I'm really disappointed at this business. I bought a voucher from Living Social for a week's worth of food. I'm soooo angry and disappointed. Reasoning: 1. As soon as I got my voucher, about 2-3 weeks ago. I called to schedule a delivery. They told me the first they can deliver is at oct 7. but i'll be out of town, so I scheduled it for the 12th. Anyways the 12th rolls around and no delivery. the 13th rolls by and tried calling throughout the day with the number on the website. Uh. YOU CAN'T LEAVE MESSAGES? oh wtf. I finally got to them today and they're like I can't find the order. oh ok. fine i'll fill out another survey. 2. An 818 number calls and when I answer, hangs up the phone. After two calls they finally leave a message and said that they have concerns about my address because they don't deliver. EXCUSE ME? 3. I called back and Brenda said they don't deliver in Rosemead. I told her that my city is on the "delivery" routes. she's like are you sure? let me check and discuss with the drivers and all. She comes back to the phone and she said, sorry, we had to fire the last driver... and our web people are lazy (ok. that's wonderful for business,.. badmouthing your employees) and you wonder why they can't live up their standards and merit the 1 star review. 4. She tells me that they go to Alhambra, and Pasadena, but they can't go out to Rosemead. Mind you, that's another 10 minutes to where I am. I'm a hop, skip to Alhambra but that's too far? ok. i ask if they can go to downtown LA for delivery. uh. no we don't deliver there and there's too much traffic and yada yada yada i'll had enough bs for today. and you can shove my voucher and PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE. i will be report you and your business to the BBB read more

I too, got the $99 Living Social deal. Scheduling delivery wasn't too difficult, even though they did tell me they couldn't start delivery for 2-weeks. The 20-meals offer is totally false advertising. Each meal would include a little veggie or fruit pack that I suppose is for "snacks" But considering that most of the meals left me still hungry, I cannot imagine subsisting on these "Meals" alone daily. Which brings to the point that the meals are designed to help the eater lose weight. Okay, but since they never asked me how much I weigh to begin with, how do they know my optimal daily caloric intake? The portions all seemed to be off. There were meals that left me stuffed, and some that made me want to run to In-n-Out. For the record, I weigh about a buck and a quarter, and if I'm starving, then I can't imagine being a 250-lb man!!! Now THE FOOD. This is the part that earns the 1-star rating. I read Ashley's raving review and am now thinking that all the discount Living Social folks got some kind of lower tiered meals because I cannot imagine anybody paying $297/wk for this service. In the 5-days I received what I would call 10-meals total. Of those 10 meals, I got turkey patties twice (as "turkey meat loaf" and with bbq sauce). Sliced oranges twice. Sauteed broccoli & carrots twice. Bbq sauce on food three times. There is no coherence to the meals. For example, there was a meal with some kind of Asian chicken, a salad with Italian dressing, then some random low-cal dessert. All the meals are like this. They're kinda like when I make my kids' lunches. "Hmmm... what's in the fridge? Throw it in and add some ranch dressing." All the meals come with a salad and they are all variations of leafy lettuce with garnish (parsley, cut peppers or tiny broccoli florets) or cabbage with one of the above garnishes and a dressing du jour. Most of the food is bland and unimaginative. The desserts are the only thing that is a little out of the box (so to speak). Creating low-cal desserts that taste good is not an easy task. There is a dessert with every dinner. They're hit or miss. The puddings are tasty, but the cheesecake is torture. Quite frankly, I'd rather forgo the dessert to have tastier and more satisfying meals. The salad meant for the 5th dinner of my service was a broccoli slaw that was already way past its prime. It was stinky, slimy and turning black in parts when I opened it. Which leads me to the complete gut rut I had on the second day of service when I had only eaten Slenderzone the day before. I chalked it up to my system not used to so much raw veggies (or raw cabbage) in a day, but after opening the rancid broco slaw, I'm wondering if it was just the integrity of the food. The DELIVERY. The meals come in the non-microwavable containers and the protein and veggie are always packed separately, so you have to toss the containers and put them on a plate to nuke. Then all the boxes are labeled "nuke for 30 seconds." Raw slab of fish. Really? I've tried some other delivery services and they package in nuke-able containers with the entire meal inside. This is much easier to reheat (part of the selling point is ease of use) and it doesn't clutter your fridge with a ton of 1/4 filled plastic containers when you get a delivery. The bottom line, all these meals were something you can easily throw together yourself, make in bulk, freeze, reuse. None of the meals would qualify as "gourmet" unless all that means is a decorative piece of parsley. For the price, you could do better ordering takeout/delivery from a restaurant. read more

