The next day (Sunday) traveling 60 miles the skid plate fell and scraped on the highway until I got to a mechanic that was opened at the Walmart auto center in West Plains , Missouri. The Walmart mechanic removed what was left of the skid plate at no charge , but I gave him a $20 for his help. The following Monday I stopped by the Mr. Fast Lube to ask for a full refund of the oil change in place of replacing the skid plate and was refused by the same two attendants who waited on me a few days before. They ask for my name and phone. Never got a call from the owner. I would never ever recommend this company for any work due to the two attendants who refuse to help make good and to let me know the skid plate was missing screws and didn't offer to remove or offer to replace once I got more screws to secure it correctly. So a big thumbs down for neglecting the under carriage of my car. They probably threw my number in trash. I hope this review will have an impact to those considering using this business.

However, my two visits to the service department will keep me from ever purchasing from them again. First visit was in 2023. Rattle in the seat. Service tech couldn't hear anything. Put a service department "manager" in my car and drove him. He heard it. His way of fixing it was to jerk the seat until it didn't do it anymore. It was fixed so that was fine. Just left from my 2nd visit in two years. Rattle in the sunroof/moonroof. We live a mile down a gravel road so this is very annoying. Service tech only hears a Rattle from the license plate. Same service "manager" tells us this. He also says they don't have a gravel road nearby to drive it down. It's Mt. Home. There are gravel roads everywhere leading to the lake. I ask to speak to his boss. First thing out of his bosses mouth is something about what the warranty covers. I said I wasn't concerned about the warranty. I was concerned about the Rattle in my sunroof that they can't hear. I mention the gravel road issue again. He also says that "if only they had a gravel road close by...." I took my keys and left. When a customer tells you that the Rattle in the car is so bad that you can't ignore it, why would you not attempt to do something more than drive the car on paved roads? As I told them, we will not purchase another vehicle from them. And, I was looking very seriously at the beautiful Expedition in the front.

disclaimer, long review:…read more On Monday July 15, 2019, we dropped my Jeep Grand Cherokee off at Ultimate Auto. We initially took it in for basic maintenance before taking it on a road trip to make sure it was in solid condition. We filled out the form listing we wanted the oil changed, service transmission, check why my check engine light was on (call with quote before doing anything), check brakes, and check front end that was squeaking (call with quote before doing anything). We wanted the bare minimum done to this vehicle. We wanted it to be safe to drive, but nothing that was unnecessary or something we could do without for a little while longer (we already knew this would be a pricey tab just doing the minimum). Come Thursday July 18, 2019, we pick up my car around noon. My car runs great, but upon leaving and studying our $2000 receipt, we see a ($400-$500) charge for "4-wheel drive maintenance". This didn't sound familiar to my husband who had been the one communicating with the service techs and other Ultimate Auto employees. A few hours later I went back to Ultimate (originally for a different reason than this mystery charge), but while I was there I asked what the charge was and what all it entailed. The man helping me was extremely kind and helpful. He explained what it was and told me that the person who had done it (Kelby?) wasn't going to be back until the following Tuesday and that they would have him call my husband when he got back and could possibly issue a refund for that service since it was unnecessary and we, once again, wanted the bare minimum done to the car. Flash forward to Tuesday July 23, 2019, my husband was in contact with Ultimate Auto regarding the refund. They told him that they would refund us and that an email would be sent to us for proof that our refund went through. It never came. Wednesday July 24, 2019, my husband calls Ultimate Auto again because we never received an email verifying our refund that was supposedly sent the following day. The person he talked to claimed to be the person who did the "4 wheel drive maintenance" and stated that they WEREN'T giving us our refund and how they're looking into it more and pulling the phone records. **okay, pause. What kind of crookedness is this? Especially from what is suppose to be a professional, reputable business. To say you're issuing a refund on Tuesday and then (without even notifying the customer who is waiting on the refund) you decide "oh, never mind" on Wednesday??? Anyways, a couple hours later my husband received another calling saying how they won't be issuing a refund and that we are welcome to come in and listen to the phone records for a "peace of mind". -this is currently where we're standing as of an hour ago. I do plan on going in myself on Friday and listening to this precious recording. If they have my husband recorded saying "YES. Service the 4-wheel drive" then so be it. We'll happily move on. If I do not hear confirmation of the "4-wheel drive maintenance" then I will be moving on to upper management. But, for a business to state on multiple occasions that they will issue a refund and then never do it is just sorry and extremely poor business (not to mention them doing unnecessary working). Regardless, I will never go back to or recommend Ultimate Auto Group to anyone I know.
