Went in for a few minutes, didn't have a ton of time. The staff that was there was so friendly and helpful, she picked out a few pieces that she thought I might like based on what I was wearing when I came in. I've never had someone do that and the pieces were very cute! I would love to go back when I have more time to explore and try things on read more

Popped in for the first time as I was browsing stores in the area and really liked the asthetic! It is right up my alley! Super cute variety of clothes and accessories and actually quite a large selection! Pricing is pretty reasonable for a boutique as well. Staff was friendly! Would definitely stop in again! read more

This store has the most beautiful dress options when I was looking for a wedding guest dress and the employee there was fantastic and so helpful and sweet!! I can't wait to come back. Definitely a higher price range for me (60-100 for most of the dresses) but amazing quality!! read more

Sloan - Mississippi location! - Women's Clothing Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Every time I come to Portland, I try and pay a visit to visit Sloan. The customer service is such high quality and all the stores are well laid out and inviting. The thing that strikes me the most is how welcoming all the employees are. You feel taken care of and not pressured to buy anything you don't want to. The brands they carry are high quality and fashionable. Highly recommend this store if you are in the Portland area! read more

Love this place! Great selection of trendy clothes along with basic styles you can wear year after year. Helpful (but not pushy) associates who always seem to know what will fit and look great! read more

I love going through Sloan. Even as a gift with a large chest and who is not a size 5 I can find stuff in this store easily. Also, the sales people are amazing and are more than happy to grab your true sizing for you to set you up for a try on modeling session to find the perfect outfit! Even if you aren't looking to expand your wardrobe, they have an amazing array of accessories or other little items. I was just looking around and found the best hair ties I have ever used which they sell 4 for $1 which is so cheap! I also found a super fun clear lipstick which turns your lips just a soft pink - I have seen this same lipstick elsewhere for $20-30 but here it was only $6! read more

Non-inclusive culture was my in-store experience. They definitely help folks of a certain esthetic. Be sure to wear your high waisted 501's and cropped top if you want help or to be even greeted. Not the spot for this femme lesbian who didn't have the esthetic. Never stepping foot in there again! Choose your local shopping wisely read more

First off, this is my favorite place to shop. Not only do they already have high quality stylish clothes but they are very diligent regarding Covid precautions. On top of that the salesperson Gina was super helpful and also found my sunglasses when I left them accidentally. She reached out immediately to let me know. So I got a super cute top, get my sunglasses back and felt safe shopping. Thank you! read more

Sloan is my absolute favorite place to shop on Mississippi! This shop always has exactly what I need to throw together an amazing outfit. From tops to dresses to jewelry to shoes and even beanies, they have the cutest of it all. Today I had a special occasion and needed help throwing together something great and Mackenzie saved the day! I called ahead, told her what I was looking for and that I was in a hurry and when I arrived she preselected all kinds of wonderful options for me. Thanks Sloan and Mackenzie, love you read more

This is a must visit boutique in Portland! Gina was so patient with us and provided great recommendations on outfits. Super excited about our new fashion and thank you Gina for such great service! read more

Fantastic customer support! I was in a pinch needing a new face mask ASAP and called the Mississippi location. Gina answered the phone and let me come in 20 min before the actual store opening to purchase one. She was so friendly and helpful and really made my experience shopping there great. read more

Jared is AMAZING!! She went out of her way to make my Sloan experience nothing short of perfect and even went as far as to track down the brand of a jumpsuit I'd been interested in that the store sold OVER A YEAR AGO! I highly recommend this store. Cute stylish clothes that'll leave you feeling posh and confident. Thank you Jared! read more

I love this reasonably priced store, they have a great selection and new things coming in all the time. The staff is super friendly and helpful with suggestions. I've shopped at Hawthorne for years and I'm really excited to have a location on my side of town. read more

I bought a $90 jacket that was so cheaply made. I tried on a S in the store, it was too tight, so I grabbed a M without trying it on and bought it. Got home, realized there was a hole in it, and they wouldn't let me return it so I exchanged it for a different size M, which they brought out to my car. When I got home and tried it on, I couldn't get my arm through the arm hole, because it was improperly sewed and the fabric was all bunched up in the arm hole. Again, I had to exchange. The fabric pilled after a few months. Honestly, you'd think I got it from Shein, but it was $90. Needless to say the product quality could use come improvement. read more

