I love going through Sloan. Even as a gift with a large chest and who is not a size 5 I can find stuff in this store easily. Also, the sales people are amazing and are more than happy to grab your true sizing for you to set you up for a try on modeling session to find the perfect outfit! Even if you aren't looking to expand your wardrobe, they have an amazing array of accessories or other little items. I was just looking around and found the best hair ties I have ever used which they sell 4 for $1 which is so cheap! I also found a super fun clear lipstick which turns your lips just a soft pink - I have seen this same lipstick elsewhere for $20-30 but here it was only $6! read more

Sloan is my absolute favorite place to shop on Mississippi! This shop always has exactly what I need to throw together an amazing outfit. I bought a $90 jacket that was so cheaply made. I tried on a S in the store, it was too tight, so I grabbed a M without trying it on and bought it. Got home, realized there was a hole in it, and they wouldn't let me return it so I exchanged it for a different size M, which they brought out to my car. When I got home and tried it on, I couldn't get my arm through the arm hole, because it was improperly sewed and the fabric was all bunched up in the arm hole. Again, I had to exchange. The fabric pilled after a few months. Honestly, you'd think I got it from Shein, but it was $90. Needless to say the product quality could use come improvement. read more

This place has a really great selection of clothing with good prices and name brands. It's an easy go-to for me, but I have to give 3 stars because the sales people are RELENTLESS about giving you feedback, giving you additional options to try on and generally getting all up in your grill about what you're looking for. I know some people like that kind of help, but I would much prefer it if they would ask "can I help you with anything?" or "is it okay if I make some recommendations?" and wait and see if the customer actually wants to be followed around the store. Retail is all about reading the customer, and I feel that every time I go in there they read me the complete wrong way and refuse to leave me alone. read more

I've been to Sloan a couple times now and I absolutely love this store. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite (first hand) stores in town. First of all the clothing is adorable. Last time I went shopping there, me (late 20s) and my mom (late 50s) both left with outfits we were thrilled about. Secondly the customer service is unmatched by other clothing stores. The staff is super friendly (I've even been offered champagne once!). They are helpful with what finding flattering fits and are honest if items don't seem like a good match/fit. Example: I tried on a dress that I loved but the woman who was helping me was honest that it was a little too big and that the other dress I tried on was more flattering. I always recommend this store to friends! I'll be coming back here again for sure. read more

Today I went in looking to enhance my wardrobe realizing that I had absolutely nothing to wear for the summer and having very little luck in my usual spots. I probably spent way too much time in there and definitely spent more money than I should have, but the selection right now is awesome and Jenny (the saleswoman helping me today) was AMAZING. She knew just how to help me, suggesting things that were exactly what I was looking for and some I never would have tried otherwise. I enjoyed my time at Sloan Boutique. I live in the neighborhood and decided to swing by one day. The first thing I noticed was how helpful and friendly the sales gals are when you are shopping. Normally I like to shop and be left alone, but they knew how to help me without seeming pushy or annoying. I went for the first time on the recommendation from a friend, and whoa was I impressed! They have a great, versatile selection (with a wide range of prices, too), and an easy-going, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I was helped by Catherine, who is truly great at what she does, and obviously legitimately loves it. I went in with a tall order - as a recent breast cancer survivor, I have harder than average limitations to what I can wear, both with my bionic boobs and chemo-induced weight gain. She was sensitive to my insecurities, but also gently got me out of my comfort zone and into some clothes I probably wouldn't have picked but that I really loved! The store got busy while I was in there, but she remained attentive the whole time. And she kept checking in, to make sure she wasn't overdoing it, bothering me, giving me stuff I hated, etc. She was truly awesome, and I had to write this because I am really grateful for the way she turned my dread of trying on clothes into a really fun experience.