The food is delicious but the service is a HUGE and frustrating disappointment. I also used the Living Social deal for this. Gripes: 1) I could have sworn the deal said 20 meals for $99, but I only got 10 meals for $99. I definitely wouldn't have purchased this had I know it would be $10/meal!!! 2) My mother also bought this deal (we live separately). They didn't tell her until after she had already purchased the deal and signed up for the meals that they do not deliver to Redondo Beach. Their only solution was to offer to deliver her food to me, since I live within the delivery area, and she could pick it up from me. It completely defeats the purpose to have a delivery service when she still has to pick it up!!! They offered her NO compensation or apologies for this HUGE inconvenience. 3) They can't get the delivery address straight! Twice they called me saying they were outside my work address. I gave them EXPLICIT directions to deliver to my home address. The second time they called me, it was at 11:30 p.m. I find it completely unacceptable to wake someone up at that time! I told the delivery man he would have to deliver the next day because I would not take a delivery at 11:30p.m. He showed up at my work the next morning with two huge bags of food- one for me and one for my mother. The food was clearly going bad and had not been properly refrigerated the night before (the delivery man had taken it home...) I don't know how your office refrigerators are, but mine do not have enough room for two large bags of food! I called Slender Zone and asked them to deliver me two new fresh bags of food because the food smelled rotten. They called me back to tell me "Oh, the food is fine; it's just the different foods that give it that smell." I'm very angry with their poor service, the expense of the food, and that I spent more time chasing the delivery man down than it was worth. I could have cooked my own food (for cheaper!) in the amount of time I wasted on this TERRIBLE service. Slender Zone, here's something to consider: When you deliver someone rotten food, wake your client up at 11:30 p.m. and make one of your clients drive 15 miles to pick up food THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED, expect to be blasted on Yelp...and everywhere else I can gab about your crappy service. Get your act together, Slender Zone. Yes you have good food, but your HORRIBLE service makes it so that I would never use your service again, nor recommend this to ANYONE. read more

I got a 5 day trial through Bloomspot for lunch/dinner/dessert. I don't think I can fully recommend Slender Zone. Some of the food is tasty. Some of the food is not very good at all. Let me preface this by saying that I have had meal delivery for weight loss previously with other companies (paying full price, not with a deal). And so I do have a standard which I hoped would be met with Slender Zone. I only aim to lose 5 pounds and get leaner when I do this sort of thing, just fyi. The food and freshness is not consistent, unfortunately. So i don't think I would feel comfortable paying the regular price and continuing this service. The first day the food was pretty tasty and fresh and the dessert was a chocolate cake that was truly astounding it was so good. Every dessert after has been kind of awful: Strawberry mousse (fake tasting, god awful), orange mousse pie (again fake flavor, gross) and one night the dessert was orange jello. It was kind of embarrassing. It is weird that the chocolate cake was SO good and nothing else came close after that. As I said, some of the food is tasty. I didn't "hate" anything (except the aforementioned desserts). However, one of my dinners came with a spinach salad that had 100% turned: Yellow and/or slimy leaves. Sorry, Slender Zone, this just should not happen. My other qualm is the cheap and COPIOUS plastic packaging. The other company I experienced used much better quality packaging...stuff that you could actually reuse. Slender zone has so much plastic to trash or recycle, I just feel bad about it. I wish I liked it more, as the woman I dealt with on the phone was very nice and accommodating. I just don't feel I can recommend. Thanks for the deal But I recommend Slender Zone ups their consistency and quality and packaging if they want to run with the big boys. Today, I got my first day of delivery from Chef's Diet and so far it is night and day. The food for the day comes in a square cooler with everything neatly arranged for the day and a printed out menu on top. Slender Zone had to two or three days of food in one cooler bag and each of the day's meals wrapped AGAIN in another plastic bag (more plastic) and sometimes (not always) items would be on their sides, spilled, smushed etc. Chef's Diet's meals and snacks also seem to be at a higher quality just looking at them. If I'm going to pay for someone to make and send me healthy meals I need it to be really worth the money. I haven't investigated what the price difference is between SZ and CD but I am already leaning towards CD based on what I've seen today. read more