My absolute favorite boutique in Portland! Gina, the store manager has helped me out several times for several different occasions, and always provides amazing customer service and assists me in finding the perfect pieces. Everything I've gotten is high quality and lasts! Everyone is always super helpful and welcoming. Customer for life! read more

I absolutely LOVED my experience at Sloan Boutique! It was so much fun having somebody have the good stuff keep coming while I tried things on. I normally don't care for the suggestions, as I like choosing my own styled stuff but she got everything right! Out of 25 items I only didn't care for 1!!! I think thats pretty awesome for somebody who just met me. I don't live in the area but will do what I can to get back... the clothes I got are unique, adorable, good quality, and a good price for what I received. read more

This place has a really great selection of clothing with good prices and name brands. It's an easy go-to for me, but I have to give 3 stars because the sales people are RELENTLESS about giving you feedback, giving you additional options to try on and generally getting all up in your grill about what you're looking for. I know some people like that kind of help, but I would much prefer it if they would ask "can I help you with anything?" or "is it okay if I make some recommendations?" and wait and see if the customer actually wants to be followed around the store. Retail is all about reading the customer, and I feel that every time I go in there they read me the complete wrong way and refuse to leave me alone. read more

I've been to Sloan a couple times now and I absolutely love this store. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite (first hand) stores in town. First of all the clothing is adorable. Last time I went shopping there, me (late 20s) and my mom (late 50s) both left with outfits we were thrilled about. Secondly the customer service is unmatched by other clothing stores. The staff is super friendly (I've even been offered champagne once!). They are helpful with what finding flattering fits and are honest if items don't seem like a good match/fit. Example: I tried on a dress that I loved but the woman who was helping me was honest that it was a little too big and that the other dress I tried on was more flattering. I always recommend this store to friends! I'll be coming back here again for sure. read more

I've been shopping at Sloan since they opened their first shop - easily one of my favorite stores in Portland. Today I went in looking to enhance my wardrobe realizing that I had absolutely nothing to wear for the summer and having very little luck in my usual spots. I probably spent way too much time in there and definitely spent more money than I should have, but the selection right now is awesome and Jenny (the saleswoman helping me today) was AMAZING. She knew just how to help me, suggesting things that were exactly what I was looking for and some I never would have tried otherwise. She helped in a way that gave me space to shop how I wanted but also super helpful and friendly. Best shopping experience I've had in a long time, thanks Jenny! read more

I typically like to be left alone while I shop, but here I actually enjoyed the attention from the salespeople. Both of the women working when I went in seemed to know their merchandise well, and made recommendations for pieces I normally would overlook. They even got my sizes right without asking, and I liked their choices even better than my own. Would definitely recommend! read more

I enjoyed my time at Sloan Boutique. I live in the neighborhood and decided to swing by one day. The first thing I noticed was how helpful and friendly the sales gals are when you are shopping. Normally I like to shop and be left alone, but they knew how to help me without seeming pushy or annoying. They suggested some items and put them in the dressing room along with a few of the items I had picked up. I liked that I could try them on if I wanted, but it didn't seem pushy. They have trendy and fun clothes and unique shoes and accessories. I'll be back! read more

I went for the first time on the recommendation from a friend, and whoa was I impressed! They have a great, versatile selection (with a wide range of prices, too), and an easy-going, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I was helped by Catherine, who is truly great at what she does, and obviously legitimately loves it. I went in with a tall order - as a recent breast cancer survivor, I have harder than average limitations to what I can wear, both with my bionic boobs and chemo-induced weight gain. She was sensitive to my insecurities, but also gently got me out of my comfort zone and into some clothes I probably wouldn't have picked but that I really loved! The store got busy while I was in there, but she remained attentive the whole time. And she kept checking in, to make sure she wasn't overdoing it, bothering me, giving me stuff I hated, etc. She was truly awesome, and I had to write this because I am really grateful for the way she turned my dread of trying on clothes into a really fun experience. Thanks, Catherine, and thank you Sloane! read more
