We told what we were after and he offered a couple options. Their prices on set of bass strings are about the same as Amazon, if not slightly less. But I did pay them to install them for us, which they did right away. As well as do a mild cleaning on his bass (which it was in dire need of). The drum department has lots of the essentials, and pretty fair amount of used gear at fair prices, but not a plethora of options. But I get it. I was in retail in a previous life. It's brutal. I support local when I can but I'm part of the problem.. I also order stuff online at 1 in the morning cuz I can get price and product comparisons and see what fits my needs and budget at the moment. In the icy cold land of no cell phone service, muddy dirt roads, uncommunicative event coordinators, and early hours, Reggie and his assistant got to the gig and set up with swiftness and efficiency. Contacting Reggie and booking the date was simple, the show sounded great, and best of all, the price was reasonable. (Reasonable price, under $150) I came to this location and within 5-10 minutes found exactly what I was looking for. They had about five to seven monitors for $20 each. The catch! These monitors only accepted VGA hookups so to use them with a modern computer you would need an adapter. I finally settled on one that I liked and asked to see it. The association didn't have a way to test it out so it was for sure a gamble on my end but for the price of twenty bucks how picky can you be. This location had an assortment of different interesting things that people have traded in over the years so if you are into collecting things like coins, baseballs, memorabilia, etc. you may want to check them out. (Plot Twist: the monitor didn't work when I got it home and all sales are final so that was twenty dollars down the drain. I may come back for the other cool stuff they had. )