I'm a positive Yelper so please note it is w/ heavy heart but a sense of duty that I write a negative review. I too purchased the $99 deal through Bloomspot. I'm already a lean and active person but was drawn to what should have been convenience/value. As a busy person the idea of having gourmet meals made and dropped off for me at $10/ea lunch and dinner sounded great! But alas, you actually sometimes get less than what you pay for.... In my case they actually started my delivery a full day before it was scheduled such that I was not home nor even in the neighborhood when they called to be buzzed in. Fortunately I can buzz ppl in remotely so that he could have just left the bag by my door. I called my neighbor and asked if she could go grab it and keep it in her fridge til the morning and she said sure. I was shocked when she called back to say how lucky I was that the bag was still there, as he had dropped it off not at my door, not even in my lobby, but on the street! And when I say street, I mean feet from Sunset blvd, lots of ppl willing to walk off with a bag full of food. Anyway, I called the office about this and the sweet receptionist was apologetic and said she would speak to the delivery guy. Fine. So I began my eating regimen, thank goodness I had eaten a full breakfast! Lunch on day one was sloppy joe and iceburg lettuce w/ carrots and imitation bacon bits, very reminiscent of high school cafeteria food in the 80's. Plus the portion was so small that as a daily gym goer I was famished 45 minutes later and actually opened dinner too. That happened to be even more disappointing than lunch (sloppy joe was yummy just very very small). Vegetable soup that was so tasteless and separated in the container it visually looked gross and totally unappealing. Upon eating, first impression was correct. For dessert, raspberry jello w/ a slimy old strawberry on top. Seriously?! My gourmet food delivery includes jello and imitation bacon bits?!!!!!! I could go on and on but instead I will just tell you that the delivery man, for a second time, left the food outside my building and the food was volatile at best. I'm giving stars for 2 very good desserts (berry cake and almond cheesecake) and a salmon dish that was also tasty, albeit again such a small portion that I was left hungry. All told I had to throw out several vegetable dishes (incl squash which was on my "I dont like" list and broccoli so old it had browned in the cup) and two soups because they seemed to just be pureed vegetables w/o any flavoring whatsoever. I also had to toss today's main course "white fish" because it did not smell right. I probably did lose weight because I hadn't grocery shopped that week expecting I didn't need to, but it couldn't be healthy or satisfying weight loss due to its extreme caloric restriction. The meals were not worth the price and I feel I would've been better off spending $99 at Whole Foods and taking an evening preparing my own creations to freeze. This is my review after trying 5 days of their food delivery service. The food is tasty and healthy except that their concept of a healthy diet does not normally involve breakfast. A special request has to be made to include breakfast but you only find out after receiving the first delivery. 4 out of 5 desserts were made of jello topped with something akin to buttercream. Yes. JELLO. It wasn't even good jello. Even the slice of "fresh strawberry pie" was made of jello and, maybe enough fresh strawberry slivers to complete one whole strawberry. (I must say that the cheesecake was really good though.) Most importantly, their food safety practice in questionable. Why do I say this? First you must understand that they don't deliver every day. Late Monday night, they delivered two-days worth of food (4 meals) . The insulated bag was sitting outside until I got up on Tuesday. It was in an insulated bag with some cooling gel packs which were already liquified inside and nowhere near icy cold by the time I retrieved the delivery. You must also know that each meal is hermetically packed in a knotted plastic grocery bag so I just opted to grab the bags I needed for the day and surprise myself at each meal by cutting or tearing the bag open. (If time allows, I will spend a minute or two trying to unknot the bag and have a 50% success rate.) So come Wednesday my dinner, which was delivered Monday night, was now at least 48 hours old. I dealt with the grocery bag and discovered that barbecue chicken was on the menu. I followed the instructions to microwave for 30 seconds then added another 15 seconds after deciding I wanted it to be warmer. The sauce was really good but when I got halfway through the chicken, I encountered an unpleasant slimy texture in my mouth. I took a closer look at the chicken under the sauce and saw PINK. Not red... pink. Which means UNCOOKED GELATINOUS RAW chicken meat. I didn't even bother microwaving it again. I just