The app immediately sent us two vouchers annd confirmation of our bookings. The tour started at 7:50 am and we took a ferry back and arrived at Circular Quay in the city by 5:45 pm. More about the ferry ride back later. The tour included: 1. Three Sisters Lookout Point 2.Tram and cable rides at Scenic World and a short hike on the Scenic Walkway 3.Lunch at Loaves and Dishes Cafe 4.Entrance into Featherdale Wildlife Refuge. On the day of the tour, the bus picked us up at our hotel the Hilton Sydney. They make a number of pick ups from other hotels. If your hotel is not on the list then you have to meet them at one of the designated hotels. A tour coordinator approached us to get our names. She checked us in on her list and gave us an envelope with tickets for the forthcoming destinations. The bus was a big comfortable climate control vehicle. Our driver/historian/entertainer was magnificent !! He only mentioned his name once at the beginning of the tour and I didn't catch it. In any case, he was terrifically knowledgable about the history of Sydney and the Blue Mountains. He was funny and kept us entertained throughout the whole day. In addition, he clearly instructed us on how to navigate through the different destinations with keen details. His instructions were extremely spot on and helpful. There was a lot of time designated for each destination. We never felt rushed. i On the way back many people opted to book a ferry ride back on the river cruise. We didn't buy that option but the bus driver told us that we still could pay for the ferry ride at the dock. We chose to do that thinking that the bus would run into Sydney rush hour traffic. I highly recommend that you take the ferry ride option. It was a beautiful, peaceful ride back to the city center and only took 30 minutes. We're not sure how long the bus took but surely it wasn't as scenic. In addition, the b So to get on the ferry, we had to purchase tickets. At the dock, there was a vending like machine where you can buy a ticket to get on the ferry. It was $8.50 AUD/person. The ferry made a few stops along the way to pick up other passengers. We thoroughly enjoyed every facet of the tour. It takes you to gorgeous areas of our Sydney trip that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to see on our own. The operators were extremely professional and well informed. It was worth every penny of the approximately $98/person for two people. The Featherdale wildlife park gave us a great up close kangaroo/koala experience, as well as a chance to see some of Australia's bird and reptile species. Lunch in Luera was delicious, and the town was adorable. Following that was the trip to the Blue Mountains, and finally a nice ferry ride home. An adventurous ride and if you have a GoPro camera or a waterproof camera, bring it. For starters, the ticket is quite pricey at $75 for an adult and $45 for a child under 16. However, they do offer discounts for larger groups and you can always purchase the iventure card and it will be one of the attractions/activities that you can choose to do. So glad I did. Once you arrive at the Circular Quay, where you'll set off, you will have to leave all your belongings in a trunk they lock up and put on a parka that is honestly quite useless because it soaks up about 90% the water. Shoes also must be taken off. Luckily, I brought along a plastic poncho to wear underneath. Always be prepared:p Before the ride commences, the driver will teach you a few hand signals to indicate "ok" or "spin" so that you can be prepared for a spin. They'll also remind you of a few safety precautions. Just in case. Then you set off circling the entire Port Jackson! The driver will speed up and slow down to catch you off guard and make the ride more entertaining! Make sure to go on a sunny day and bring a waterproof camera if you can! Chills chills CHILLS! First off, the area is stunning. We…read moretook the ferry to Manly and did the 30~ minute walk to the q station reception. The bus picked us up and took us down to the wharf (so we didn't have to do the 15 minute staircase) and we got a drink at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. The tour kicked off right on time, and immediately upon entering the luggage room I started to feel like something else was with us. Our guide, Chris, was great. He was an amazing story teller and had all of the information. There's so much history here! The next stop was the shower hall, and it was almost too much for me. We then went to a gas chamber and I saw the most clear image of a man near the wall and started feeling dizzy. The walk up to the hospital is slightly steep, but is not too long. And we encountered a couple possums on the path. But the view from the hospital over the harbour is stunning. In the first room at the hospital, I thought I saw my friend in the corner of my eye, but she was on the other side. I realized I was seeing someone in white, but also had the impression of a nuns habit. So imagine my shock when we moved into the second room and the nurse outfit on display was white and the guide discussed a lady spirit that was very religious and sometimes wore a nuns habit. There were some other feelings I got in that room that then were justified by the guide explaining some of the things he and other guests have seen/felt. As we moved on to the final stop, the morgue, I still felt the same presence as the first stop. But once inside the morgue it was overwhelming in a bad way to me so I had to stand outside the doorway while he finished discussing the location. The feeling from the first location stayed with me until our car crossed the bridge and was over the water heading back to Sydney. When both my friend and I felt something brush against her arm and the back of my head and we immediately felt different/lighter/colder. Skeptics beware, but if you go in with an attitude of not trying to explain the unexplainable and generally expecting to be entertained you'll have an interesting time.

Our tour guide started off by telling us about the history of this place which is quite tragic as it involves illness and death. We were taken into all of the buildings in the Q station which are all said to be haunted, I don't want to give too much away but I will say that if you are a skeptic you probably won't be once you've been through this place. Also be aware that there is a lot of walking and steep hills so wear your most comfortable shoes and have fun ghost hunting.

