Since Wall-E needed to be neutered, a dear friend recommended Kindness Animal Hospital, and we are so thankful they did. From the very first phone call, when we spoke with Brenda and explained our story, we were met with nothing but kindness, compassion, and understanding. It meant more to us than she probably realizes. Dr. Rosenblatt examined both of our newly adopted fur babies and helped us get Wall-E scheduled for his neutering at just the right time. Sam and everyone else on the staff made us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely love animals, and that love carries over to the people who walk through their doors, too. The care our boys received was exceptional, and we were also so appreciative that it was affordable. During a difficult time for our family, everyone at Kindness made something that could have been stressful feel easy. We can't recommend Kindness Animal Hospital enough. Our kitty was diagnosed with hyper thyroid about two years ago, and has been the vet a LOT in that time. Like most cats, he doesn't like leaving the house, interacting with strangers and certainly kicks up a fuss when someone tries to take his blood or give him a shot. We also moved recently, so we tried out a different vet that didn't work out well at all, so we were as stressed out as the poor cat. Usually after a vet visit, he'll sulk, hide and hold a grudge for at least six hours, but after visiting Dr. Singh, he was totally chill. My husband went on the actual appointment, but he said that Dr. Singh was reassuring our cat that he is loved, and that his calm demeanor really seemed to soothe everyone. We're relieved that our favorite friend is in excellent hands now, and would recommend Akaal to any pet owner, but especially to those who have cats who are a bit difficult.

Our Goldendoodle has suffered from allergies most of her life. It started slowly, mostly with…read moregastro issues, and then branched out into environmental issues over the years. She was a frequent flier to the vet and had to get monthly allergy injections to keep her comfortable. After being on a prescription hydrolyzed protein food for a while, she was having a hard time. Our vet suggested we see a Dermatologist. Enter Dr. Painter. I should have played the lottery the day we went to see her because it was for sure a lucky day. We met over the phone due to Covid. Never having met face-to-face, she listened to all the ups and downs for our dog. She never made me feel like a burden or bother - she was engaged and genuinely interested. Post our chat and our dog's in-person visit - Dr. Painter easily laid out a plan for her. She had seen other dogs like ours and recommended a new food and additional interventions. Our dog was in excellent hands. As if we needed additional proof, most recently, our dog ended up in the ER with her most severe allergic reaction ever. Unfortunately, the ER doctor was a generalist and couldn't pinpoint the issue. So, I emailed Dr. Painter photos of the breakout without a second thought. Within a few minutes, she responded with a diagnosis and intervention. Our dog was made comfortable and in stable condition. We followed up with Dr. Painter and now understand the issue and a long-term care plan for our dog. We are glad Dr. Painter came back to the East Coast and that she can be a part of our dog's care. She and her team always show genuine care for both pets and humans. We can't recommend her enough for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, engaged, and superly awesome human being who also happens to be an excellent dermatologist. These sweet animals are only treated by vets who treat "exotic animals," (i.e., not a cat or dog) and there aren't many of these vets. I needed to make an appointment for one of them to be seen. The immediate situation was not considered an emergency, but could turn fatal. Making an appointment for my pet was not an easy task. I was finally able to get an appointment yesterday, for today (approx 24 hours ago). As life goes, life happened. I was not going to be able to make the scheduled appointment, I found out 1.5 hrs before. I called to apologize and wanted to reschedule, my pet still REQUIRED care. I was informed that because I am a new client and need to "cancel" my appointment (I asked immediately to reschedule), that Dr. Binder has recently stopped allowing this. There is the 24 hour cancellation policy(yesterday, when they called me to make the appointment), also my appointment slot could not be "filled in time". Time for what? To recoup that lost 'new patient' fee? I asked if they would please double check with the doctor. I called back (1 hr later) to find out the answer. As the receptionist had explained earlier, the doctor said "no." I stated "this is important." The response given was "THERE ARE OTHER DOCTORS!" (rudely) It was difficult enough trying to find a vet that could treat exotic animals, let alone trying to schedule an appointment! It is obvious that they are NOT concerned with the welfare of every pet. "Compassionate care for your fur family" Straight from their webpage OBVIOUSLY that quote is questionable, if not just FALSE.
