She was very thorough during the consultation to make sure I understand what she is about to do and that I also get what I came in for. My original hair was highlighted (super bleached/ashy) and had a bad layered cut (turns out I had a mullet I wasn't aware of lol). I wanted to return to my natural color and also get a cut to even out my layers. Within two hours, Hanh achieved the color and cut seamlessly through proper and detailed steps to repair my damaged hair. My experience with her was fantastic. One of the things I appreciate most about Kay is that she actually listens to me. I always leave feeling like my hair looks and feels like me. We haven't really gotten into coloring my hair just yet, and honestly, I appreciate that even more. I had previously bleached my hair with another hairstylist, and because Kay didn't know exactly what products or processes had been used on my hair before, I didn't want her to just jump into another color treatment. Instead, we've been patiently working on cutting off the previously bleached ends and getting my natural hair healthy again and just toning my hair. Once all of that old bleach is gone and my hair is completely natural, we can finally start working toward the color I want. I really appreciate how honest and careful Kay is with my hair. You start off the service with getting your hair washed and then head over to the chair where Jennifer does her assessment of the next steps. Jennifer was really sweet and personable during the haircut and she also gave honest feedback on what worked for my face. The end result exceeded my expectations since the layers were done so well. Also a big bonus of this salon is the value for the services. A lot of salons and barbershops nowadays charge exorbitant prices that it's difficult to find somewhere affordable and high quality.