couldn't eat it. I saved the remaining dinner and emailed SlenderZone to tell them that I was concerned about my 2-day old UNCOOKED CHICKEN and offered to have them pick up the leftover chicken as proof. This is the response I received: "Due to the nature of our food service, proteins are often cooked only 80% to allow for additional cooking time in the microwave. Due to the different frequency's of microwave machines, some people need to put the food in the microwave for a longer time. After 20 years of business we have NEVER had a food issue regarding freshness and edibility of our products. There is no need for you to return the unused portion of your dinner. We sincerely hoped you enjoyed the experience of SlenderZone". No, actually, I did not enjoy the experience of SlenderZone. read more

Living Social voucher user here or something for $95 for 5 days of lunch and dinner. I looked at their website and thought I will try that as I'm bored with cooking and wanted some inspiration and to get back into regular portion sizes and not have to think about it. So far everyone has been nice to deal with. The first delivery arrived after 10:30pm on Monday night. I was told that it would be between 5pm and 10pm but closer to 5pm. I arranged someone to be at my house from 5pm to 6:15pm and I rushed home from work to be there at 6:15pm. So I waited and missed a 7:30pm exercise class so I was a little annoyed but it still wasn't delivered before 10pm. I cut the driver some slack but I wanted to be in bed already! I unpacked the food... From memory Lunch 1 - turkey dippers with lettuce and sauce + a salad Dinner 1 - pollo asada with tomato and yogurt dressing, salad and some kind of white squash I hoped was potato (this was ok) and for dessert some fake strawberry cheese cake which wasn't so good. Lunch 2 - Salad and beef chilli. (Chilli was beefy so way better than Chilli Johns - see other review!) Dinner 2 - salad and something I can't recall. Desert was some nice chocolate minty cake - it was yum! All serves were nice standard sizes and what you should be eating ie not american portions ie small. Plenty of protein so I stayed full but when I nuked something in the container it melted. Note to self - put on a plate. Next delivery on Wednesday arrived after 11pm when I was in bed seeing I get up early to go to they gym before work!! I had come to the realization that there was going to be no delivery. No phone call apart from waking me up to deliver it. Though I was told there was a big accident on the 405... Thought it came from NoHo near where I live!!!?? Still benefit of the doubt :) Lunch 3 - Salad and ground meat to make a tostada salad with LOTS of cheese. I ate the mixed berries for dessert that night for a morning snack. Both good. Dinner 3 - salad, BBQ chicken with lots of cheese and cabbage and bell peppers as the veg. And a orange jello dessert. Twice in one day - yeah I know and I'm not a dessert person but I wanted to eat it! Lunch 4 - cucumber salad and egg salad on a lettuce leaf. I ate the brownie for desert here too but it was soggy and didn't taste so fab. This is where I'm at. Not terribly thrilled with that is left in the fridge. There is a vegetarian fritata and salad and spaghetti squash for dinner tonight (ok this looks good) and tomorrow for lunch there is a tub of peach yogart and a salad... Dinner tomorrow is something with mushrooms and I think ground beef. I would have picked having food Monday to Friday and not included the weekend but I don't think that's an option. Having to wait up for delivery sucks and I'm probably not gonna order again... The food wasn't that great but I'm sure people who eat crap lose a lot of weight. Slender Zone service is a fantastic one! The program is so easy to follow that I do not feel it's a diet at all. The proteins that they provide for the meals, as well as the snacks are so sufficient that I do not feel hungry, yet being able to loose weight; of course, not to mention only 30-minutes aerobic daily attached :-). Over all, this program makes it so easy for me to lose weight, which I never thought I could get the result that I have achieved today--hooray, I have lost 20 lbs. (on the program for the 3rd month), and the ball is still rolling! The food is so fantastic - I can never get bored - the variety is excellent. SlenderZone food ranges from uninspired to unappetizing, portions are very small. Salad lettuce was wilted and brown. Desserts inedible. I am enjoying SlenderZone! I've done their program for 2 and 1/2 weeks and already, I've lost 6 pounds. The food has great taste, but SlenderZone's focus is on diabetics, those who watch their weight, and people who don't have time to cook. Nonetheless, it's a healthier alternative to most fast food restaurants. The desserts have a unique taste, for they don't have sugarMy personal favorite is the tiramisu cheesecake. Me and my husband utilized the Slenderzone program after the birth of our first child to lose some baby weight and found the program so easy especially that I did not have to think of meal planning while taking care of my 4 month old. The food was