I booked through my travel agency a specific tour in the Blue Mountains in Australia and appeared at the indicated pickup point at the indicated time. The travel agency itinerary showed my booking on my selected tour. I had selected this tour after considerable consideration as it included a significant hike through a World Heritage site, which I wanted. Part way through the tour, the itinerary was different than I had purchased for me and my family. I asked the guide the name of the tour and it was not the one I had purchased., rather one that I had considered and rejected! And indeed it did not include the significant hike I had wanted. At that point there was little I could do, but complete the tour. Afterwards, I contacted AEA Luxury Tours through my travel agent complaining of this and asking for some consideration. AEA merely responded with the particulars of the tour I was given, but did not either apologize or explain why me and my family were put on a tour not of our choosing, without any consultation! I can only surmise that either AEA made a mistake, and booked the wrong tour OR decided for their convenience and economic benefit to put me and my family on a pre-existing, different tour, that had space. Either way, AEA failed to provide the tour that I had selected and paid for, and did not have the honesty to admit their action, apologize and attempt to make amends. read more
