So I leave again and they call me to come in and the repair should take about an hour. 3.5 hours later I am still sitting in their small office. After 3.5 hours, they tell me the computer won't work so the new headlight and running light will not work and that I have to take it to the dealership. I make an appointment at the dealership in Pittsburgh and they take the car apart again and lo and behold find that there is NO LIGHT BULB. They have to order the bulb and again I must go in and get the bulb installed. One might say that Smail is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier LOL. I have never encountered such incompetence.

But after…read moremy last several visits to this NTB repair shop, I can now breathe a little easier about this unavoidable task. I have a 5 year, un-limited, wheel alignment package for my vehicle, so I try to keep up with this type of service as often as my memory allows me to do so. Since I usually think about having this work done without much pre-planning, I am thankful when I am able to be worked into the schedule without an appointment. The current staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive when they are checking you in for service. Previous visits left me feeling as though the last thing those staff members wanted to see, or hear about, was another customer with car troubles! It is helpful to be able to ask questions about your car repair needs, and have it explained in a manner that it is understood. So far, so good, during these last few visits. There were times when a second opinion sought elsewhere verified the same diagnosis. Credibility earned! For now, my vehicle appears to be in good shape, and I am happy to know that the next time a shop repair is needed I will not have to fear a trip to the garage!

EVERY time! Being an intelligent person, it did not take me long to see what was going on there.....so I stopped servicing my car at KR and started taking my car to a mom and pop shop ever since. I'm not going to waste money on parts that I really DON'T need just because a mechanic has to hit his revenue number at the dealership.....AND also have them throw away perfectly good parts that are now forever polluting our environment, just for a quick buck. With that said, I needed new brakes and my mom and pop shop couldn't put them on because they are electronic, and need to be installed by a dealership...So I was concerned with going to another dealership like KR with the never ending reco's of parts that I don't need. Well, I called SMAIL Kia. They were able to get me in the next day, which was excellent. The mechanic had called later and said that I needed new pads and rotors, and it was going to be $825. I thought that was a pretty fair price, but a bit on the high side, but of course agreed to it and they installed the brakes. I came to pick up my SUV and the bill was actually $668 instead of $825....a PLEASANT surprise! AND more in line with what the brake repair should be in my opinion.....The mechanic said he was able to save me some money, and I told him I NOTICED that and APPRECIATE it! Everyone was very kind and professional and they washed my car before leaving. Nice touch! Bottom Line....it does not take long for a person to catch on to what places like KR are doing, and believe me they are losing a great deal of business because of their practices (Including mine). BUT SMAILS does NOT seem to be like that! I have to say that I REALLY appreciate people who try to save me some money, and for that I WILL BE USING SMAIL KIA AGAIN! Thank you!

Completely unacceptable service that severely compromised my safety on September 8, 2026. I ordered…read morea specific set of all-weather tires for my Mazda, but this shop installed all-season tires instead. Compounding this error, they mismatched the tires--installing three tires manufactured in 2026 and one from 2025. They then took my vehicle's original tires and threw them into an outdoor trailer, leaving me with no choice but to drive away on an unsafe configuration. Because they failed to correctly inspect, balance, or match the tires, my car immediately began "dog tracking"--a dangerous alignment defect where the vehicle's rear wheels don't line up with the front, causing the car to travel down the road sideways. My Mazda was pulling heavily to the right, creating an immediate driving hazard. I was forced to take my car to NTB (National Tire & Battery) to properly diagnose, re-balance, and completely fix the alignment and handling issues caused by Flynn's--expenses I had to pay entirely out of pocket. This business proved to be completely deceitful, and their failure to perform basic safety checks is alarming. I officially filed a complaint with the Attorney General (File # BCP-26-05-044143), and unbelievably, right after I did, my original tires magically "showed up" at the shop. It is incredibly strange how a business completely ignores a customer's safety until state regulators get involved. I have forwarded all of this documentation and the sudden reappearance of my tires to Margaret McHan to ensure it is added to the official investigation. Their response to the AG doesn't change the fact that they knowingly let me drive away in a hazardous vehicle. Avoid this company at all costs.

I called in the late morning on the last day of the month to have an inspection/emissions done on a vehicle (that was a month overdue). As this is usually the worst time to take a car to a garage, especially for inspection stickers, I was not expecting them to be able to do it. Much to my surprise, when I took the car in, not only was the service staff incredibly friendly AND able to work my inspections into the schedule, they had my car done in AN HOUR. Everything was super easy, no hassles. And I thought that was pretty great all around. So, I can't speak on the topic car repair with them because I have not had that experience, but I'd definitely recommend them for inspection stickers.
