I was going to purchase several hibiscus from them even though they sold me a defective item until I hear them openly bad mouthing me for wanting to return a $60 solar lamp that didn't even work. Definitely will not be supporting this business any longer, and it's a shame because I enjoyed shopping there, but it's okay I won't shop somewhere for inconveniencing someone to do their job.

But that's because their space is limited, I think. They do often have a very good selection of different species, though, that's for sure. The reason they're the best is because of the amount of care and attention they put into those plants. The reason they're the best is because the lady and her daughter that work there will go out of their way to answer any question you might have about anything they sell and they are very well educated on the plants they sell. In fact, they won't just answer your questions, they'll educate you on those plants as well. And they'll do it very nicely and you will feel as though actually learned something while you were there. They LOVE gardening and caring for plants and it shows. The nursery is located on a residential lot and the whole place just seems like a homeowner's dream garden. I imagine that's exactly what they were aiming for. ;) There is a mighty oak at the entrance and I really wish they sold the kind of tree people faces that she has on it, but she told me it was quite old and can't get them anymore. I haven't needed anything for my garden in a couple years because many of my plants just keep coming back, but when I do require something I will always stop here FIRST. If they don't have it, they will tell you when/if they expect to get what you need and you can come back and be assured that you will be getting the best specimens and that they were handled with care before you bought them. When you walk in, you'll find one of these nice ladies either working with a customer or caring for the plants. Never just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. Always helping out or doing something around the nursery. They will help you with whatever you need. Specific questions, general care of any plant, even if they don't sell it, and they're even nice enough to give advice to you on gardening care at home or about trees or plants that you already have. What I'm trying to say here is, their customer service is top notch and goes above and beyond what you'd expect from a business because caring for plants isn't just their business, it's obviously a hobby and a labor of love for them and that is why you need to start HERE when you need something for your garden.

I called & facebook messaged every nursery in town and up to an hour and a half away to try and find these special plants! The only nursery that replied back with a "We do have a hindu rope plant" was Wild Thymes! And to my surprise they were a mere 30 minutes from my house! I'd heard of Wild Thymes before, at a Covington Farmer's Market years ago my best friend and I had purchased air plants from them. Boy am I lucky that they invited me onto their property to buy some BEAUTIFUL and RARE plants! Not only is the property & greenhouse LUSH and WONDERFULLY GREEN, the owners are incredible and were SO MUCH FUN to talk with! I enjoyed every second of my time in their secret garden! They have an enormous collection of cactus, sanseveria, and quite a few begonias. There are plenty of different sizes to choose from, and they're all special plants, taken care of by people who truly love them. I'm actually sentimental about this place and I plan to go back a bunch!

Not kid friendly, Overgrown fields with holes, ant hills, poisen ivy, weeds, insects. 8-10 foot trees are scar faced and bad. The ones that look good have sold signs on them. Did not look at the condition of the small trees. Also note, that there may not be bathrooms available. When my husband inquired to such the owner asked him what number he had to do. (I kid you not) He then told him to just go on in the bushes. I am glad that I did not have to go. The farms we usually go to were closed due to the drought this year. They are manicured and have stuff for the kids. This tree farm is not like that no matter what you told on the phone. It should be called Sketchy Pond.