great and the deserts amazing. I lost about 15 pounds which got me back into my skinny jeans! Recently after the birth of my second child I re-signed up and could not believe the greatness could get better!! The food is so freaking good. I have to admit I wish the portions were a bit bigger (I lick the containers...don't tell them though :0). But I am clear here that I have a goal and the owner, Sharon, is always available to help keep me on track with ideas of how to stay focused (often reminding me of how wonderful it was to slip on those jeans). The menu varies and I even got jelly beans marked "Legal" which was fun and made me feel like a kid. The salads are my favorite thing so far because they have great combos and delicious dressings. I am surprised to read these reviews from the LIving social peeps cause I have had nothing but great things to say. The service from top to bottom is excellent and the food fab....I mean really it is for weight loss people what do you expect? Do not use this company! I ordered a 60 day contract and due to several errors in menu planning, mold on food and the deliveries going to addresses down the street, I cancelled my subscription. Slenderzone refuses to refund my money - they can't remember me, and they need to check with bookkeeping.... I've heard so many excuses and it's been months of me emailing and calling and pleading for my refund and they ignore it. They are inept and corrupt. Slenderzone (aka: Chef In Charge) still owes me over $1,500.00 and they refuse to refund my money. I have asked, I have shown them the charges to my credit card, the receipts, and I get the same answer - for months now. We'll have our bookkeeper review this. MOnth after month and month and they continue to ignore the fact that they owe me a refund of over $1,500.00. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and that money back guarantee if you decide to cancel the services...? A joke. They will not give you your refund. They owe me over $1,500.00 and refuse to refund it -- I paid the other almost half of the contract, and that's fine, I received the services, they weren't great, but I did use some of the foods -- but then I cancelled and Chef Sharon and her crew have chosen to ignore giving me the balance I paid. Still many months later and still NO REFUND. Slenderzone can not be trusted on many levels. They send foods you specify you are allergic to (seafood), they sent me MOLDLY food and they delivered my food to the wrong address, and also delivered when I specifically arranged to stop delivery due to travels - they delivered even though I called in and said to stop services because I would be out of town! I was assured they would be able to stop the services, Chef Sharon stated that they stopped services all the time for people who travel a lot with their jobs - yet, they didn't stop the services and that weeks food was a waste. It's a shoddy business and these are the reasons I stopped services with them - and now after asking and providing receipts and charge card proof, they won't refund the unused portion of my contract. $1500 may not be a lot, but it is my money and I would really like to have it back. I purchased a five day trial through Living Social. I was excited about the trial, as their website advertises healthy, tasty meals and I'm always up for trying something that allows me to eat healthy and not have to cook. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It took several calls just to speak with someone who could start my delivery. When I finally did get someone on the phone, I gave very specific instructions about my place, as it is located behind gates. When my food was NOT delivered to me, I left two messages, spoke with one person on the phone and finally received a call from Chef Sharon herself. She sounded annoyed to be talking to me, blamed me for choosing to live where i did and said that she would "try" to give me all five days of meals. She couldn't guarantee anything. She said she would attempt one more delivery and if it was too difficult for her, not to deal with her, but to get my money from LivingSocial. Don't these small companies participate in these promotions to get new business? Why be rude to a new customer? I can't say anything about the food. I never got any. read more

My wife ordered Slenderzone for several months. She is a vegan and we have been attempting to get pregnant, so she signed up this past March believing that improved nutrition would help our chances of conception. The first several weeks of this service were absolutely spot on. My wife has very particular food preferences, and the staff was very accomodating in meeting all of her needs. She spoke with Chef Sharon several times and Sharon worked hard to make sure her orders were correct. The food tasted delicious! My wife was also very careful to document each and every order and transaction via email. However, this past month, my wife and I took a much needed vacation abroad. My wife was careful to call and email one week prior to our leaving to request a hold on the delivery service. While we were abroad, we learned