Came out to play on a Saturday and I have to say it is a pretty nice course (at least the 11 holes…read morewe played). Got through front 9 in about 2.5 hours but really started to slow on last couple holes. We made the turn and it turned excruciatingly slow as it took us 45 minutes to play just 2 holes (10 & 11). Had we stayed, it likely would have been well over 3 hours to finish the back 9. There was a tournament in front of us and we saw the marshall at least 3 times but there was absolutely no impact on the pace of play. It was a complete waste of $93!!! Played Sunland the day before ($69 for 18 holes and cart) and much better experience. Not as nice of a course as Dungeness but at least pace of play was manageable and was still a pretty nice course. We had a drink and snack in the bar (I think it was called Stymies) and we enjoyed ourselves. The appetizers were very good (wings and steamers) and my only advice is get extra bread with steamers as the clam broth was very, very good. Cold beer, good drinks and good view of both UofW football game and Ryder Cup golf. Stymies would actually get a much higher rating from our group but since this is a review of Dungeness GC and Stymies, the golf experience really dragged it down. Regretted paying so much and only playing 11 holes but the pace was absolutely one of the worst I've ever experienced.

Not sure how the golf course is but the food is terrible. We had food from here at the crab…read morefestival in port Angeles and it was some of the worst food I've ever had. We had crab poutine. They used crappy fries with lukewarm sausage country gravy (yes sausage gravy) and about 1 tbsp of cold crab. Gross. Also had the crab grilled cheese. One slice of crappy cheese not even melted a little like they did not even pretend to try to grill it. I have no idea why they are serving food like this And I think it is really rude to charge people 20 dollars per item and give them this garbage. People work hard for their money and I'm down to spend it on good food but not on this. Not only will I never go back to the crab festival but I will also never go eat at the the restaurant at the golf course which I have been wanting to try. Now I know they have terrible food and won't bother!

You really need to drive 45-1 hour+ away from Seattle to play better maintained golf courses where…read morethe tee boxes and putting greens aren't chewed up by so many people. Last week, my friends and I drove out to Bremerton to play the Cascade course at Gold Mountain Golf Club and the course was simply immaculate. The tee boxes were full of grass, the fairways were all green (what dry hot weather?) and the greens were perfectly mowed. Plus, there are several holes that have majestic views. This was the second time I've played Gold Mountain and the initial time I played was the Olympic course. If you're a novice or a higher handicap, I'd recommend playing the Cascade course, which is a little bit easier. I don't recommend playing the blue tees like the frat bros in front of us who kept topping their shots. If it wasn't for them, we would have finished faster than 5 hours. I wished the marshals put there would've told them to play quicker. Nonetheless, the facilities here are worth it. There's several putting and chipping greens, a separate area for pitches, and a driving range where you can hit off grass. As for the price, a round on the weekend plus cart is about $70, which is reasonably priced for a weekend round. I would be paying a lot more if I was playing in Seattle, so this is a fairly good value for the weekend. I'll definitely be back to play both courses again.

As a cider fan, I was especially happy to see a solid variety of options. Although I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen, but I'd still come back. It was an especially hectic day with multiple events and a soccer game, so it seemed like everyone arrived at once. I ended up waiting about an hour for my food, which was disappointing. That said, the staff handled the situation really well, there was consistent communication, and they took the time to engage with us, which I appreciated. Still, the kitchen delays and order issues shouldn't be overlooked. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of games, which I'm looking forward to trying next time. The location is another plus, just a few minutes' walk from the T-Link, making it very convenient.

Still decent, just not something I'd rave about. The mini golf is definitely the highlight. It's really cute how the course spells out "SEATTLE," and I loved the little Space Needle to end the last of the mini golf holes. That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!
