The past 3 times i have been here have been a complete disappointment. The bread tasted burnt, and they charged me 2 dollars to get fried pickles instead of fries. They only gave me like 8 pickles. Very disappointed and will probably not go back now. read more

If you like Raising Canes then you'll love this place. Their chicken is the same style in that it's lightly breaded tenders and kinda tastes the same to me. I'm not a fan of the light breading cuz I prefer a hearty crunch if I'm eating something fried. Their honey mustard and slims sauce is really good, as well as their fries! They seem very stingy with the soda though cuz mine was pretty watered down and more soft ice than soda in the cup. I've heard their jar desserts are really good though!! read more

Slim Chickens is the best fast food chicken option in my opinion. This is my review, so it's clearly my opinion. I love that there are healthy options and just more options than the "other chicken places". I had the smoky chicken wrap. It came in a cheddar jalapeño tortilla with tangy bbq sauce on the tenders with cheese and lettuce and served with ranch. It was a pleasant surprise of tender chicken and a fantastic flavor. The people working are very efficient. I went another time to another location and there was a line out the door for dine- and a line of cars wrapped around the building for the drive-through. It was a bit of a wait the second time for our food, but that was to be expected. With so many people in the restaurant, we weren't bothered one bit with the wait time. Both times, it was a great experience. I will be telling everyone I know about this new place. Delicious. read more

Never been to Slim chickens but it's a southern twist and little but better menu that is comparable to Zaxbys and Cains except the good news it's not all chicken baskets lol. So I thought I'd try it. I had the five piece chicken tenders with fries and sweet tea along with buttermilk ranch and Slim's dip. All was exceptionally good other than the Slim's dip which I didn't like. The fries surprised me. They tasted so fresh. There seemed like there were a million of them which is way more than any one person should try to eat. The chicken was juicy and served so piping hot that it was necessary to let it cool before eating it. So, all said, I'd go there again. read more

I ordered the 3 tenders with Fries and Texas toast with ranch for my dipping sauce. I was in a rush so I didn't bother to look at their other side option. The food was fresh and the drive threw girl was friendly. I loved the chicken tenders. Most people are complaining that they aren't crunchy , which is true. However I do not like crunchy tenders so that's a good thing for me. They aren't crunchy but rather lightly breaded. The fries were hot and fresh but a bit too salty. I will preface this review with this...I appreciate value just as much as the taste of the food...especially in a fast food or casual dining category. This place is overpriced and does not have a whole lot of options for kids. They have one kids meal for $5 which includes fries and 3 chicken tenders. Most meals are $9-10 and only include one side. They only have 3 options essentially...salad..wings or tenders. If you want to add a side like okra its $1.50 more. So for 11.50 you can have 8 wings and a side of okra. Taste- wings honestly tasted just like the wings at wingstop or any other wing place. Toast was good. Fries were okay. My husband had salad and for $8 was okay..it was basically greens with grilled chicken on top. So to sum up..we will not be back as a family but would consider buying wings if we needed something quick for a party etc. read more

Love the concept. The fries are some of the best the tenders while small are great and the service is good enough for a fast food establishment........ Now why 3 stars 2 words "Fried pickles" literally one of the worst things I have ever tasted. Its fried pickles you have a lot of options and what ever option you all choose do the opposite. The wife and I have been underwhelmed with all the chicken places around but we were driving by and were hungry so we figured we'd give this place a shot. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the food came fast, hot and fresh. I had the fried chicken tenders which weren't overly battered and had a good mix of seasoning. The wife had the buffalo chicken wrap and was pleased with its freshness and glad it had a bit of a kick. The fries too were hot and well seasoned. We were feeling good so we decided to splurge on a "jar dessert" which had brownies, pudding, whipped cream and slices of toffee on top. It was definitely worth it. Tried slim chicken during their first week. Great customer service and friendly staff, I really liked their slims sauce, mango habanero sauce and a spicy ranch (I can't remember the exact name). Had the tenders, they were nice and steaming hot, had the fries for my side and holy salt lick batman! The cook was VERY HEAVY HANDED to the point were we couldn't eat them. The texas toast was also extremely salty.The tenders were great, love the light breading, that was the beat part. We sat in a booth by the windows and y'all need to get some kind of window shades I couldn't see my hand in front of my face the sun was shining in so bright. Slim Chickens just opened up in my neighborhood and I came in for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! The building was well designed and decorated with big open windows all around. The menu is modern and everything seemed more or less healthy. I had the Buffalo and blue cheese chicken sandwich and wings and they were both really good. I scarfed down all my food: three tenders, three wings, fries, and toast. I even told my husband I wasn't "hungry". Maybe that was just me being a girl. Slim Chickens taste like DQ, Whataburger (tender meal), and Pluckers had a threesome! Take the best from each restaurant and mix it all together! Tenders are a little on the smaller side, but I think it's bc they're not as heavily battered as other places. Though they are a little bland they taste great with the sauces! I'm not a fan of salty tenders. Wings: tasted just like Pluckers. Delish! Toast: What girl doesn't love bread? Toast tasted like a mix of Whataburger and DQ. Gravy: thick and flavorful. My wife and I revisited Slim Chickens. I had the Wrap Plate and she had the Wing Plate both with french fries. My Wrap was very good. great place and tons of options. being Type 2 Diabetic, its hard to find places where you can get non fried food. i've been to Slim Chickens 3 times and the grilled chicken strips are great with a variety of sauces. having options as far as sides is great too. the Red potato salad is great and the mac and cheese is great. all of the sides taste freshly made. Definitely recommend this place! i went to buy a variety of just sauces and they gave them to me for free. very nice of them. little things like that in customer service means a lot. will definitely be back in the near future read more

Neat little restaurant with food that is addicting. Inside is nice and spacious with plenty of seating area and nice large TVs. Large outdoor patio area. Drive thru is often a bit of a wait but the food comes out hot and delicious so I'm never impatient on that aspect.