from my mother in law that there were several days (4) worth of meals waiting on our front porch. These meals went uneaten, as we returned 3 days later. My wife phoned and emailed on our return. While initially the staff apologized and promised to refund our 4 days of delivery, they sent a follow-up email refusing a refund. My wife was finally able to reach Chef Sharon on her cell phone after several days of ignored phone messages. Chef Sharon was apparently receiving phone calls from her car in a parking lot. She was irate, complaining (and berating my wife for having the nerve to call her while she was in her car) that she couldn't possibly follow up on all of her emails, that she could not remember all of my wife's details during this phone call, and had no pen or paper to write with. My wife promised to call her back one week later to follow-up and did, but never received a return call. It seems that Chef Sharon is in way over her head. She is a great chef, but her business is now swamped, and customer service has not only taken a back seat, but it is last priority. Chef Sharon has no business sense and I fear that her business will soon go under, not because of poor product, but because of poor communication and follow-up. Chef Sharon still owes us 4 days worth of food delivery (more than $120 worth of food), but wife is only requesting one day's worth of refund to be rid of this service. Buyer beware!!! read more

This is the second time I have used Chef Sharon's services. I had a bypass bariatric surgery about a year ago. I lost over 70lb. In the last few months I noticed my portions got larger and my weight went up a few pounds. I decided to use her service to get my portions and weight under control. The food arrives on time, is tasty and I already in the first week and few days lost 5lb. And I am not hungry. I like the convenience of not needing to cook. With the exception of breakfast where I make a boiled egg, some sweet bell pepper, slice of turkey and coffee the rest of the day the food is ready and I don't have to think about it. The food is really homemade, not full of chemicals. It is real food, fresh and tastes good. Chef Sharon called a few times after I started and checked up on me to make sure all is O.K. it was very nice of her to check. I am really happy with the program. read more

Obviously none of your customers who wrote bad reviews have ever been on Jenny Craig or simular diets. I did not get it to diet .......just to have food delivered for the summer. Yes the portions are smaller than you would normally eat but you can always add some more veggies. Not to mention the the groupon was only $99. For the price and the amount of service it is awesome. The food is fresh and tasty for diet food. It is made with great care and detail. The delivery is always on time and packed well. The person who schedules is very sweet and accomadating. I am a super picky eater and was very impressed with the menu. Even at full price, this service is a great deal...sorry to read some off those bad reviews that were a little harsh. I, too, got a voucher from Living Social and was disappointed to say the least. I checked the delivery area before I purchased the voucher and it said "Los Angeles", but apparently not downtown, so then they suggested that they drop it at a friend's house for me. Maybe I'm a terrible misanthrope, but I don't have those kinds of friends. Finally, we agreed that they would drop at my office in Hollywood. I found the food best described as depressing. I've never eaten so much cabbage in my life. I'm a huge fan of meal delivery plans and this one is definitely not going to be getting repeat business from me. read more

I had a very bad experience with this company. 1. After I bought the deal, wrote down all my preferences, address and choose a delivery time. They called me the next day and told me they can not deliver to my area (downtown Los Angeles) and I need to give them another location. So I had them deliver my food to a friend of mine who lives in their delivery circle and every time i have to drive 17 mile back and forth to get my food. 2. The deal says 4 meals a day but I was only receiving 2 meals a day. 3. The meal portions are very very very small. I was on a diet delivery service before for over a year so I know what I am talking about. I ate lunch and dinner for lunch and still was hungry. 