Yes, the people enrolled made a mistake. Who hasn't? They are paying for it in more ways than one and are still humans that deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. This place should be shut down or everyone should be fired and get some people in there that actually have empathy and want to help. He was admitted with a LOTS of issues: dehyrated, hypotensive, enterocolitis, right lung pneumonia, positive finding for EPEC (interesting because prior I had called Chico Terrace because Larry had complained to me about having severe diarrhea and when I inquired with Chico Terrace I was informed he ONLY had a light case once and I said he told me for a few days and I was told no we have it written down one time. EPEC is ecoli strain that is usually from contaminated food and/or water), septis, UTI, infection in his stomach area, possible bowel obstruction, bed sores, list goes on. But hey, Chico Terrace had given him a tylenol but he didn't respond to it.....SAD because I had complained to the State approx 2 weeks prior WITH PHOTOS concerning lack of medical treatment and notification and the state ruled no violation!!!! He died. I tried to convince him NOT to go to this place to begin with!!!! AND when I went to get the paperwork to turn into DMV for him to have a handicap pass (again I have photos) their Doctor didn't even FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK, signed blank document and that is what I was given, when I questioned it the staff at the nurse said give it to me and she filled in where it states Doctor is to fill out, what a joke. I EVEN HAD ISSUES WITH THE PLACE into having my friend get to his SPECIALIST DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS!!! They didn't see the need and afterall I was told after 2 weeks of them telling me they had scheduled transport was told we already have 5 scheduled that day so no it wasn't going to happen. One morning I received a call from my friend they had actually CANCELLED an appointment that morning because they didn't have transport but they couldn't remember who they had cancelled with.

Windows broken for over 3 months never fixed they kept giving my mom fish when she is allergic. So we were bringing food for her and her roommate. My family and I became close with a lot of people and brought FOOD SNACKS SODAS TOILETRIES essential needs and now I'm banned. I'm allowed to say my opinion. I helped alot of residents who had nothing. Wearing hospital pants no shoes no deodorant and couldn't eat the nasty food. My sister and I changed bedding for people who had soiled it. Not even our family member we were there for got linens blankets ice water refilled because its what people with compassion do. I Brought dinner for a friend who couldn't carry it to her room with snacks and was yelled at by Melissa c. NS because I was told to not come back in the building over nothing I did during there caterered lunch but was ask by a resident to grab it for her. I have been seeing Lise for well over a year now. I tried a few other therapists in town prior to…read morebeing recommended to her. I can honestly say that I have grown leaps and bounds since she's become my therapist. Most significantly, she shows up authentically. We have very good boundaries as client and therapist, but I swear I feel like I'm talking to my friend when I connect with her. She keeps it real with me and has taught me the importance of being kind to myself. As a person of color, I am conscious of whether a therapist is sensitive to my unique struggles of living in a predominantly White community. She is fantastic in that sense and always validates my experiences. As of late, Lise and I have done therapy sessions by phone, which I have found tremendously helpful because she has been available within the hour. A month ago, I was driving, frustrated about something in my relationship. I texted her and she was willing to do a session immediately. I pulled over to the side of the road, had a powerful phone conversation with her, and was able to journey through the remainder of my day with new tools to navigate my stuff. As I said, we have very professional boundaries, but I swear I want to hug this woman all the time. I couldn't imagine seeing someone different. She's amazing!!!

I have worked with the masters in my field because of Lise and her voice is often that sweet voice of wisdom and self kindness (and humor) that comes to me in times of need. I would recommend her all day long and to the people I most care about. Lise is a therapist's therapist. Lucky for everyone else, you don't have to be a therapist to see her! There aren't enough stars on YELP for Lise Welsh.
