I've purchase clothes, shoes, ammo, fishing gear,etc., and they have pretty much the stuff you need when you need it. The one thing that doesn't allow me to be a loyal customer is their policy on the sale of guns. They have a great selection of guns and when they have a sale, the sale price is absolutely great. The think is, I never purchase a gun from them no matter how low their sale price is. The reason is, their policy is to not remove the trigger lock until after you have purchased the gun. So, you can't get a true feel for the gun. You can't get a feel for the trigger. You can't get a feel for the weight. Three very important things, especially if you conceal carry. I have already passed on THREE guns that I ended up purchasing elsewhere. I always forget that they have this policy. I will get a great price on a gun I am interested in, emailed to me. I'll drive the 8-miles to the store, just to be reminded that they will not remove the trigger lock so I can get a true look at the firearm. They always suggest that I go to another gun store, check the gun out, and go back to them to purchase it. I will NOT do that. That is just wrong. If I'm going to go to another gun store to check it out, I will purchase the gun there, and not and Dunhams. I even had one clerk at the store tell me that the miss out on a lot of gun sales for this policy. I know it's not the clerks fault, so I don't get angry at the clerk, but I just can't buy a gun from a store that won't let me truly look at it.

I found the items in question that they most certainly had in stock. Now it's too late and I have to wait to see if I actually get the item delivered. (And, it confounded me because I have previously spent big bucks as an established customer and that this purchase was a high dollar product.) From misinformation on the website about the product being in stock (when it was not), to lies and false promises from the call center agents (the first 2x I called about my order) and then being told that employees of a sister-store (that actually had the item) would NOT communicate nor comply with a co-worker's request for help/information (which I found to be incomprehensible and totally shocking and unacceptable), it was frustrating, upsetting and nerve-racking because the clock was ticking to earn a Rebate from the manufacturer for the product by Dec. 31, 2025. And until about, the 15th, when I finally reached call center rep "Kevin" who kept his WORD and got me in touch with Isaac B., the Assistant Manager for Customer Service, who turned out to be my savior and the man who turn my disaster of a transaction from lemons to lemonade !! So, to sum up KUDOS to Isaac B. (who became my Santa Claus) and commendations to Kevin & Andy (in Billing) and honorable mention to Amanda the last call center rep who listened and followed-through. As a side bar, this gift to myself is sort of a Bucket List item to remotely bring a little happiness to myself due to the 39 year loss of my 2 children, who were kidnapped in 1987 and who have NEVER been found.
