invoice, I noticed they had also sharpened the blade, changed the oil, spark plug, and air filter. When I questioned the fact that these things had been done he told me that I wasn't charged for them. Hey; how about the $11.00 parts charge for the spark plug and air filter???? Not to mention...it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at a filter or plug and know that it doesn't need replacing. Neither one had more than 10 minutes running time on them (see my 1st Paragraph). In fact, I have no way of knowing if they really were replaced... They were new when I took the mower there and they were new when I picked it up. There is no doubt that had I refused to pay for the repairs the mower would not have released to me. He would have eventually sold it as unclaimed, and kept my $20 deposit to boot. Worst of all was his attitude; best described as arrogant. He is completely out of touch with how to treat customers. But I believe that "what goes around, comes around" and if his business gradually declines he has nobody to blame but himself. I strongly suggest that you don't patronize this business. Count the bad reviews at this site and others...they outnumber the good ones. There are plenty of other reputable repair shops around. read more
