Since we moved to Milwaukee, hubby has been having a hard time finding a barber shop that takes their time, has the sports/guy talk vibe and is trendy. It seems like all patrons had an appointment - but I am sure they also take walk ins. Just call before hand to make sure. Hubby called before he came in and they were able to see him almost right away. They have plenty of stations and waiting chairs. There only appears to be street parking, but it wasn't an issue for us. Alex did an awesome job on his hair and I didn't have to help him correct any "imperfections" he typically finds at other barbers. Pricing is very fair. read more

Service was actually very good it's just the owner was kind of stuck up and cocky about how he could give a good haircut when after he cut my hair I had cuts on the back of my neck from his blade and the vibe itself gave me the feeling that I wasn't welcome there but the only good thing from this review was that my haircut was genuinely really good which is why I gave this 2 stars and not one. read more

We are visiting the Milwaukee area and wanted to get a haircut. I found Mr. Vs was close to the State Fair Park where we are staying. I called and made two appointments for 2pm on 7/28. We arrived about 7 minutes early. When we walked in we weren't greeted or even asked if we had an appointment. We sat there until about 2:10 when one of the barbers and another customer with another barber got into a fight. They were both out of their chair spaces and in the middle of the shop screaming at each other and about ready to share blows. We just got up and left before something worse happened. This was the most Unprofessional business I have been in. I won't recommend going here. read more

I have been getting a hair cut at this place since it opened at its great. I try and get there in the early to middle part of the week because it can get crowded on weekends and with my job I can always wait around a barbershop for a cut. Dave, the owner, always greets me when I con in and we catch up on sports topics trending while I wait for a seat. I have always been cut by him or Jose next to him and it's always a great cut. They are good about giving out business cards or pine numbers to make a future appointment, and certain times it's definitely needed. read more

Mom here. I didn't think spending money on boys' (6 & 7) haircuts was worth it (they're just kids!). But after several disappointments at the chain places, I decided to try an independent barber. I loved Mr. V's! We were there for an hour and I saw men of all ages and hair types come in. You can tell the barbers here love what they do and care about their work. Guy after guy (and some kids, too!) walked out of there looking really sharp. The adult clients there seemed to really enjoy the full barbershop experience. My boys saw Mondo. I gave him a verbal description for one son and showed a sample picture for the other and he nailed it for both boys. Highly recommend! (And the prices were the same as what other independent shops I looked at charged). read more

My men's cut was over an hour and when I brought back my two boys for a trim the first cut didn't start until 35 minutes after the appointed time. I was going to voice frustration at the fact that my barber checked his phone a couple times while I was getting my cut, but in the end I had the best haircut of my life for just $20, no exaggeration. In actuality my barber was Dave, the owner, and he was playing DJ on his phone for the store, so I felt that was completely understandable. He trimmed my beard with experience and gave me the cut I wanted. He explained to me what he did so that I can communicate it easily the next time I want a cut. I was able to walk-in at 10 A.M. on a Wednesday, so I can't speak to whether or not you need an appointment during busier hours. It was a very professional attitude in a very casual atmosphere. And I got to watch the original Keaton/Nicholson Batman on Netflix while I was there. I'd bet if you're polite enough he might even let you pick what's playing. read more
