Malmöhus Slott is a beautiful historic castle surrounded by a moat, with its brick exterior and traditional Scandinavian architecture giving it so much character. It's fascinating to think about how much history this place holds and how long it has been standing! We enjoyed walking around the outside, admiring the castle, and taking in the peaceful surroundings. The water surrounding the castle adds to its charm and makes it a lovely spot for photos. It's also interesting to see how different this castle looks compared to the grand, elaborate palaces you might typically imagine in Europe. It has more of a fortress-like appearance, which makes it unique! Although we didn't spend a lot of time here, it was a nice stop during our one-day adventure in Malmö. If you enjoy history, architecture, or simply exploring new places, I'd recommend adding Malmöhus Slott to your itinerary.

In the basement, there is a dungeon which is quite interesting. No windows therefore you get to see just how small the holding cells were and plenty of prisoner photos. Walking distance 10-15mins to downtown and quite unique place for family as well as solo to visit.

At the time of our visit it was decorated for Halloween (not a fan) and they also do a huge decoration for Christmas. But besides that you will find all kinds of things to see, do and then food to eat. The people I went with who live in Denmark were huge fans...I can see why. If I lived there I would be too.

In reality, Tivoli is an *amusement park* with a few dozen rides and games, several dozen restaurants, and many shops. At the ticket counter, an employee spoke politely with my husband and me in English. We bought two adult tickets for entry without rides. One of the first things that we did was to go to Tivoli's food hall, which I will review separately. Then we walked around the amusement park to see the rides, games, gift shops, and some plants and fountains. Overall, I think that Tivoli is a decent amusement park. It is not the largest and does not have the most modern rides, but you can still have a good time here.

The second glass was spoiled as well. They suggested we let it breathe. It was undrinkable and I had hoped for a refund or a glass of wine that could be enjoyed. All they could offer was their condolences that we did not care for the spoiled wine. I was told that it was a high acidic wine and that it wasn't for everyone. Why would that be your house wine then?

The Malmo Konstall is one of the largest modern art exhibition spaces in Europe. I went as part of Malmo Nordic 2013 to see "24 Spaces - A Cacophony", which featured quite a few non-commercial artists. The exhibition itself was great, but I also really enjoyed the exhibition space spread out over one sprawling floor. Also notable: a totally respectable English book selection in the store and a charming lunch spot / outdoor cafe. The vibe is relaxed; you can take your time or whizz through things, both models without judgment. Just how I like to take in my dose of art. Yelp note: a lot of construction around the Konsthall currently (summer 2013) but be persistent! It's harder to see the signage, but worth the persistent effort.

Ok, folks here are the rules: 1. No resy's first come, first serve 2. 100 patrons can fit, seating is limited 3. Hours: Monday-Thursday, Friday-Saturday opens at 8pm, show starts at 9pm. You need time to grab a drink from the bar, no table service. Beer @60 krones 4. Setting: intimate and cozy. 5. Get there at least 30 minutes before showtime to be guaranteed a seat, hands stamped and pay 140 krones for entrance fee 6. Then..... sit, back, enjoy and let the jazz seep through your veins as it did mine. 7. Check their website for shows and time. ( sorry Yelp, hours listed were incorrect) I saw a great show with Jules Fisher and his very talented quartet ( see video). Absolutely wonderful! This is the type of jazz club I love, people listening to great jazz, humming a familiar tune, clapping, bopping and enjoying the show in an intimate setting. Sunday is free thus tonight what I'm paying for is my drinks and listening to great music. The entire staff are wonderful, cool, friendly and love being here. Love jazz, love La Fontaine! Location: a bit difficult to find: take M2 or M3 to Gammel Strand station, find Hermes shop and walk all the way down until you find La Fontaine. It is before Comedy Zoo place. This Monday night was an open mic night with a featured opener singer playing his original music on an electric guitar. Not blues, but seemed the open-mic guests that showed up would've provided a more upbeat jazzy, perhaps rock flavor to the night. Too bad I couldn't stay. The prices for around here for their beers and mixed drinks seemed reasonable. This little bar area actually had a nice selection of drinks. There also is a small smoking area by the entrance.
