Vegan cupcakes looks just like the picture I gave them. They were delicious! The lady I met the first time I went there went over and above to help me. She helped me find the right kind of cupcakes for my friend's shower. The cupcakes were ready for pick up at the right time read more

My daughter wanted a purple unicorn cake for her 3rd birthday. They delivered!! They were so amazing to work with- texted them a couple ideas and what I wanted it to say. Told them we wanted pink cake inside- so decided strawberry with purple buttercream frosting that wouldn't turn our teeth that color. It was perfect and exactly what we had asked for! So talented. And the cake was delicious!! We froze a bunch and it's still yummy a few months later! Will use them again for sure! read more

The cupcakes were good but the ones with filling had very little filling inside and I did think $5.25/cupcake was kinda pricey for what you're getting. They're pretty but most are cake with just frosting on top, not too exciting. I'm not sure how long they'd been sitting out because the frosting had a full crust, dry to the touch & the whipped cream on the strawberries n cream was a bit chewy? Not soft/fluffy like fresh whipped cream even though she just put them out so maybe made earlier in the day in the back or something But the cakes themselves were moist They sell knick knacks in the store and Mayfield as well There's plenty of parking in the shared lot and nobody else was there when we went. They had every cupcake available at the time too Probably won't be back on my own but if someone else wanted to come, I wouldn't say no to buying another cupcake. read more

You can't beat these cupcakes. Always soft, moist and full of flavor! Love picking up some for little gifts too!

So I was looking for a quick inexpensive dessert to take to my friends for Thanksgiving. I really didn't want to take a basic pie and I don't have hours today to bake. Small Cakes was recommended in the Cherokee County Facebook page and it was the perfect suggestion. I ordered a mini-gobble box at 10:30pm and picked it up at noon the next day. Absolutely adorable decorations and the taste is FANTASTIC!! The cake is moist and the frosting is fluffy and not overly sweet like you get from some lesser establishments. They have a wide range of flavor offerings and can cater to any type of event. Highly recommend if you need a dessert on the fly or to just satisfy your sweet tooth. read more

When your children disagree about the flavor of cupcakes you should make, your best option is to go to Small Cakes Cupcakery! They have a great variety to choose from and everyone is sure to walk away happy. Most important, their cupcakes are amazing! The cake is perfectly moist and the frosting is thick, sweet and plentiful. I brought home (and personally tasted) the choc-aholic, cookies n cream, and birthday cake. I also bought a pink vanilla, chocolate fudge (I was told the icing on this one was super delicious) and one that looked like a hostess cupcake. I'm a chocolate girl and the 2 I tried were great but the birthday cake had an amazing flavor. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Small Cakes. With Covid-19 so many things changed with our wedding and I needed a bakery at the last minute that would make us the lemon blueberry cake we wanted. I called Small Cakes and told them what I wanted (after striking out with numerous other bakeries) and just by sending pics and communications through texts after that they provided mini cupcakes and a wedding cake that fit what we wanted EXACTLY! A huge THANK YOU to Grace for all your help. read more

The cake itself was good, but the communication was terrible. At the consultation I made a deposit and the owner told me she would send me the contract. Weeks passed; no contract. I left several text messages. No response. Then I received a text that she had just emailed the contract. She had not. Finally, the week before I was to pick up the cakes I received the contract via email. she said she had a sick child and could not respond. No way to run a business. Would not do business with them again. Too much stress to deal with for an important occasion. read more

Very cute cupcake shop. It's SUPER clean, the cupcakes were arranged and displayed nicely and the staff was friendly . The cupcakes were good, but not the best I've had and a little expensive. I had the lemon drop cupcake, but it was SO sweet, it was difficult to taste lemon flavor. My youngest daughter had the carrot cake cupcake and loved it. read more

Great place for cupcakes or custom cakes. They have made 2 custom cakes for me and they looked amazing and tasty just as good as they looked. Ordered a cake for a couple-worker and it came out beautiful and very tasty. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I ordered a GF, vegan, nut-free cake for a party recently. This was the first time I had ordered from Small Cakes Cupcakery. The person who took my order was very thorough and very pleasant on the phone. My husband went to pick it up and called to tell me he had it and that it looked fine. Being a man, I wasn't expecting much of a reaction, but was hoping for more than "fine". When I finally got to see it I was thrilled - the cake was beautiful! But as anyone GF knows, the real test is the taste test. It did NOT disappoint! As a matter of fact, a friend unexpectedly brought another GF vegan cake to the party from another specialty bakery, so we were able to do a side-by-side taste comparison. Small Cakes definitely won! The cake was moist and did not have that dense GF taste and feel. The frosting was to die for! It was light, fluffy, not overly sweet, and absolutely delicious! This will be my go-to bakery from now on for GF cake!! The only thing I would like different is the option to ordering a sheet style cake. For a large party it is much easier to cut and serve a sheet cake than a round cake, but Small Cakes does not offer than option. It certainly is not a deal-breaker though due to the quality and presentation of the cake. read more

I had 4 cupcakes delivered and I was very pleased. The icing and moisture for each cupcake was perfect. Highly recommend!

