Reggie is clearly experienced and has excellent judgment in terms of what needs to get done to achieve the look you're going for while addressing your concerns. For us, we were extremely focused on protecting our old growth trees so everything was done my hand to protect the root systems. We also wanted to maximize privacy and prep an area for more fencing--Reggie achieved both. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives advice any ISA arborist would as well. Artemio Perez might be good at some things, but he didn't work on my yard. He sent 3 young people…read morewith zero English, who arrived an hour late to clean my roof. They goofed off much of the day, according to my neighbor--although I thought one of the young men at least tried. They did not understand what Artemio and I had agreed on a few days prior. Finally, after about 5 hours, they called Artemio when my frustration rose up, and he denied several additional tasks that he and I had agreed on, including pressure washing my chimney top from the roof, and cleaning out my downspouts. They did end up cleaning my chimney top, using my own pressure washer, because they had not brought one. My house walls are covered in dirt from the roof cleaning, especially my front porch area. I was dismayed to find they had collected many piles of leaves from my driveway, which I had been saving for mulch. Even after I asked them to stop doing that, they still took away all my leaves! Now I will have to buy about $100 of mulch. They were supposed to wash my upper windows that I cannot reach. After they left, I discovered that my dirtiest upper window, which is the most visible upon approaching the front door, is still filthy. Instead they washed 2nd story windows from my porch and deck that I said I could clean. On top of it all, Artemio rudely told me I am "crazy." And today, I met with a professional roof cleaner to see about cleaning my downspouts. He showed me what a poor roof cleaning job I got from Perez Landscaping. I asked him about the stiff wire hand brushes they used, in addition to the typical brush brooms I've seen before. He told me those wire hand brushes could have loosened the granules in my roofing, and he also showed me places where the shingles had lifted up. Pretty disappointing. Perhaps the experience would have been much improved if I could speak Guatemalan, or if Artemio had been here to supervise and communicate. I will not call him again.

I hired Mendoza Landscaping to lay a load of topsoil in a sideyard where we had recently had a new…read moreseptic system drainfield installed, spread some white clover seed, and then apply a dusting of additonal topsoil to keep the seed safe from birds. Richy and his assistant arrived a mite late due to an unforseen but minor issue but communicated with us promptly concerning the delay. Once they arrived, they worked consistently to get the job done, weed whacking some residual grass and cleaning a section of asphalt. The job took a total of about seven hours in all and was well worth the price I paid - plus a well-earned tip. I'll be hiring these folks again for some additional land clearing, tree trimming, and yard waste removal and I have no doubt that they'll do equally good work this time as well.

Jill was very responsive and they came right out, we discussed the job and agreed upon a price and Benito got right to work. I told him he could let the mulch stay on the grass, and also pointed out where the property line ended in the side yard we share with the neighbor. He bagged all the mulch, raked what he cut with the weed whacker, and moved the neighbor's portion because he wanted to make sure everything looked good. I've referred him to two friends who have had all positive things to say about his work. I called him again on Saturday, and he did a fantastic job even with the crazy rain/sun combo that is Spring in Washington.

He's a very hard worker and in very high demand -- sometimes hard to get scheduled. I can't say enough good about him. If it can be done with hand tools, Benito can probably do it. Instead, these guys came and removed the branch, repaired our roof, and fixed the ceiling with such an expert patch job that you can't even tell where the hole was on our ceiling.
