I was very apprehensive about the process because I was 36 when I started treatment, but all my reservations were quelled at my first visit. Everything I needed to know was clearly explained and everyone on staff is excited along with me about my progress. Dr. Duval takes the time to explain what's happening with treatment and gives great tips on how to best care for my braces. Thanks to the progress that I have experienced, I have convinced some of my co-workers to take a chance on braces...and of course I recommended Dr. Duval. One thing people have to understand is you have to put in the work and follow instructions when you are in braces. It takes extra time and effort, but in the end, progress is always is a positive result.

Rhonda at Dr. Duvall's office fraudulently recorded payments by my ex-husband's insurance as…read morepayments made by him so that it would count towards his half of orthodontia payments- which is supposed to be half AFTER insurance pays. After I pointed this out she corrected the ledger. (Rhonda and my kids' stepmom became friends because my kids' stepbrother was receiving care there as well.) I actually paid and there ended up being an overage on one of my son's account. Rhonda sent a refund check for the money I paid to my kids' stepmom- who ended up making money on my son's braces!! After I pointed out that the refund was due to me as the parent who paid, I left the office. Minutes later, I received a call from Dr. Duvall's office. I missed it so I called back and it was Rhonda laughing and she said, "if you tell anybody I will deny saying this, but she came up here and she was so mad!!" She didn't realize she was telling this to me, and thought she was talking to my kids' stepmom ABOUT me. I immediately started recording the conversation and called her out for being so unprofessional and for sharing my children's health information with an unauthorized party. I let Dr. Duvall know and even sent him to copy of the fraudulent ledgers and the recording of the call. He indicated he was taking steps to move Rhonda out. He was very nice and offered to pay me the refund amount, which I declined on principle even though I needed it at the time. This crazy behavior by his staff member really shocked me because it was so ugly and petty, but I was assured he was taking care of it. I recently saw that despite her illegal and immoral behavior- Rhonda not only still worked there, she was promoted to office manager! I highly discourage choosing this office. Rhonda's behavior caused a myriad of issues for my coparenting relationship which ultimately impacted my kids negatively. There was absolutely no explanation for what she did. I took my daughter to Dr. Gordon and had a wonderful and professional experience.

In my opinion, I have an appointment until I cancel or just reschedule an appointment. My appointment should still stand. Unless they call me directly to tell me otherwise. They didn't leave voice mail. I want a cleaning every four months, they can't do that, even if I pay for it.
