So, I said ok...well staying asleep IS my main issue so I would like to go their facility. Then she asked where I am...I am in Santa Cruz. To which she said "That's too far for you to come to our facility" and I said I realize where you are and I am willing to drive an hour for great service. This is my health after all and a huge problem I'd like to solve. Then she says ok, I'll send you contact information about the doctor (or some kind of information) and she's about to hang up but I stop her to saying "Wait! How are you sending me this information??" and she said she'll text it but I was using a google voice number, not my cell. I told her that, gave her my cell number and we ended the call. During the study, I had 54 AHI events per hour (almost 1 event per minute). The doctors made it clear if that I didn't treat my sleep apnea that this could lead to an early death. I called every CPAP company in the bay and eventually called Air for Life. I was able to talk to Jon on the phone immediately and come in that same day. When I came in, I felt like I was taken care of. Jon walked me through how to use the machine and fitted me for my mask. I found out through our conversation that Jon is a registered nurse and also uses CPAP therapy to treat his OSA. I'm so glad that I was able to find Air For Life and take care of this. It's been 2 months of using my AirSense 11 and I feel so much more rested and no longer need take naps in the middle of the day. That great advice meant Medicare covered my first order. The really bad: But for my second order, I could not get a timely response or supplies after emailing, telephoning, talking to Johnathan, and texting. I even tried going to their Fremont office but it was closed.

I was not bothering anyone else. This "doctor," Alex Dimitriu, called me at home and told me he was incarcerating me in a locked facility. I tried to talk to him to see what the problem was and address any concerns he might have. He arrogantly just told me "I'm not going to argue with you." The law was on my side and civil rights exist. I politely told this person that he technically could not legally do this to me. His response was to threaten to call the cops on me, weaponizing his medical license and the racial dynamics of the situation. Interacting with Alex Dimitriu left me feeling like the most helpless victim. He forced himself on me through "medical treatment" - involuntary incarceration. He spit on my right to due process - the one guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. Alex Dimitriu treated me like three-fifths of a person. I have been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of Dimitriu's aggression. I have not felt safe since he ignored the law, stripped me of my rights, and traumatized me. The professional psychotherapist I consulted (who is licensed by the state of California) called Dimitriu's actions "a disgusting abuse of power." It was as comfortable as one could make it, given the numerous wires that were hooked up to me at the time. Two reasons for the low score: 1) It is incredibly difficult to get ahold of anyone at the office to answer questions or make an appointment. After my doctors office assured me that the necessary paperwork had been sent to the sleep center, i had to repeatedly call their office and leave multiple voicemails in order to schedule my sleep study. If I wasnt proactive in reaching out to the office, I fear my study wouldnt have been scheduled for weeks later than it actually was. 2). While the rooms are comfortable, they are unfortunately NOT sound proof. I was awoken in the middle of the night by the sound of doors opening and closing, a TV being on in the background, and the proximity to Garden Road and the Monterey Airport didnt help as I could hear traffic on the road and airplanes landing/taking off. You would hope that the facility would take more steps to sound proof the rooms, especially given the fact that the sole purpose of the facility is for sleep studies.