We arrived to the marina early, went to the Captain Cook Cruises desk and got our tickets, then had cocktails outdoors nearby. As the line to board got longer, we finally joined it. Once they opened up for boarding, the line went very fast. As we had window seating, there were no worries and we got a fantastic table location. Drink and dinner orders were taken right away. Bread was served shortly and it was really good. We asked for more and they brought more. Dinner was excellent as was the harbor cruise. After passing the Opera House, we docked near the International Cruise Terminal and most passengers got off. There was one more stop that some stayed aboard for. We stayed. As this point, the sun was setting and the skyline was lighting up with building lights. We went to the top, open deck with fresh drinks. Some of us sat on the deck chairs and us shutter-bugs moved about the deck taking pictures from both sides. We got some amazing shots. The dock we ended at was not the one we started at and we knew ahead of time. We disembarked and grabbed an Uber back to our hotel. I've read a lot of reviews about this cruise. I pre arranged my trip as there is limited room on this 52 foot motor cruiser and you want to make sure you have a spot. The boat picks up at the Commisioners steps, down on the Quay, and as soon as all 10 people arrive for the trip, the boat is off and headed around the harbor, pointing out all the sights along the way. This is the perfect way to see the city of Sydney! Your ticket price includes beverages ( beer, wine or soft drinks), lunch ( on the day I was there is was a 3 course experience with a shrimp appetizer, salmon and steak with salad as the main course and cheese and fruit for dessert). They serve lunch while anchored in one of the bay's and you can swim or kayak while there as well so be sure to bring your swimsuit. The boat has a sun bathing area in the front, a shady area up top, and cushioned seating in the back to enjoy the weather and the views. There is also a bathroom on board so no need to worry about that! The staff is terrific. Terry was our guide and host and he was knowledgeable, personable and at times, I felt like I was out on his personal boat, so how cool is that? My trip lasted about 4 hours and as we pulled back into the dock, I was sad to see it end, This, truly, was one of the highlights of my visit to Sydney!

Sydney Australia was my last stop of my trip to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania returning…read moreto the USA. A suite with an open balcony was reserved through Booking.com but at check-in, a room without an open balcony was assigned. The next day the error was brought to the attention of morning staff and there was instant pushback. I was told than an enclosed balcony is essentially the same as an open balcony as the difference was attributed to mere nuance. Another staff member chimed in and interjected false misinformation was attributed to false advertising on Booking.com . To be clear, Booking.com is merely a third-party online travel agency (OTA) who receives information from hotels to post on their website and has done nothing wrong. I then showed them a pic taken from my room of the adjacent tower that clearly shows open balconies; and I showed them photos from the booking.com website which was the reserved suite which clearly showed an amazing view with an open balcony. There was an uncomfortable silence before a staff member walked their lie back by saying they may not have any open balcony suites available, but he will check his computerized system and then have me the good news that a suite with an open balcony was available. I was instructed to repack and leave my luggage inside the room next the door before I left the hotel for the day such that before I return to the hotel that evening, my luggage would be transferred to a suite with an open balcony. I was told I only need to retrieve the key to the new room at the front desk upon my return to the hotel that evening. Upon returning to hotel that evening, no reassignment to the correct room was done, and there were no notes to the file for my account such that I had to explain the entire situation again to the evening staff who also gave similar pushback, and disingenuously blaming booking.com for false advertising. After finally agreeing to my request , they put me in danger by assigning me to an OCCUPIED ROOM! I noticed a backpack on a kitchen cabinet as I entered the room, and I immediately exited the room without discovery of the occupants that I entered their room! I was then re-assigned a third room, but it was on a lower floor which no amazing view. Moreover , the sliding door to the balcony was locked so I could not access the enclosed balcony. I was initially told maintenance would be there momentarily to unlock the sliding door to the balcony before later being told that the door would be unlocked the next day. The next morning, I asked the morning staff to reassign a suite with a nice view and open balcony consistence with the photos posted on Booking.com; and once again, they told me to repack and place my luggage by the room door again and before I returned that evening, they would move my luggage to the correct suite with a nice view and an open balcony. Upon returning to the hotel that evening, the evening staff did have notes in the file this time but told me that I had not reassigned me to another room because only 2 bedroom suites with open balconies are available at the upper floors with the spectacular views, as if to suggest that the slight difference in cost of a 1-bedroom suite and 2-bedroom suite would be of consequence to me. I eagerly paid the extra cost for the 2-bedroom suite at an upper floor, and the evening staff begrudgingly reassigned me to a suite with an open balcony. After a multitude of excuses, and after FOUR ATTEMPTS over a period of THREE DAYS, the Meriton Suites to finally get it right. Based upon my experience, I am likely that the first Black to ever be assigned a premiere suite with an amazing view and an open balcony at this hotel. All is not bad, as a dapper White lad with bland hair named Alexandro exhibited exemplary customer service and tried his best to assist me within the confines of his management. He understood my frustration and is NOT a racist. Alexandro apologized on behalf of his staff , and his efforts were sincerely appreciated. I interfaced with virtual all reservation staff, both morning and evening staff and received their relentless pushback in my effort to be assigned the 1-bedroom upper floor premiere suite with an open balcony that was prepaid due to covert systematic racism. Like Austria, my home country of the USA also has a shameful barbaric history of unprovoked invasions and encroachment by Western Europeans which includes brutal slavery and cruel genocide of millions of innocent victims; such that this legacy of racism is something I recognize. The solution is for Aboriginal peoples to be employed at the reservation desk such that professional relations can be developed with Blacks to mitigate racist culture. I encourage all potential future patrons to apply soft pressure by referring to this review and asking if any Blacks have been hired before booking with this hotel, and also tell Alexandro 'Earnie' says hello.
