Firstly, the sales staff at this location are fantastic--very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They excel in all aspects of the sales process. However, that's where the positives end.
We've had our Sleep Number bed for a year and a half. It was great for the first six months, but then problems began. The bed stopped reading settings accurately--setting it to 35 might show 25 or 50. Frustrated, we contacted customer service. And we're advise to monitor the "Situation" upon a second call to customer support My wife spoke with a representative who came across as moody and rude and didn't seem attentive to the issues she described.
The representative quickly concluded that the hose lines were faulty and sent replacement parts, promising that a repair technician would set up an appointment. About three weeks later, the technician arrived and immediately determined that the hoses were not the problem. The motor was faulty and needed replacement--just six months into ownership of a mattress and frame costing over $8,000.
The technician explained that installing the motor ourselves was simple. While we agreed, we still had to pay out-of-pocket $270.00 for the motor because customer service hadn't processed it correctly--despite the initial misdiagnosis. The motor finally arrived about three weeks later, and installation was as simple as the technician described.
Now, six months after the motor replacement, we're still experiencing issues: incorrect sleep number readings, deflation, and a lack of support. My wife has started experiencing arm and shoulder pain due to the mattress's inadequate support.
It's extremely disheartening to pay over $8,000 for a mattress that develops major issues within six months and continues to underperform. Customer service has given us the runaround, and Sleep Number has not taken meaningful steps to correct these ongoing problems.
Bottom line: Be very cautious before purchasing. Faulty issues can appear quickly, and there's little help available. This experience has caused sleepless nights and physical discomfort--and it raises concerns about potential long-term health issues due to poor mattress performance. read more
