She was also lacking social skills like knocking me over at a doorway or jumping up on everyone. Our little girl spent 7 days boarding with Fit n furry for training. The fabulous trainer Marie Haven did a great job. On the last day we went for a human training class. We were taught human skills to continue her training. Marie worked wonders. My dog is in check with my cats, off the furniture, she waits at doorways and leaves things when told. I am much happier at home and I believe my dog is too. Marie is very patient, supportive, knowledgeable and kind. She is the perfect trainer.

I called Fit N Furry to talk to them about boarding my cats. I received a text message back from Bailey and we had a text conversation, and got a tour set up. On the day of the tour, I called the center just to confirm and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told there was no one there that would be able to give me a tour. The person on the tour scheduled me for a tour weeks away. I texted the original number back and asked what had happened. I actually asked them if they were human, because I'd had experiences before of AIs just not forwarding information to a human. But I was assured, via text, that I was speaking to a human and that they were sorry and their manager would reach out shortly. (To this day no one has reached out.) Weeks went by and I went in for my rescheduled tour. I walk in and they had no record of a tour but they would be happy to show me around. Just fill out this form. I filled out the form. The person at the desk looks at my form and goes "oh, your cats are too old to board here." Excuse me? After all this, my cats are ineligible anyway? At this point I had spent 3 hours in the car and who knows how long on the phone and text with them, getting at this sorted out. If this is the level of organization that is visible from the outside, I shudder to think what the behind-the-scenes organization looks like.

Ask any other trainer and they will tell you your dog needs routines to build on and Dogs have Energy already they need walks to expend that Energy not the other way around. I thought that this could injure someone so a few months ago I started asking my friends if they knew a dog trainer. I was recommended to contact Dominic at Citizen Canine. I was told that he trains dogs who have problems and solves the issue kinda like the dog whisperer. So we talked on the phone and he said that he can stop my dog from jumping on people. We met at a local park and started the lesson. Little did I know that besides training my dog he was teaching me how to correct the bad behavior. I saw right from the start that his method was working so I signed up for more lessons. It has been about three months now and my dog has not jumped on anyone and the lessons have made him behave extremely well around other dogs too. He walks right next to me when we are walking and I don't need a leash. I will say you have to be dedicated to the lessons with Dominic and work on it on your own so that your dog responds to the commands. Dominic doesn't just train the dog he trains you. I think it was worth it and I highly recommend Citizen Canine.

Although they had multiple walkers, the quality was uniformly good. These are folks you have to trust. They not only come into your home, they have your pets, who are members of the family. They have to display competence and integrity. We had no concerns. Then after the dogs passed away and we had a hiatus because my wife wanted to wait before adopting another pup, we welcomed Bebe to the family. We eventually ended up with a regular walker, who was an aunt to Bebe, and whose dog became friends with our dog (until tragically she shuffled off her mortal coil, a profound sadness in the relationship with all companion animals). We feel that Yukiko is just akin to a relative. She is that close to our beloved dog. Courtney, the proprietor, is responsive and responsible.

After the first two sessions, she disappeared for several weeks. I had to call, email, and text a handful of times until I finally got a response. She said she had a family emergency and we finally scheduled a third session. I get it and would be willing to excuse a one off emergency as things happen, but this was not an isolated incident. When trying to schedule the next session, the same thing happened. Numerous calls, texts, and phone calls with no response this time. It's been two months and still never got back to me. I prepaid her in cash for 4 sessions to get a discounted rate. Problem is I never got the 4 sessions I paid for (only 3). So, I ended up paying more than I had just paid full price after each one. She's fine if you can get a hold of her. However, I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for more than one session because of the lack of communication and consistency. Definitely don't prepay like I did - spent $500 and only got 3 sessions instead of the 4 I paid for.