I am blown away by how much (what I presume is) the owner of this shop went above and beyond yesterday. We had finished having dinner with a group of friends and their children at Izumi next door around 8p.m. on a Sunday. The kids were really excited about getting a cupcake after dinner until we realized the shop was closed. This resulted in tears and sadness from a disappointed 4-year-old. The owner was still inside the cupcakery and saw the events unfolding. He completely stunned all of us by unlocking the doors, and bringing out a box of four cupcakes. Not only that, he didn't even charge us for them. We were blown away. This was a small gesture that had big impact. This will absolutely be my go-to place to get treats for my personal life and for any work events as well. We will now be customers for life. read more

I walked in and knew I was in heaven! The staff is awesome, explaning how they made the cupcakes and the quality of the cupcakes matches up! We had a 4 box, strawberry, pineapple coconut and peanut butter...OMG AWESOME! They are light, fluffy and a little cake of delish. I live in DC and go to the likes of Georgetown Cupcakes, Sprinkles and Cake Love..I have to say that small cakes puts them to shame. I hope Small Cakes opens up somewhere near me, well my waist line doesn't need it but my tastebuds do! Go, order, eat and repeat!! read more

I've tried many cupcakes in many cities, but few compare or even surpass my neighborhood shop, Smallcakes. I highly recommend the Salted Caramel cupcake (comes in yellow or chocolate cake). The lemon and coconut cupcakes are good too if you like lighter desserts. If you need a chocolate fix, you can't go wrong with any of their selections. This location doesn't honor the punch cards from the Dallas Hwy location, which is a shame. But apparently they are under different management from the other locations. I always take guests visiting from out of town here for a treat. They're impressed too. It's a great addition to Woodstock! read more

I ordered a cake for a graduation party. While ordering the lady said "do you want writing on it". So I replied, "Sure, Congratulations Jennifer". Today I picked up the cake only to notice it said "Congrats Jennifer". There was not room for the full word but I was not told that nor did anyone call to tell me. I really hate congrats as it is so informal. I'd rather have had no writing. But since the lady asked I went for it. The cake was also too tall for the box. The girl explained that they haven't ordered the boxes for this cake size. I asked her to put another cover on it so it would not be exposed and was told no. I asked for a second box so I could make my own. It took me all of 30 seconds to fix up the box in a tent shape to protect it. I posted a note on Facebook for Small Cakes to rethink changing customer orders without notifying them and to order boxes to fit their cakes. My friend called after he had seen my post on FB to ask if I was serious about the box. When I got home the post had been removed. While the cupcakes and cakes taste great there is more to a business than just a good product. I will think twice before going there again. I want really upset until my posts were removed. I wonder how many others have been removed. read more

I'm writing this review as I wipe cupcake crumbs from my face. To say I devoured my treat would be pretty accurate. I've seen the sign for the bakery every time I drive to the freeway, and let me tell you... You need to stop in.The cupcakes are amazing! The inside is adorable. Lots of cute pinks and blues and stripes. The cupcakes are nice and big, with a HUGE dollop of frosting on top. I'm convinced the frosting mountain was several feet above sea level. They are nice and moist inside, while being golden brown on the tops. Best part was the price! Less than $4 for a dessert that could easily be shared between two people?! Yes please!! read more

There is just no other cupcake place after you have been here. Moist and sinful. My pics are candied pig, coconut, and fat Elvis.

Love this place. I have tried many in the offerings and my fave is the Stuffed French Toast. Worth the 3 dollars too. Also not buying that one 3 star review about them not selling to her at 8:01 with customers in the store. They are not like that at all. read more

Nice little cupcake shop with some good cupcake flavor options and samples of other baked goodies for sale. I really liked the chocolate chip cookie bits! The flavor of the cupcakes were okay but the icing was incredibly thick and heavy. I'm used to icing on cupcakes having a light, whipped, fluff type of consistency so maybe this is just a different type of cupcake. I had the blueberry cheesecake which was good. I really liked the cheesecake bites in the cupcake but it also has blueberry filling which was a little overwhelming so I didn't finish it, I also had the birthday cake which was plain vanilla and plain icing with sprinkles, the icing was very heavy so I didn't finish that either. I usually expect either confetti cake or cake batter flavor as "birthday cake" flavor but this was just a normal vanilla cupcake, I'm guessing the sprinkles make it birthday cake? My Mr. got the pink sugar and birthday cake as well and didn't finish his either because the icing made eating the cupcake very messy. He took 2 bites of the pink sugar and said it tasted okay. read more

Cute little bakery right by my favorite restaurant. The cake itself in the cupcake could be better for chocolate flavors, but that's me just being picky. Over all love the cupcakes and totally worth checking out. I love how creative the flavors are and even though it's $3 you get a giant gourmet cupcake. Love supporting local businesses with fun, cute ideas! read more

I ordered cupcakes from Small Cakes for my wedding about a month ago. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting. The wedding planning got very crazy and I had to place my whole order by phone for 6 dozen cupcakes and a special 8" cake for my husband and I. Sweet Baby Jesus! These cupcakes are heaven in my mouth. The cake part is SO moist, the frosting is the perfect consistency, and not too sweet. If I'm going to throw down $3 on a cupcake, it better be worth it! And Smallcakes Is.Worth.It. They always change up the flavors, and offer fun creations. I love anything with peanut butter and chocolate. They have also started selling donuts in the morning, but I haven't tried any yet. This place is always a fun treat for my family! read more
