Really? This is how wiring is done?
Marqus R.

My night at Sleep Inn was a horrid disaster. My room was nice enough, the staff was nice enough and the basic physical setup was just fine. But little did I realize that this place turns into a truck repair lot with workmen shouting and truck engines revving. I phoned the front desk about all of the noise and they told me point blank that until quiet hour, which was ten o'clock, these guys could make all the noise and rev all of the truck engines they wanted to. Not to be picky, but I'm a weary traveler and really need some early rest, but I didn't get it here ,so I won't be back to allow the same to happen again. Though the room was OK and the rates really good, there are some quirky thing about the place. Such as, I have never seen such a horror of a wiring just as within my room. Like really, to me it looked like a fire hazard just waiting to happen. Fortunately if it does, I won't be there for it.

My wife and I checked in here, just to stay one night on our way from South Carolina (Hilton Head) to Toronto Canada. We booked online, and when we arrived at midnight check in was easy and seamless. They take CAA and AAA and that gave us a slight discount. It was hard finding parking though. Their lot was full which indicated they do well with their business. The rooms weren't super fancy but they were nice and somewhat modern. Between the comfy bed, the free wi-fi, the free continental breakfast and the price, this place proved to be a decent place to stay for a night. I wouldn't stay longer though, as for me this is a place you stay only for one night. We were not disappointed.

Pool is across a driveway from the motel.

This was just what we needed on our travels. A clean comfortable place to sleep. Nothing fancy but…read morecomfortable. I was traveling with my elderly mom, and the front desk person (Tanaya?) was SO NICE checking us in efficiently and making sure mom was able to get to the room with all her things (mom gets mad when I help, lol), including a heavy oxygen machine that goes with her CPAP. Coffee in the morning was hot and fresh. Nice bed with good pillows. It's being renovated, so soon it will be all spanking modern too.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR ROOM!!!!…read more On July 23rd, I checked into room 211. At first, I was pleased with the service provided by Vickie, the front desk clerk, that was more than helpful throughout my and my family's stay. The rates for the room were fair and the room/check-in area was clean, as I was walking in, Vickie was vacuuming the check-in area. However, the trip took a sharp turn that violated my and my sister's rights to privacy, and the noise disturbance was unbearable throughout the stay. First, I will explain how the Super 8 staff violated the contract of my stay. While on July 24th, at approximately 11:00 a.m., my sister, who shared the room with me, heard a noise rattling on the electronic lock outside our door. As she grabbed to open the door, a man, who claimed to be a hotel staff manager, was trying to unlock our door just as she opened the door to explore the noise. He asked her, while I was still in bed from the night before, if he and 5 other men could work on our bathroom because of the remodeling that is going on within the Super 8, which we had no idea about before we checked into the room. My sister felt intimidated and chose to let the men into our bathroom when we were both in our room. The worse part is that the man would have entered the room either way, and our privacy was invaded upon. Also, while checking out on July 26th at 10:00 a.m., a man that worked for the hotel manager was on a hydraulic machine outside of our window peering into our room, smiling while he was putting blue tape on our window; I have a video of this incident that I can attach if needed. There are many other things that I could mention but aren't in direct violation of the contract: rude cleaning service, the mini fridge didn't work, the bathroom didn't lock, the safe was broken, the toilet had a leak, etc. But I chose to focus more on the violation of my contract for one main reason: I and my family did not feel safe at this Super 8. Next, the not-so-serious situation was the noise of construction, which I had no idea about before or during my stay, it was so bad that me and my sister, who has a 2-year-old daughter, could not get a wink of sleep. We heard a beeping noise that stayed consistent for hours, the noise was coming from the same hydraulic machine that the man who was taping our window was using. Also, there were noises of hammering, sawing, and yelling orders from as early as 7 a.m. without any kind of warning beforehand.
