Soooo, they told me as it was my 1st time there to try one of the Jolly Rancher flavor teas. It is a herbal based tea with 200 MG of caffeine and protein is added. BOY is it good! It reminds me of Starbucks lemonade green tea. That type of taste. You can kinda taste the added protein, but not bad at all. I am a picky eater, and I enjoyed the tea. The girls there were very sweet as informing of everything that is there and their suggestions for 1st timers. They even gave my toddler some vanilla wafers. The inside is very cute. They offer dozens of specialty shakes and teas and they even offer a kids menu. With so many options, It was so hard for me to choose. I decided to try the cotton candy tea. The taste wasn't what I was expecting but it was still good. The size of the tea was a plus. The staff was patient and friendly. I can't wait to visit again to try a shake. So it was doubly pleasing to be able to introduce her to this pleasing restaurant with its eclectic cuisine. The breakfast menu is what usually draws my attention. Served anytime, not just normal breakfast hours, a customer can choose between crumpets, omelettes, french toast, or just the usual bacon and eggs. I usually order one of their crumpets, but today, chose their Loaded Omelette with cheese grits. More like a purée, the grits were superb, creamy and buttery. My omelette was delivered spicy and hot. Giving my daughter a taste we soon concluded that the sausage used reminded us of the blood sausage we have enjoyed for breakfast in Peru, when we travel there to visit my wife's family. This is certainly not a typical omelette for Mobile, Alabama. My only complaint about it is that it was slightly overcooked and dry. Nevertheless, it was very tasty. My daughter had the Fried Egg and Cheese Crumpet, that she reported to be delicious. A mix-up on my drink order brought me a Turkish coffee rather than a Turkish latte, and suspiciously weak to be considered Turkish. I suspect that the cashier heard "Turkish", but not "latte", and confused, may have decided to see if a regular Americano would pass as an acceptable substitute. Except for the jolt I was expecting to receive, from the latte I ordered, it was acceptable. I am eager to return again to try one of their "Build Your Own Smashburger." Until then I will continue to hold the opinion that I have yet to have a disappointing meal at the RedBar, and I rest assured that my meal on that day will be equally satisfying.

Instead, the staff stood around talking to each other while I waited, completely ignored. When I finally got someone's attention, I explained that it was my first time there and asked a few simple questions about the menu. Instead of being helpful, they acted like I was inconveniencing them. Every answer was short, dismissive, and delivered with an obvious attitude. There was absolutely no effort to make a new customer feel welcome. Customer service clearly isn't a priority here. The entire atmosphere felt cold, awkward, and unfriendly--definitely not the kind of place that makes you want to come back. On top of that, parking is extremely limited, making the experience even more frustrating. If you're looking for a coffee shop with friendly service and genuine hospitality, I'd recommend going somewhere else. I won't be returning.
