I was recently shopping for a new zero turn mower and exploring different brands. Exmark seemed to be a brand used by many professional landscapers so I searched for a local dealer in the Simpsonville, SC area. This where I discovered Five Forks Mower which was located not far from my home. From the first day I entered their businesss they greeted me and began answering my questions regarding their inventory of mowers. To make a log story short I ended up purchasing a new mower from them of 09/02/2026. They conducted an overview of the mower before and after the delivery of the mower and stressed that I should feel free to come by or call them if I had any questions or concerns. I was so impressed by their staff, I also had them repair a Stihl Kombi unit that was not working properly. This repair was completed in several days and for a reasonable price. I would Like to commend Melissa, Randy, Katie, Ricky and the remainder of their staff for their professional and knowledgeable assistance. I could not recommend this business enough for people who need quality mowers, power equipment and repairs. read more

I have used Five Forks Mower for a few years. I don't think I have ever worked with a better company. I called and my riding mower was picked up, fixed, and returned. It was priced reasonable, friendly service. We had great communication. I truly wish I could find a car mechanic with their integrity. ( I am sure they are out there, I just can't find one). Thank you FFMS read more

Always friendly and lawnmower runs like new. Took it in for an engine problem and the part was replaced in the engine.

One start is to high, it won't let me post a negative star rating. Rude unprofessional and disrespectful to me and my wife. I will never do business with this company again and will recommend to everyone I come across not to patronize this company. After the insulting comments made to my wife by the owner (Melissa) , we will go anywhere and spend double rather than deal with these backwoods people. This is the nicest thing I could say before I start dropping F-bomb about how pissed I am at their comments to my wife. read more

Five Forks Mowers - The best place for lawn equipment service - Outdoor Power Equipment Services Near Me - Simpsonville, South Carolina

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I'M DONE. I've taken my lawn mower here a few times for repairs over the last couple years. Repairs and prices were fair. Not anymore. I took my mower in (used twice in May 2021 by me) and wouldn't start in Sept. They replaced the carb (April 2020 not a typo), In Jan 2021, they sharpened the blade, replaced the spark plug, adjusted the pull coil, governor spring, changed the oil and was "winterized" by them with all that plus a stabilizer I purchased from them, etc. When I asked why a carb should only last 16 months, the carbs are a bad design according to 5 Forks. My bill was $140 which I asked for a compromise as I didn't ask for that and should have been called for authorization which I found out today you have to request. Otherwise they just go ahead. (Their reason: a new carb is $30, to clean an old one $55). I never asked for blade sharpening, spark plug, oil change. Spark plug was 9 months old. Filter was new and clean. Oil change needed after 2 uses? I could MAYBE see that I guess. The exchange was admittedly heated on both sides. The owner (assuming) Randy was condescending. I.e., "do I know how to take the air filter cover off?" etc. Wow. Yes I do actually. He took $35 off my bill and said "our business relationship is done. I will have a note in our computer to not do business with you again." I said that's fine with me. read more

I was disappointed to have an extremely negative experience at Five Forks Mower Sales and Repairs (denoted hereafter as FFMSR). I have never left a negative review for any single business before - people make mistakes and I understand that is a part of life, but I've never quite experienced what I experienced there. A summary statement is below, with a complete version on the Angie's List website, but which I am prevented from posting here due to limits on the number of characters. Summary: FFMSR made an omission in my mower service, at which point, after I called to figure out what happened, the owner (Randy) returned my call originally acted as if he was going to treat me fairly on the phone, then, when I returned to the location, and after he offered to complete the original service request for free, which offer I accepted after he explained it and I thought it over, the owner started yelling and cursing at me and telling me to leave the premises, under no provocation (at least that I know of) from me. FFMSR failed to complete the initial service I requested (cleaning of the carburetor), until the the owner informed me that that was never done and claimed that I had not requested it. The owner claimed I was "asking the same damn question over and over." I'm not sure what the question was which prompted his cursing, but I will grant that I am not an expert in the mechanical issues, which prompted some questions by me (these questions were asked not rhetorically or sarcastically, but with the intent of trying to make a decision). If I were more knowledgeable about the mechanical issues, I wouldn't have needed a repair service. read more

I dropped off my mower Tue, June 7, and told them I needed the two drive belts replaced. On Friday, June 10 they called and told me they would have to order one of the drive belts unless I wanted to search for the belt at a local landscape supply store; they said they had the other belt. Though I was a little taken aback that I had to find, and deliver, them a belt, I did just that. On Wed of the next week, now June 15, I called to my inquire about the mower. They told me they had to order the other drive belt, and it was supposed to be in that day. I exploded; I could have delivered them the other drive belt, along with the other one I delivered to them the previous week. I called again on Friday morning, now June 17, and they told me that the mower was done. After unloading the mower, I started it up; I did not go more than 5 feet on the grass when the back left wheel fell off. C'mon, you can't make this stuff up. read more
