I had always had to call numerous times eventually email seemed to work for appointments but there was not one time that I only had to contact office once. usually numerous attempts, calls, emails until a response. The worst experience was this fall. was when I was given samples of new medicine for my condition. I contacted office when I was down to 3 days left of medicine. requested MD send a prescription to pharmacy and told them I had 3 days left (my other doctors always fill meds no problem) and did not want to stop medicine cold turkey. My email was ignored had to stop medicine premature. Pharmacy was able to give me info about side effects from stopping abruptly. I had been on it for 3!weeks I lucked out with a few side effects. I then contacted office told them what happened and requested a prescription No response had to email a few times to get response. the secretary seemed annoyed. Stated prescription had been faxed. pharmacy waiting for insurance I said to her that my pharmacy has all my info, so where did you send prescription as my pharmacy said they never received it. I was then ghosted for weeks (they still will not tell me where prescription was sent). I then went to office portal to let Dr Que know what was happening. no response. I finally sent email giving them a piece of my mind and requested all my medical records including 2 sleep studies. I asked 4 times with first request in December. Received my last email from office 3 weeks ago, again email came off as secretary very annoyed no apology. This was not a something minor, this involved medication, something could have gone wrong when I had to stop medication abruptly. It was a new medication. The office did not seem to think this was a serious matter. When I got last email the secretary requested my address to send records. Again call me naive, but if you have my chart you would have address I gave it to her anyway and 3 half weeks later no records. I am beyond upset. I have never ever been treated so rude or callously by non medical personnel and not too happy that the doctor did not acknowledge my email concerns. Not sure what I will do, at this point Just want my records and be done with this office My warning is, be prepared to not have calls returned or emails answered unless you contact numerous times. Funny, the billing office got right back to me to tell me I had balance on my bill and apparently was told by office to remind me of my appointment which I had cancelled. I never imagined or wanted to write a negative review especially concerning medical office. As patients we are customers and should never be treated this way Please go with eyes open. You will get good treatment from MD but be aware of what you may encounter with office. I am on to a new sleep MD , hopefully i will have MY medical records to show to new MD

She was the 8th TMJ specialist I visited (in NY and NC) in seven years because I refused to believe I couldn't be helped. My bite was so misaligned that my jaw would lock and pop constantly, I was knocking 5 top teeth loose, and I suffered constant pain and debilitating migraines. Dr. Davidian is an artist, with incredible passion, to create and define the perfect pain free position of the jaw/bite. She created a 'fixed orthotic' that was like a bite guard attached to my lower teeth which stayed in place until my muscles relaxed and jaw was in perfect operating position. For the first time in seven years, I had no pain, no popping, nothing. It was truly incredible. I had nearly given up hope, but Dr. Davidian gave me back my happy pain free life. Now, in partnership with a TMJ Orthodontist, my teeth will be moved to the optimal position for a permanent solution. I'm so grateful I never gave up my search to find the right doctor, and I'm even more grateful that the right doctor is a multi-talented, inspiring, dedicated woman. It is obvious she is constantly challenging herself and has an incredible wealth of knowledge. But what is even better is that she is so kind, approachable, and she cares. I am so grateful to Dr. Davidian and her staff and words can't truly convey the challenges I faced over the past decade. Dr. Davidian was my Christmas miracle!

Starting with the location, which is listed as the exact same address as the hotel the center is housed in, there are no signs and no directions to get to the center. I naturally go in the front door, where the Front Desk Attendant first ignored me, then was rude when I asked if he had a mask (since they still require it, even if you're vaccinated), and rude when I told him I was looking for the Duke Sleep Disorder Center. The directions he gave me were wrong, so I ended up walking around the entire building on the 4th floor, before calling the Sleep Center for assistance. When I called the sleep center, Duke Appointments Center picked up, and the associate on the phone was rude, then wouldn't disconnect the call so that I could complete the customer service survey. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but reported her poor customer service and poor attitude to the Duke Customer Service Center. Once I finally located the entrance, Juliette, a sleep tech, took her sweet and precious time walking to the door (which was locked and required opening) very rude. When she asked me what time my appointment was, I told her, and she checked her watch (it was 2:10pm). I understand I was 10 minutes late, but I didn't anticipate having to walk around the entire building in 97°F heat to get to the center. When I told her that I had to walk all the way around the building, she said ok, with NO regard that it is 97°F outside. I asked for a paper towel to wipe my face (which was dripping with sweat), and she said I would get one in a minute after she checked me in. Seriously?! She made it very clear that she did not care that no one told me that I had to exit the hotel to get to the center, and there were no signs at the entrance to the hotel pointing patients to where the center is (when I left, I saw the sign for the center, down the hill from the first entrance and in the shade, not visible from the front driveway). I guess I am supposed to be clairvoyant and discern where the entrance is. I REALLY don't appreciate this treatment and I haven't ever been treated like this at Duke, especially with the number of surveys they have patients complete. I know I need to have the sleep study I was referred for done, but I really don't want to pay for this service considering how I have been treated. Do better!

My technician Kim was professional, friendly, and attentive. I didn't know what to expect based on the reviews of the hotel but Duke evidently keeps this floor tip top. First it was difficult for me to…read morewalk 6 minute because of intense pain in my legs and even though I was "allowed" to stop for a few seconds I was told to keep going. After the walk test was done I was told that I didn't need oxygen any more. Not at home or anywhere. (Only to be told later by a different doctor and nurses that I should be on home oxygen until at least after after a surgical procedure. The second test was in a kind of small chamber where the next breathing tests were done. I immediately informed the technician that I am extremely claustrophobic and she said "Everyone else can do it, so you can too. It seemed hardly anything I said mattered. So I pushed through and finished the first test, ending in severe distress and breathlessness. What really made me feel terrible and belittled was something the woman said "Ok, let's try again but stop with all the faces" referring to my facial reactions when I just couldn't breathe out more air into the machine and started coughing pretty bad. That made me feel like a child, or worse, that I was pretending not to be able to do the exercises. And the constant "I have done this for a long time and everyone else do this, so you can do it too." I'm sorry, but that was probably one of the most uncomfortable I felt with medical staff. I will give WakeMed 5 stars across the board because they saved my life and they actually listened. Every single doctor, nurse or imaging technician has treated me with nothing but kindness and respect at every appointment I have. But this was not the case here. (At least in how I personally have felt throughout the appointment.

After not hearing anything for about 3 months, I got a call from another Dr. who stated he was taking over for Dr. Santos. I was told I did not have to do another sleep study for the CPap machine, that he does things different than Dr. Santos and I would be getting one in the mail. This has been over 6 months and I still am waiting to hear from someone. If you want to be informed, and know what's going on do not go here. They do not communicate very well and seems to be a waste of time. I don't understand how professional business operate like this. They should be ashamed. And there is no way to get in contact, the message is outdated with no way to reach a live person.
