Prior to that every two to three weeks I visited a genius who understood what I was looking for and did impeccable work. Unfortunately, an accident put her out of commission. Then COVID. Then a move across town. I like to change my beard with the seasons. In January through April, I keep it short and usually manage to wrangle it with a trimmer at home. Then, in May I start to grow it short on the sides and a bit longer on the chin. Not at all easy to do. Finally, in fall I go pretty much full Santa, playing his helper with neighborhood kids. I called this morning and the owner, Jess, got me an afternoon appointment with Jordanne. In the meantime, I received a text confirming the appointment and another one about 45 minutes before show time. I met Jordanne at exactly 4:30. Both of them were done by Mandy, who I believe is the manager, and she rushed through them so much that they were uneven. My husband was unhappy with the fade in his hair and the next morning I had to even it out for him. Today, she zipped through my older son's haircut - my younger son's haircut had started ten minutes before, and Mandy was finished with the older one long before the younger was finished, leaving uneven patches on the sides of his head. I understand the need to get to the next client, but not at the expense of quality. At this point the haircuts are not looking good and we will probably go elsewhere next time.