4. They get: 1-star for the convenience factor 1-star for the flavorful food 1-star the yummy cheesecake Am deducting stars for: No carbs. Not one. I didn't think I was signing up for an atkins like diet. No added fat: Well I am not a fan of oily food, a little fat helps you feel more satisfied. Just used this service and completely lLOVE it! (In fact, I'm eating some of their meatballs as I type this review.) The meals are great. -- alot of creativity goes into the planning so there are some wonderful surprises. Shrimp marinara was to die for, crunchy salads, spicy sloppy joe, chicken "marcela" and on and on. The delivery is prompt. The people there courteous and interested in your progress . It's one of the best things I've done for myself. I purchased a deal on Bloomspot. While their customer service was initially quite good, the food and packaging was rather bleh....menu items were repeated and I only had a 5-day trial. My first meal was yummy, a nice salad and some interesting turkey stix but everything else was forgetful. I liked that the oranges were peeled from their skin but the desserts were gross, I had one bite and threw the rest away. There was absolutely no follow-up or evaluation cards to provide feedback. I have been compelled to write a review on SlenderZone because of the delicious food and great success I've had thus far. First, let me start by saying that I initially tried SlenderZone because of a living social deal I purchased several months ago. I recently had a baby and needed to shed some of the extra weight so I tried the 5 day special they offered. I really had no major expectations but I was very happily surprised to lose 8 POUNDS IN 5 DAYS!!!! Wohoo!!! I knew I had an ace in my back pocket for that last 10 pounds. So fast forward to a few months later and my baby will be turning 1 in a few weeks and I still have 14 more pounds to get back to my prepregnancy size - so I figure its time for SlenderZone. This time I opt for the 10 day program and I'm 8 days into it and down 7 MORE POUNDS. God bless Chef Sharon! I am thrilled and the food is delicious. Also, the delivery system is very easy. They picked up and handled me right away. They told me when i could start my service and all went great. tried the food and enjoyed it. Desserts are amazing! I have been dieting for years, and NOTHING seemed to work. I got in touch with a friend/personal trainer who said that my problem was the FOOD I was eating. I have tried three meal delivery services and Slenderzone is superior to the others when it comes to menu variety and food freshness. Where I find they shine is in their preparation of vegetables and salads. Other food services sent me boring, steamed, tasteless vegetables I struggled to swallow. Slenderzone veggies are deliciously seasoned and as much of a treat to eat as their desserts which are yummy. Their salads are awesome. Again, the other services I tried sent me variations on iceberg lettuce with a couple of carrot curls to add some jauntiness to an otherwise blah ensemble. Slenderzone is very creative with their salads my favorites being the broccoli and the cauliflower salads. And when they send greens, you can bet there's colorful veggies or fruits peeking through to heighten the flavor. I love some of their entrees and there's a few I did not like but for those I just email them and it's put on my dislike list never to appear in my delivery bag again. I decided that enough was enough and I had to loose this weight I have put on over the past 2 years. My friend told me about slender zone. I think it was the best thing I ever did for myself. Since I am Armenian I love to eat a lot of sweets and bread so its very hard for me to even try any kind of diet. Slender Zone was super convenient for me. They deliver the food to me every morning. I have my breakfast, lunch and dinner, and desert and all their yummy snacks in between. The food is very tasty. At first I felt the portions are small but that's because I was so used to eating my big lunches and dinners every day. After a few days I adjusted and was feeling completely full and satisfied. I love Slender Zone because the food has taste in it. I have tried Jenny Craig before and couldn't stand the food. With Slender Zone the meals are very yummy and healthy at the same time. Chef Sharon uses dressings that have absolutely no fat or sugar. I have lost a total of 22 pounds in the last 2 months. I feel great, all my beautiful cloths that did not fit me are now fitting me and are actually fitting loose. I will continue with Slender Zone for a very long time, I even feel that once I have lost all the weight that I intend too I will continue with Slender Zone because the food is very healthy and I feel great eating it. Got Groupon deal for Slenderzone for my husband. He lost a total of 17lbs in 30 days! He loved how easy it was -- no fuss. He followed Chef Sharon's instructions and got the results he wanted! I wrote a review of SlenderZone for Yelp a couple of months ago and was surprised that I was unable to find so I am writing a new one. I am very pleased with the service I have been receiving with SlenderZone. I originally purchased a $99 deal through Bloomspot and once the trial week was over immediately signed up for continued delivery. My goal was two-fold: portion control and not having to worry about what to make for dinner after a long day! I have been extremely pleased with both the quality of the food and the outstanding service provided by Chef Sharon and her crew, with particular shout-outs for Brenda as well as the delivery crew. They have been extremely accommodating to any changes in scheduling as well as receptive to comments regarding likes and dislikes of the food. Everything is fresh and since I have a particularly nasty sweet-tooth their desserts have been outstanding and fulfilling.
